      @@ezrapierce1233 That's a huge problem. I certainly won't buy a laptop with 16 GB of non upgradable RAM in 2024 or ever. That should be 32 GB at least with an option for 64 GB.

    Another point to look at when buying RAM for your laptop is to check whether the SoDIMM module is single rank or dual rank. While it is normally not a widespread issue, some thin and light laptops might not be physically compatible with dual rank RAM modules.

    Some people may not have easy access to an Ethernet port so I would suggest downloading the drivers for the new WiFi card and putting them on a flash drive before performing that upgrade. Also note that Intel WiFi cards whose model names end in "1" so AX201, AX211, will only work on machines with modern Intel CPUs. The AX201, AX210, and others ending in "0" should work on any laptop.

    @berkant_k 10 месяцев назад +2

    Some Intel M.2 wifi cards don't work on non-Intel machines because they use the CNVio2 interface instead of the standard PCIe + USB like most cards, for example the AX201 and AX200 are nearly identical but the AX201 gets its MAC address from the motherboard and the AX200 has its own

      Not a chance. Only the storage can be upgraded. 8GB RAM is too few in 2024 - even 16GB is. You need at least 32GB RAM now in 2024 onwards.

      I don't believe it is something that most people want to watch. They want to know straight away... is the laptop good. So if we were to do unboxing's, we'd probably do it on a different channel that we'd have to launch for that purpose. What do you think about this?

      I mean, some laptops have an external mouse on the box. Meanwhile, some others dont have a charger.

      @@Terabyte75 The only time I've ever seen a laptop not come with a charger was if it was used or open box. Also, external mice just aren't a thing when it comes to laptops. Sometimes a manufacturer will offer one as part of a bundle, but those are very rare.
