It's Oct. 2,2023 and i am already thinking GOOD GRAVY, i I'll be getting ready to decorate for Christmas next month. As much as I love the Autumn, my daughter Autumn will be having her baby at the end of Nov./early Dec. and my goal is to be done prepping for Christmas by then, so I can be available for her. Your videos are always a source of inspiration! Thanks for showing us your "miss" it's comforting and encouraging , cause that's just the way it is, LOL!
Everything looks beautiful! I love the mirror and the reflection. It takes me days, maybe even a week, to decorate and then tweak. Not that I have a whole lot. It is always fun to find things we forgot we had. I make simple window valances out of Christmas fabric for my kitchen window. I’m making a new one this year. It’s more “winter themed” than Christmas specific. This way I can keep it up longer. My grandma was “ the Christmas decorating queen” in my opinion. LOL. She decorated every single room (lots!) including the bathroom. She was poor and her things were mostly dime store things as well as homemade. She didn’t match colors or metals or have themes. But, as a child, to me- it was magical!! Sometimes I come across some Christmas item that looks like what my grandma would have bought, and I buy it. It’s like having her with us.
Love the federal mirror over the small dresser. And I would leave the great oversize basket and just adds greens and pinecones and maybe tie on a velvet ribbon. I love the little frame on the kitchen window between the wreaths, and would definitely keep it up. Its a very cozy charming look. Your house always looks like home. Tour family is blessed.
I love how you decorated your home for holidays. Very simple but makes a huge impact on the space. The wreaths in the kitchen windows with the reindeer garland above makes a beautiful statement there! Just love your channel 🙂
Oh my gosh, Brown Bag Cookie Company cookie press! My uncle used to design for them in the early to mid 1990s. I'm so pleased you found one of the molds. You can also do a paper mache-type thing in those molds, then cut the 4 panes apart and use them as gift tags. They had a packet for that purpose. Thank you for the fun memories! The house looks great! Merry Christmas season
We will be away for three weeks at Christmas visiting our daughter. It doesn’t make sense to put up our tree but it’s going up anyway. It’ll be nice to sit by it in the evenings before we travel. Also, one of my elderly cats adores sleeping under the Christmas tree and I cannot deny her that pleasure. Your home is looking so cozy for Christmas, Hillary! I appreciate how you work your creative process out loud for us; it helps to hear how others work through the challenges.
Classic and Beautiful! I love the feeling of Home that one gets when looking into classic or traditional style homes. I’ve learned that one must have an eye for decor to truly appreciate every piece intentionally placed throughout a classic or traditionally decorated space. It’s absolutely beautiful, Hilary.
I agree. Tartan curtains would be fabulous, as well as any Ralph Lauren winter print. I do realize that curtains are expensive, and the ones that Hillary has are timeless and classic. I love her style!
Today I put up the tree, (pre lit, but needs colored lights, and the ornaments garland etc. ) in a different location in our living room, put red ribbons with small wreaths hanging on my kitchen cupboards, and white decorated wreaths on the top of the inside of the living room windows., and a few other decor items. I'm about 50% done, and am putting up about half of what I did last year. We aren't having a big Christmas party this year, so I'm not going all out. What one puts up, one must take down lol. I would put wreaths on the wall sconces :) Merry Christmas ! 🥰🎅🎄❄☃💗✝🎁🍭🍬
I have really been loving the traditional red for Christmas the past couple years. You have some very beautiful ornaments! The tree in the mirror is so pretty!!
Hilary your living room looks absolutely beautiful, makes me want to grab a good Christmas book and a cup of coffee, and relax in there!! So warm and cozy looking, perfect for the Christmas season!
I love to watch you decorate. Your home is looking beautiful ❤️. You do so much to present your content. Very professional and enjoyable. Merry Christmas to you and your family. You always remember the true reason for the season. Thank you Hillary.
I understand when it comes to having things mixed because of children coming at different times into the family. Currently, I am making our stockings all match. So it takes time. It’s a process. But it’s so nice when everything is complete..
I love it! I wanted to share that I found my 3 drawer dresser like yours for my living room! It was free on market place and it's literally exactly what I envisioned, it even has glass knobs and of course the scallops on the bottom! I don't even know if you'll remember my comment that I wanted one when you vloged adding yours, but I did :)
I love the basket of mums on your table, your curtains match and it just looks so nice. Also, in the kitchen you mentioned taking the picture down between the wreaths but I think it looks really pretty there. Your home is always so charming and cozy looking. Thanks for sharing your day decorating, love your videos!
I saw a utuber who added red ribbon along with pink and it looked great….. I was actually surprised how nice it was.. Last year I did neutral, champagne, a little bronze and I loved it, this year I did burgundy and green with a touch of gold, lots of plaid…. I will alternate each year. Love how your holiday decor looks I adore the Carolers , they are precious 🤶🏻🧑🏻🎄🤶🏻 It isn’t Christmas until I see your holiday ribbons on the canisters ❤️
