Great video! I enjoyed the part about note taking, and contextualizing things in your own life. Made me realize that if I really want to understand these philosophy books, I should probably start performing philosophy... haha I recommend Nausea by Sartre.
@@priyesh_here your recommendations are really amazing bro, just be confident in your words, no matter what age you are....... btw I'm 23 year old kid from India
I discovered your page two days ago and have watched almost all of your videos. Yesterday I was researching how to read faster, and now you post this. That’s awesome
@@reysu what's your take on video games and other hobbies that have no real benefit besides entertainment? Some video like that might be cool! btw love ur videos and saw your journalling vid and i bought my first journal today!
I’m really enjoying the increase of uploads lately. Always a treat! I’d love a video in the future on content creation. How to get started and touch on the benefits of building a personal brand.
Great tips Reysu! here is a tip from Alex Hormozi which makes my reading experience much easier. Pick up the book and the audio book at the same time. Set the reading speed at a lvl you feel comfortable. This helps you to keep focus but also not get lost and you read a little bit faster. Second, you save what you read and heard in different sections of your brain, which makes it easier to remember what you read and lastly, I will try to finish each chapter I started.
I appreciate this video I was never a fan of reading but I love learning, my reading level is under average I feel and I get hung up sometimes. I'm improving and plan on getting a new journal soon.
Hi, thanks for this video 👍🏼♥️ I like trying the ebook first and if I really like the book I’ll get it in paper. I like both formats but love paper 📚 😅
Best channel ive seen in a very long time, I expected 1 million subs at least 💀 BTW, are you coming out with any ebooks or a productivity course, or even a community?
Can you please make a video on how you study Japanese or other language? For me I have time management issues and focus so I have also watched your other productivity videos 🙂
Even though I thought it wasn't for me, the VO2 max testing was still interesting to me. If you still have footage from that it would make a good video.
When I try to listen audiobook it's like music is playing in the background and I dont focus on its lyrics(sentences) how can I overcome this problem. (English ain't my first language although I'm an intermediate speaker and reader)
you can die with zero even building/passing on generational wealth. The book just talks about the idea that you should maximize the utility of your money, give however much inheritance you want while you’re alive, and ultimately enjoy the fruits of your labor
Great video but I can't agree with the point of reading only interesting things. IMO that's the actual problem with today's humans. I know it sounds weird but think about it. All we do in our day is pleasurable. We want our job to be fun, not to produce something worth producing. Just look how many kids today want to be some kind of idiot fashion influencer or showing their ass on instagram for money. In China, kids want to be an engineer. Guess where that difference in youngest generation will lead us. We want to have interesting live, a career, travel etc so we don't have kids for example. We break relationships or even get divorced like crazy instead of put work into fixing and developing. Not to mention the obesity and diabetes epidemic that is 100% related to wanting pleasure without the effort. In the other end of the spectrum we have people like David Goggins for example. I know, he's nuts for many people. I agree, but that's the good kind of nuts. The friction is what make us strong, hard, just like our muscles get stronger by taking on just a little too much, making it hurt and sore and then letting them recover. They get destroyed a little, just like we do when doing difficult, unpleasant things. But think about what events or activities really changed your life in the past? In my case, and I suppose everyone would have it the same, it was something I didn't wanna do but did it anyway, "soldiered through" and it happened to make me much better, stronger etc. The best example is the fear of rejection when you approach a girl of your dreams. Today, 60% of white males are s*xless. Are they ugly, unactractive? Nope. They choose easy way - they launch corn hub and take matter in their hands so to speak. We're killing ourselves with pursuing pleasure without the effort.
because the author was Indian and he makes Hindi language content, I thought that the majority of his audience would be Indian and so you got my point. @@reysu

Helps a lot with staying focused
@@reysu and its also faster, if you are a slow reader
I timed my reading time compared to an audiobook and found that I read approx 3.5x faster

I recently got audible to test out audiobook, wondering if you use audiobook as much as just reading.
Yeah I like listening to audiobooks when I run. I think it depends a lot on the narrator though, I prefer when its read by the author

Try reading the book while reading the audiobook
