Well this isn't from Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes. Teasing of course. I really try to keep up with everything AFI releases, even if it won't be something I'll listen to regularly. While I don't enjoy the direction they went in, I respect that Davey remains an outstanding lyricist and the band has evolved how they have wanted! Nothing more punk than that in my opinion.

There was a huge stylistic shift from STS to Miss Murder as well. Even STS was a huge shift from previous works. For every era of AFI there are those crying sell-out or pandering. There is a reason Davey covered all the old tattoos. Those who dwell in the past are bound to whine about it on RUclips.

Then I found AFI and that became a reality. You don't just write songs you imbue the atmosphere with all the emotions an entire life can contain
This is what I expected to hear after The Missing Man EP. Not disappointed with Bodies at all, it’s a really fun album. But this song in my own opinion is way better than anything on the album.

I don't know if its me... or I might be crazy... but isn't the way Davey Havok (lead singer) tempo to the song reminds you of Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight?" Just a tad little bit?
I can't believe that wasn't on the album. I'd prefer it million times more as an 11th track rather then 'Tied To A Tree' which is not a bad song, but it's just extremally depressing, though it makes a full-circle throwback moment to their horror punk years. They could've still thrown it in between up-tempo tracks (yeah, yeah, I know it didn't make the cut for 'a better album flow'), though 'Caught' has a sense of positivity, light-heartedness and relief to it, which would be such a nice way to close Bodies.
I wasn't expecting a new favourite AFI song at this point in my life, but here we are.

I think the last song to get me like this is The Missing Man. As much as I’ve enjoyed Bodies, I wish they would release more songs of this caliber.