Amazing look Hillary please make the videos more or even every other day in this season to let us cope with the amazing bright work you do to home and family..So inspiring
Hi Hilary! New subscriber here. I started decorating a few weeks ago and I am still decorating. It should never never be something you must do up all in a day or two. That's no fun. That's a chore! Anyway, so far, I'm liking what you have done! It looks great.
Perfect timing for you to post this because I was just rewatching your old house tours for Christmas to gather some ideas. I'm thinking of going into my backyard to clip pine. Love from Maine! ❤️
It looks so homey! I am sure the kids love it all! I like how you stacked the pics and antlers on the wall behind the tree. I like mixing things up each year too. I bought a string of the candle stick light trio after seeing it on one of your videos years ago, I think I paid closer to $25. I just found a set 2 days ago at the thrift store for $1.99! I like how you are putting them on the mantel. My decorating happens over time as does the clean up! I made those applesauce reindeer years ago after seeing how cute yours looked strung together. Yes. to the plaid curtains in the kitchen. I have always loved the ribbons around the jars-simple but sweet!
Beautiful! You're smart to remove your everyday decor so you'll have a place for your special Christmas items. That looks more natural rather than piling one on top of the other. It's looking a lot like Christmas! Lovely.
Gosh where do I start.....love touches of red, so CLASSIC.....love the mirror!!!!!! Love any and all plaid.....love the floral drapes, so COZY !!!!! your home has such a warm and inviting look, so classic !
Your decorations are looking lovely. I think the reindeer garland and the wreaths in the kitchen look so good. I usually take my time and decorate a little each day. Take care. 🎄❤️🎄
I love the mirror that shows the Christmas Tree! Maybe use the large basket for Little gift boxes to be in with some greens and some red ornaments for the pop of red.
Everything is looking beautiful!! I’ve been taking my time this year too and it’s making ALL the difference, along with a more minimal approach. Plus, we did three of your cookie recipes so far and froze them!!!❤ Thank you for making our holiday so much better!!! It’s the little things that make the big impact…. Like the day I spent baking and freezing with my oldest ❤ timeless memories, a few cookies baked that day, and enough frozen for the season!! Plus, a manageable one or two more types to bake with my younger son!!! Thank you!!!❤🎄🙏🏻 God bless!!!
I put some natural blinds at my kitchen window. Would be pretty with your wood countertops. Thought I could attach a photo but guess not. Your home looks lovely.
In the past, you've put fairy lights or similar in the terrarium with the ornaments. Magical. And your wreaths in the kitchen are perfect! Thumbs down on the pink ribbon! Thumbs up for the red velvet. I've got to have red for Christmas (along with brass, silver, and forest green). For me, the red just makes it Christmas.
I just came to say, you could tea dye your pink ribbon to dull it down a bit, but the red ribbons are beautiful. Your channel is so gentle and sweet to watch. Take care.
Suggestion to label your stockings - use cinnamon dough, like your reindeer ornaments. You could do a rectangle that hangs down and displays the entire name (inexpensive fondant alpha cutters work well for this) or you could carefully cut out just the first letter like you have now, etc. they would be cute, smell amazing and inexpensive.
Hilary, I Love your decorated tree and mantel. Yeah my favorite is the Reindeer garland but I must say there are many favorites. I appreciate Dan's handy work with your mantel and the bookcases. It made all the difference in your living room. QUESTION: Are you doing Vlogmas this year? If not I totally understand. I can't believe Jude is 18 months old. Your wreath silver bells go well with the silver colored kitchen aid mixer especially from a distance. Thanks
🎄Beautiful! I made cinnamon "ornaments" in my brown bag molds. I have so many of them, I wanted to use them in a lasting way. Cookies disappear so quickly!🎄🙋♀️❄
I wonder Hillary have you given any thought to a large mirror? Oval or a arched mirror to fill the wall might be a good choice. Just a thought. Everything looks lovely!
You know from my prior comments I adore your decorating style. Right up my alley. Trends don't affect me at all, really. I maintain a "sea captain's home" look and my colors in the main areas are red, cream and blue. The dining room is very early American but since the grandkids have come along, I switch it up each year from colonial to bright, bright colors and a silver Christmas tree. I'm wondering as far as the ribbon goes if you could tea dye it. I don't know what the content of the ribbon is but I would try it on a small piece, maybe after the concoction has cooled down to see if it's a color that might work. And, of course I thought of Rub n Buff when you mentioned the bells. I LOVE what you did in this video. I could easily live there, lol. God bless and I hope you plan to do Vlogmas because I enjoy seeing you each day. xoxTX
I always love when you start decorating for Christmas and the reindeer garland comes out for the kitchen. The tree is beautiful. If I could offer one piece of advice for your new wreaths in the kitchen window, please invest in a better quality ribbon. A wired ribbon for your scones in the living room would really make those sconces stand out and draw attention to your built-ins. I look forward to seeing the final results, and I always love your mantel when it's done.
Your tree is beautiful. Every year I admire how full it is. I always love the striped ribbon on the jars. I am so impressed with your Christmas planner. So when does the weekly or daily planner come out 😊? Thank you Hilary.

