If this was 1950’s Russia, “self-deluded” Rishi Sunak would be “purging” his rivals Penny Mordant and Kemi Badenoch from the party, says Giles Coren in response to Johnny Mercer’s leaked memo.

Giles Coren is a huge fan of Kemi Badenoch, of course he is, narcissists tend to stick together. I'm surprised they managed to find room for their egos round the dinner table.

There's not a drop of talent left in the Tories, Badenoch is arrogant and incapable of accepting any kind of correction, Patel seems only capable of pandering to the cruel right in the same way as Braverman.
Mordaunt suffers the same problem Sunak does, she chases poll trends rather than laying out her own ideology and trying to convince people her way is the right way, she's too interested in achieving a position of power rather than establishing a philosophical foundation with the public.
Patel blamed increased in terrorism on the far-right, she blamed grooming gangs on whytes. I'm on the right and never supported Patel one bit.
What is Giles going on about? Kemi would be a total disaster...

Giles has absolutely know knowledge of security. Our Ministers, MPs should not be reading confidential emails in a public situation where Russian / Chinese / American spies can watch. Or where private investigators paid by traders can watch. This is basic operational security people.

Apart from the obvious that the tory mps got their establishment man in charge of the party who the voters did not want, who do they think will vote for them?
Labour will not last long in office, as they will turn on themselves scrabbling for the top job as Starmer is useless too.

taking pictures in a public of members of the public is perfectly legal. If he was concerned about the privacy of his laptop, he should buy himself a privacy screen from Amazon. I'm sure his MP expenses would cover the £10-20 cost.
Who is this individual and what does he do for a living?
A fellow passenger passed on messages from someone else's laptop? That is SO out of order. Violation of primacy at the very least. Even if you think the govt are a bunch of dangerous clowns, show some respect for basic privacy.

If you are going to give the likes of Giles Coren airtime wouldn't it be wise, before you allow him to rant in his bedroom in front pictures about himself to checkout if he has any idea what he is talking about.
Kemi Badenoch is the 35th most popular member of the party. and ranks 92 in a list of recognised politicians and apart from Michael Gove the majority of her colleagues dislike her. Suella Brverman has an approval rating with the eletorate of - 26 and is one of the most hated women in politics.
