I have the Lux, the old model without the modular controls, and honestly I love it. It's a beast. Super well made with the sheet metal. I can customize the computer inside as much as I want, and I feel like it'll last pretty much the rest of forever. I think you'll be very happy with yours.
@@thebillyman I just bought a used lux. You are so right about the size & weight. It is a beast! I haven’t set it up yet, I’ll probably install it later this month. As a current owner do you have any tips/suggestions for a new owner? About installation, playing, use, cautions, etc.? Any information is much appreciated.
@@cameronbasquiat4746Congrats! If you plan on playing anything besides old stuff, get a decent graphics card to put in it. Installation, think it through about how high your want to sit or stand and where you want the controls for it to be comfortable. Be diligent about measuring this out before mounting it to be sure. Get yourself a couple of magnetic cup holders.
Always been really interested in the Polycade and have messed about with the AGS a wee bit, I love its integration with Steam so theres no need to rebuy games if you have them there, that was a great idea
Nice, you're getting the Lexus of multicades. Looking forward and hoping it lives up to the hype. I like to know all the options out there and will be looking forward to seeing your videos.
I was following these guys about 15 years ago before the home arcade space was popular (and multicades were the only thing going). I might have bought one then, if they had a more affordable option like this. As it stands, I'm more in favor of dedicated, license-specific cabinets.
@PDubsArcadeLoft Liiking forward to see what ya think about it and what the pros and cons are.. Been thinking about getting g rid of the rest of my arcade cabinets and going with one unit ..Gotta have space for the pinball machines but would like one do it all arcade in the game room
Waiting on my fully loaded Sente to arrive soon. I loaded it up with the Digital Marquee topper, a 4 Way Joystick, Side Magnet art, Trackball and the Stand!!
Looking forward to one. Also ordered black. Expecting it in September. :). Playing around with ags. Wish it could boot directly into a game and also save filters. Other than that I like it. Finding a few button mapping situations but probably my problem. Trying to find top 20 games is difficult. Played total carnage for a while today which is amazing :). Also would be nice to be able to hide games permanently, especially the freebie store bought ones.
Mine should be coming soon! The entire time I was watching your BSS 360 wheel video, I was thinking about how their panels could potentially work with this.
I literally know nothing about owning an arcade or multicade but I always wanted one I went all in on this and got the black one with the digital marquee and a couple decal kits and the retro stool. Hope it easy to understand when I have it in hand or I’m gonna be confused 😂😂
Price is all over depending on what you buy, what optional artwork or marquees , what optional control panels you want, etc. Link in video description for their website
I like options! Technically the closest similar product to this steel constructed arcade is the Unico Nova Blast and that is 1/2 the price of this one but no gaming PC included and that doesn't have a 16:9 monitor, etc. So it's up to the gamers needs
Big fan bro, machine looks nice. If your a multi axe guy, there is only 1 system you will need for life. Arcade-One. I’ve been playing Arcade games, and console games my entire life (I’m 5”), and I can honestly say that Carlos Ortega (owner of Arcade-One & RecRoom Masters) has the best system in the world. Free updates of Teknoparrot, pc games, vpin tables, G29 wheel racers, Sinden lightgun , it’s got everything and anything you’ll ever want or need. What sets it apart is his customer service. It’s plug and play into any home arcade cab. Ask for Carlos, tell him Jay sent you. Your welcome.
PDubs, It's funny that you mentioned nostalgia. Almost every time I see an arcade machine, I get nostalgia, because when I first frequented arcades, machines were all shapes and sizes. The Sente gives me nostalgia in the sense that I'd walk into the arcade and see a new machine for the first time. I think the only picture that kind of concerned me was the one at the beginning showing the two player configuration. I was expecting the modularity to look a little nicer. I don't know if I like that uneven bump in the middle, looks kind of amateurish. Hopefully that was just a quick picture they took and not the final production model. For the higher price I'd want Polycade to take a bit more care in a cleaner look. I don't know how the modules actually work, if you have to wire them in every time you swap them out, but if I were making them, and I proposed this to Glen from Glen's Retro Show a long time ago, I would use easy connection ports to snap them in and out. It works like this. Instead of wiring a control panel in, the controller and the machine would both have connection ports where you could press a button to release one connected and just snap a different one in. Kind of like inserting a cartridge into a classic gaming system. The tech is out there to do this, but will anyone capitalize on it? Looks wise (other than the bump in the middle of the two control panels in that one picture) the Sente looks AMAZING! The main reason I didn't buy one is I don't have any more room, and for any cabinet to come into my house, it's competing with what I already have. Unless it can justify me getting rid of something, then it's a no go. The other reason was it was crowd funded. It's a risk/reward thing. For me, it's how much money am I willing to risk. The Sente was just too much money for the risk for me. Now if they were selling this at that crowd funding price, and it was available then and there, then it might've been a consideration. But I've seen too many people burned by crowd funding. I rarely participate in it myself. I hope it ends up being a great product! vgv
Wow that looks cool! You are the only youtuber i have saw covering this. Hope they give you the white golve treatment....maybe they can send task rabbit. PDubs always complaining about something...vertical record lol

Turn your phone sideways and.....ZOOM IN! 😉 lol no "white glove" treatment here.
What the heck does it need a camera for?
Livestreaming
@@PDubsArcadeLoft That's actually a reasonable thing I reckon.
Just seems weird to me as I don't do that.
I've seen these 10 years ago at a hefty $3-5k now they're still hefty at $2k. I guess you're paying for the minimnalistic IKEA design.
Gotta pay to play anything in 2024
Strange, no reviews. I’m thinking this is nonexistent

Looks sweet but not for me, the stand unit just looks awkward
No worries John! Hope all is well!
C’mon, bring back the livestreams from the Loft! It’s getting boring in Mike Kripke’s basement.
Even with all the making out in Kripke's basement? Lol Multicade Mondays will be back very soon.
High roller
Haha lol I wish
A bit too expensive for my taste
No worries 👍