Hillary I agree with you when it comes down to taking your time and decorating, because you could tell when someone gave it a great deal of thought!
Everything looks beautiful for Christmas holidays 🎄❄️

I would swap out your floral drapes for winter. Your decor always looks amazing.
I agree. Tartan curtains would be fabulous, as well as any Ralph Lauren winter print. I do realize that curtains are expensive, and the ones that Hillary has are timeless and classic. I love her style!

I love how you talk through your plans. So fun!😊
I have really been loving the traditional red for Christmas the past couple years.
You have some very beautiful ornaments!
The tree in the mirror is so pretty!!
A house is the most beautiful at night during Christmas. So magical. It’s coming along beautifully Hillary.
Yes nighttime is the best ✨ Thank you! Definitely more to add but this was a good start
Hilary your living room looks absolutely beautiful, makes me want to grab a good Christmas book and a cup of coffee, and relax in there!! So warm and cozy looking, perfect for the Christmas season!
It looks so beautiful and cozy! Love the built ins!!!
I just love watching your videos, they are so calming and peaceful :) thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us !
I love to watch you decorate. Your home is looking beautiful ❤️. You do so much to present your content. Very professional and enjoyable. Merry Christmas to you and your family. You always remember the true reason for the season. Thank you Hillary.
Your home is so incredibly beautiful and cozy!
You have beautiful taste. Thank you for the inspiration. And I like the mirror in that spot.
I understand when it comes to having things mixed because of children coming at different times into the family. Currently, I am making our stockings all match. So it takes time. It’s a process. But it’s so nice when everything is complete..
Everything looks beautiful!🏡🎄💕
Oh I remember how excited you were finding those letters as they were a Pottery Barn dupe, they have lasted a long time...love your dress in thisvlog
The burgundy pillows are so pretty
Your house all decorated for Christmas is so beautiful. Great video as always!
Hello Hillary! Thanks for sharing. Always a pleasure on your channel 😊

Oh that’s so awesome, and for free! Enjoy ✨
Love your classic decor for the holidays!
I love the basket of mums on your table, your curtains match and it just looks so nice. Also, in the kitchen you mentioned taking the picture down between the wreaths but I think it looks really pretty there. Your home is always so charming and cozy looking. Thanks for sharing your day decorating, love your videos!
I’m loving the tower of art and horns behind the tree.
Everything looks so pretty. I really like the brass ornaments with the red ribbons.
We have to shuffle and reorder also to make room for the tree.
I saw a utuber who added red ribbon along with pink and it looked great….. I was actually surprised how nice it was..
Last year I did neutral, champagne, a little bronze and I loved it, this year I did burgundy and green with a touch of gold, lots of plaid…. I will alternate each year.
Love how your holiday decor looks
I adore the Carolers , they are precious 🤶🏻🧑🏻🎄🤶🏻
It isn’t Christmas until I see your holiday ribbons on the canisters ❤️
I love ribbon especially velvet! It's easy to change up from year to year!
always love your decorating ideas!
You always inspire me to get busy. Thank You! I love your channel, meaning you and your family!
You can use your cookie molds to make salt clay dough ornaments if you need more neutral ornaments
Could you try some champagne colored ribbon instead? Where do you put the ornaments that you collect for the kids?
Amazing look Hillary please make the videos more or even every other day in this season to let us cope with the amazing bright work you do to home and family..So inspiring

