I love my Scott Apex. Learning, I managed to launch it into my bow hand once, several weeks ago, and into the arrow rest, yesterday. That move damaged the trigger mechanism( no surprise that’s on me!). At the proshop today I tried out the Tru Ball Goat, but still prefer the Scott although it’s $120 cheaper. The trigger is elegantly simple to engage, and the thumb trigger is more adjustable etc.. So I’m ordering another Scott( hopefully Scott will fix my “old” one too, we’ll see😮

Just sold my blade and picked up the apex. With the apex I can set it much heavier to my
Style of shooting and it’s super crisp. I like the open hook vs the closed.

I've been using the Scott Ascent a year now and I have found that I really appreciate the weight that the stainless steel design provides.
I'm not sure I'm sold on the look, but I'd give it a go.

🎯The Apex large compared to the medium size is only 5% difference in over all size - about an 1/8 of an inch. They shoot extremely well...the Apex generates very consistent groups and is very forgiving I'd have to say. One benefit I've determined is you won't be able to generate a flyer with this release if thats even possible. I've always had a problem with one or two flyers in a round with my current release but the Apex has comfortable feel and grip. If your a right hand shooter the open hook loads from the right to the left which is a real benefit for additional feel on the backwall compared too loading from the right to left loading release. I've compared this difference for a couple of hours between several thumb releases. It's worth the money...its a brass nickle plated finish. Lastly I shoot a three finger configuration and the 50% swing adjustment is the best I've ever shot, and the additional supplied four finger is very nice as well.
Hope this comment helps you out 🎯🎯🎯

Have a gander at the Mybo Victory + for a thumb release. Available in 3 different shells, so you can have a brass or alloy casing on it for your preference. Nicely adjustable too.
As always man, great to see your videos and I appreciate your efforts in doing these reviews!

I wish Merlin would make a hinge type release. Im not a fan of the Victory+ ... I prefer the feel of my Carter Ember, or Scot BackSpin hinge

Man, give Australia Post a smack for me. I ordered from you in the U.S. on April 2. I finally filed a complaint with AusPost on May 5 and they found the package (they say). A month and it hasn't even left Australia yet!

Do you think its any better from the US . took 3 months for one of mine and it sat in Florida for most of that.

3 or 4 month wait for stuff to arrive from the USA to the UK, unfortunately is not great but is fairly normal

#3 Hi Steve always good to see you !
This release aid looks like a Chinese Wolf Thumb release aid !
But it looks well made and very solid

It would be the Wolf that is the copy . That is what the Chinese do.

@@jimbob5b200 You missed my point. The Chinese are the ones who copied the Top quality brand Scott and rebranded it a wolf and yeah they do the job..UNTIL they fail

Rather than Archery being the reserve of the rich the Chinese stuff allows me to see what I like before I spend big money . My Wolf works wonderful but my Carter too simple works better !
Plus I dont hear them crying every time I have Cantonese style Sweet n Sour Chicken and Special Fried Rice after my Tai Chi lesson 🤣

Looks ugly, which is a shame as the Backspin is quite elegant.
