-Our Intro Song "Feel the Love" From Alex's band

Bring back the monthly (or maybe quarterly) recaps. It was always interesting to hear if your opinions changed after a few listens.
Great idea!
Yes I found it interesting when they did the recaps. Would enjoy bringing them back. And I had not seen any other reactors doing that so I commented at the time they should keep doing as it was a feature unique to their channel and set them apart.
I really enjoyed thatbtoo
Yes pweezz!
This is like time travel.
1981 June
I didn’t have a place to live. I just turned 14. I had a three month old baby. That’s right. I had a baby when I was 13.
My sister’s in-laws gave me a place to stay for a while. They were pretty big time drug dealers, but I didn’t know anything different. That’s all I’ve ever been around my whole life.
I was there by myself with my three month old baby was lying on the bed. I was sitting on the floor in front of the stereo, looking at the albums.
Rough times in my life Albums always got me through
There it was. Moving pictures.
I sat there with my three month old baby, his head next to my shoulder
having no idea what I was gonna do.
I put on that album And it took me to another place.
Obviously, when that was finished playing, I went backwards through the catalog.
There are just times in your life when you remember some thing music did for you.
My son is all grown up now And he is musician. Is it a coincidence? I don’t know.
BTW, I did eventually figure out what I needed to do!
And I never looked back.
Music changes lives.
It would be so cool if you told us that your son NOW, came over to visit you and he sat down next to you just like when he was a baby, and you both listened to that same album again, 43 years later. :)
Brava!!
Props to you for keeping your son. You are strong. My wife too had her son at 13 and did the same. So proud of you Good Mom!
I have never told him that story.
We have listened to so many albums. Been to some many shows.
When we take road trips it is full on album time!
@@carolegrafton5748 thank you sometimes I forget to tell myself” good job you! I raised a good citizen and a great daddy”
Peg takes me right back to high school art class. We always had music playing. What a great time in life. The 70’s were the best. ❤
I too was extremely fortunate to be a teenager in the 70’s. No better time for great music!
Carole King’s Tapestry brings me back to high school days
It almost makes me cry that Sara Smile is on your list. I really love this song and it reminds me of my sister so much. We had so much fun together as teenagers in the 1970s. We were truly partners in crime. She passed away about 10 years ago and this song just reminds me of cruising to the beach in her sky blue VW bug.
Music is unique in that certain songs immediately take your mind back to a specific place and time of your life. I don't know if it's when we first heard the song, or if a particular memory just attaches itself to a song.
Sara Smile is my #2 H & O song. My #1 is She's Gone.
I love it too! My aunt (RIP) is named Sara. ❤
Proud to say my late great father-in-law is lead trumpet on I Wish. And theme from Rocky. And New York New York. Thanks for picking it.
Not my favorite 5, but I can see why you chose the ones you did. All from our "OG' generation! We of the older crowd could not be happier that you can now see the value of these songs that we did. Keep the great music alive!
"boogie on reggae woman" is a must
Yaaaaaasssss! ❤
Yes!!!
I’m a 57 year old housewife and I love 2112! I listen to music while I’m doing my thing during the day and Rush is in my daily rotation!
jennyjenny you make me so happy and you don't even know me
housewife?...is that a old timy name for the life mng./chef title that my cajun queen goes by?

Time to hit Songs in the Key of Life
YES!!!
Love this album! Fun to hear Najee doing Songs in the Key of Life ❤
I always have to listen to “Sir Duke” before “I Wish”. Maybe it’s from years of listening to the album, but the two songs just go together in my mind.
Seeing these picks from you young bucks makes this old buck super happy.
Great list. Here’s mine: 1. Reeling in the Years, Steely Dan. 2. Layla, Derek and the Dominos. 3. America, Simon & Garfunkel. 4. Amie, Pure Prairie League. 5. Maggie May, Rod Stewart.
Absofknlutly🎉
Great list.
Amie is amazing
Aime!! Yes...love it!!
Let me know if you like my next 5: Brown Eyed Girl, Van Morrison; The Boxer, Simon & Garfunkel; Rambling Man, Allman Brothers; Signed Sealed Delivered, Stevie Wonder; Your Wildest Dreams, Moody Blues.