Love red decorations at Christmas, so warm and cosy.
Very pretty decorating 🎄
Everything is so beautiful! So cozy!!
You have such a touch!!!🎄
Your house is looking so pretty for Christmas! I am a sucker for ribbon especially velvet!!
Perfect timing for you to post this because I was just rewatching your old house tours for Christmas to gather some ideas. I'm thinking of going into my backyard to clip pine. Love from Maine! ❤️
Well you just have to leave those horns at the top of that stack now. That is PERFECT!!! I gasped. haha!
Going with your thoughts on simplicity this year. It created a big statement with the fewer touches yet beautiful.
Everything looks beautiful ❤🎄🎁

Beautiful decorations. Love the idea of the curtains at the window.
So beautiful and welcoming! Love everything you do! Hugs from Missouri 🤗 ❤️
you could spray your letters with a more neutral tone and it would make it flow with your colors
Moving the antler really sets that wall art perfectly. So homey so charming how you're bringing your Christmas home decor vision into reality.
I love watching others decorate for Christmas…inspiration! How do you involve the children with some of the Christmas decorating?
Looking beautiful.
Your decorations are looking lovely. I think the reindeer garland and the wreaths in the kitchen look so good. I usually take my time and decorate a little each day. Take care. 🎄❤️🎄
I love that federal mirror It is neautiful
I love the mirror that shows the Christmas Tree! Maybe use the large basket for Little gift boxes to be in with some greens and some red ornaments for the pop of red.
Cute idea!!

You home looks very lovely and festive for Christmas!
I can't wait to see it done 🥰. I've had mine decorated for awhile now ❤️
I just came to say, you could tea dye your pink ribbon to dull it down a bit, but the red ribbons are beautiful. Your channel is so gentle and sweet to watch. Take care.
Hilary your Christmas decor is beautiful as always!
Really beautiful but I think I like the horse picture better 😊
Love it all!
Hillary, Violet thrifted a Nutcracker, cookie mold for $1. We love it! Your Molds are so pretty!✨🎄
It all looks beautiful!!!
Love how full your tree looks without ornaments
Suggestion to label your stockings - use cinnamon dough, like your reindeer ornaments. Love your Christmas decorationg! I love how layered, cozy and collected everything looks! :)
The federal picture is a nicer option. The horse pictures are less equestrian and more country western.
🎄Beautiful! I made cinnamon "ornaments" in my brown bag molds. I have so many of them, I wanted to use them in a lasting way. Cookies disappear so quickly!🎄🙋♀️❄
Lovely Christmas decorating.

Yes I’ve had my eye out for one for a long time, they’re hard to find 💛
So festive 🌲🎅🏼
I Love It and thank you for sharing!

Maybe the pink ribbon for Valentines Week...
It's so beautiful!!
Maybe you could spray paint the Letters on the stockings and make the match ??
So classic and beautiful!

Your home looks so festive Hilary! Pls could you share the recipe for the reindeer garland it's a show stopper!😁
Your tree is beautiful. Every year I admire how full it is. I always love the striped ribbon on the jars. I am so impressed with your Christmas planner. So when does the weekly or daily planner come out 😊? Thank you Hilary.
Save the pink for Easter. I will say, one could decorate cheaply just with bows.
Looks pretty.
Everything looks very nice
I don't know why I feel sad that you're not doing a more traditional tree. 🥲
The tree’s definitely not done, this was just phase one ☺️ I try to mix things up from year to year, it’s fun
Your Christmas decor is just so timeless and beautiful!! How did you attach your kitchen wreaths to the windows?
I just hung them out the top window and shut the window 😄
So pretty my friend!!!
Beautiful 😊❤️
