I have the trex AC1, two of the chest rigs, orion battle belt, and like 7 of their QLS holsters for my various pistols. I took the AC1 out to a move and shoot event, along with orion, and it all worked, was functional. I did just buy the Agilite K19 and interesting to watch this video showing the AC1 next to another plate carrier, and it LOOKS pretty plain jane and hobo lol. I'll be interested to compare the K19 with the AC1.
I like trex business model of affordable every day gear for the everyday guy. Nothing super fancy or expensive.
Another cool thing about AC1 is that with the plates I was able to fit the whole thing into a gray small backpack, totally discreet.
For comparison, I'm 6'1" 220lbs (ie im fat), and one reason I bought the K19 (arrives Saturday) is that the AC1 felt/looked a bit silly on me I thought. Again, functional, but for a bigger guy its definitely slick.

How do you like the Orion belt? And I can appreciate the plain jane look on the AC1 just because it still blends in with my local terrain better than multicam. I do love multicam because it looks badass.

@@Preptix Two thumbs up from me, although I have no other belt to compare it to. But so far I like it, and have six or seven of their QLS holsters, med kit, cat thing, esstacs, dump pouch. I actually bought two orion belts to gear up my dad haha.

@@BrandonLamb1 nice. That is something I'm looking into. I'll probably buy the whole kitted out one but I'll have to save up for that price tag. I'll do a video on that in the future!

Good review, cant decide between ranger green, or Multicam.

So I chose mine based on what I was going to be using it for. Here in southern oregon we have a lot of deep green forest and multicam would clash with the environment. My advice would be to buy it based on your local terrain, or the terrain where you plan on using it most.

Never buy steel plates they are for target practice not body armor go with hoplite 26148’s level 4 multi curve

@@billiondollardong there’s still no reason to buy steel plates. RMA 1155’s are 300 for a set and only weigh 5.5 pounds and will stop 30-06. If you think steel plates are body armor you clearly are not very smart. Apex armor solutions sells ceramic multi hit body armor. If you want steel armor to protect against 30-06 armor piercing rounds you’d have to have an inch thick plate of steel that weighs 25 pounds per plate.

As much as I like the simple clean cut minimalist look, I cannot see myself paying 200 bucks for something that probably cost 20 bucks to make. I know it’s a business and they gotta make money but still! The value is just not there!
