As a Dragon Ball Z fan, I feel like I'm allowed to say I find Sabat's voice acting incredibly boring. Don't get me wrong, he's good at his job, but he's oversaturated the market at this point I feel like. Not as much as some others, cuz I remember when JYB was in literally EVERYTHING, but still.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about them picking this over shows like Frieren or Vinland Saga. They've mainly done a lot of shows with heavy subjects and characters, so frankly, I don't mind they're taking a breaking a break from that with something more lore and action-heavy.

The plot of this anime reminds me of "Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest". An Isekai and Harem series based around a weak character who was betrayed by his classmates, who were selfishly transported to another world in service to a human nation against demons and beast-men. It's not one that would recommend it to everyone. But it's one of my earliest Isekai anime that I've seen, and I loved it.

In Solo Leveling, you are stuck at the same rank/power level forever. However, you can get better gear, better fighting technique, etc that can make you stronger despite not increasing your raw strength. However, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS..... you shall learn of later. (Norma Selner + Reawakenings)
great reaction and analysis, what i think is really funny about this anime (and a lot of reactions on it) is that nobody really compares it to games, specially MMORPG, once at max level in a game the only way to improve is by getting better gear and learning your own abilities and Tactics, You can always improve to a certain degree specially when it comes to gear, Even if Jinwoo is considered the weakest, he manages because he learns to dodge and anticipate, if he had the means to actually get some good gear he would likely actually be able to deal with D rank dungeons at least an that is just Individual power, in MMORPG, you Typically would have 5 man squads, and something like 24/30 people for a raid, only increasing the collective power

Solo leveling is just like a normal anime for me. The 1st and 2nd episode is hype and good but the next-next episode is just like other anime. Can you react to "HEAVENLY DELUSION" this Anime is under hype and under rated but the story is like AOT full of mysteries..

Often times the MC(s) will gain an ability and level up those abilities to become stronger but that's not a hard and fast rule for there are many Isekai in which the MC never gets any powers. A reverse isekai is usually named that because the MC starts in a Fantastic world then comes to our own. Or the fantastical elements come to our world.
just a heads up thats not quite what an isekai is. an isikai is someone from our normal world being transported or reincarnated into a fantasy world with magic and they gain overpowered abilities. this is a reverse isikai because it is our world that Jinwoo lives in but fantasy elements have been transported to his world through the gates and now normal people have magic abilities.
