Each time I wash mine it end up having curls and I don't want curls on it
I use cantu conditioner on it, do you think is because of that?

Did you want it to be a little fluffy and less defined? The conditioner could be causing it to be more defined, but you can pick it with a comb to make it look more like fluffy 'fro.