The BEST reaction channel out there. These guys know what they're doing...they get music on more than just a surface level.
Their review of Leon Russell’s “A Song for You” shoots a big hole in your comment.
@@RHack1 Let me rephrase...In my opinion, they're the best. Music, like all art is subjective. They've not liked music that I think is great, but I still think they're the best reaction channel out there.
For their ages!
I agree with that it is subjective and you are more than entitled to your opinion. It’s their perceived lack of show-prep that drives me over the edge. Lack of even a cursory Wikipedia search would be beneficial. Numerous times they did not realize they were listening to a “cover” and not the original. Attributing all guitar leads to Neil Young when reviewing CSN/ CSNY. Etc etc etc. I’ve gotten in trouble before by implying they Phone-it-in but……
@@RHack1 Totally fair...in fact, that's what drives me crazy about other reaction channels I've watched. If you know in advance what you're going to be listening to on a given day, I don't think a little pre-listening homework is too much to ask. And I'd agree it's especially necessary for Andy and Alex, since their channel is presented as much more professional than the others.
hall and oates perfect trifecta:
sara smile
rich girl
she's gone
honourable mention: out of touch
Have to have She’s Gone 😊
One on One. Also Kiss on My List
Great list !
Sara Smiles was played so heavily when it came out that in my 8 hour job back then, we probably heard it at least 10 times. 😅 I'm over it. Lol
So glad you chose Peg. One of my favorite songs of all time, and definitely my favorite Steely Dan song.
Stevie Wonder I Wish IS "one of the greatest fucking songs ever", lol. First heard it in junior high and it has stuck with me ever since. I love it so much.
I was 7 or 8.
It's about time you did a video like this. "You Haven't Done Nothin'" is one of his most interesting #1 hits I think you haven't hit yet?
The Al Green pool hall reference was me 😉
We would attend trivia madness at the Copper Rocket Pub in Maitland Florida. After trivia, and a few pictures of yuengling, we would rack up the first game of pool and it was tradition to put love and happiness on the jukebox. We would let the vocal intro play and as soon as the guitar walked down to the drum and organ we would break the first game to start a long night pool, friends, and drinks! 🍻
The one that i prefer from Stevie Wonder is Superstition 😊 So good and groovy and funky
Recently, I've been diggin Master Blaster. It sounds like ol boy was hanging with Bob Marley that weekend.
Or "Another Star..." disco so good you don't even recognize it as disco.
Great show. Thanks!
My kids are only a couple of years younger than y’all, and they are big fans of the old music.
Hey Andy n Alex!! Love your channel. ✌❤
My most listened to song is The Who's My Generation from their Live at Leeds album. An EPIC raw and powerful 15 minute medley that keeps on comin'.
Stevie Wonder song to hit... "Don't you worry about a thing". Such a great fun song! Enjoy
I forgot about that one! Thanks for the reminder!😃
You guys are such big AL Green fans you should Ilisten to AL Green and Lyle Lovett duet on the Willie Nelson song Ain't Funny How Time Slips Away, it is a magical recording. As always I am waiting for a Tom Waits reaction.
"The Piano Has Been Drinking" must not be missed.
@@donwomick3413 I have been trying for years to get them to do Tom Waits song to no avail
Al Green is so much of a GOAT. His life story is an inspiration. Bill Withers is also up there. Love him too
Bill Withers was a legend.
Great list, guys! You can't argue with someone's personal list.
Awesome Top 5 list, and they were ALL '70s tunes! Greatest decade for modern music.
I was going to comment the same as I realized that all were from the 70's - I agree about it being the best decade for music.
Great to get some insight into your daily listening habits. You guys have a great channel, and always appreciate your humour and perspective.
I was waiting for you guys to do "I Wish" for the longest time. :)
I like this approach .. especially young guys listening to music I grew up with and still in my play list .. was in junior high when British Invasion hit ..
Masterblaster!!!, Steveie Wonder
OK, you guys remind me how awesome it was growing up in the 70's. Sure, we didn't see it then, but now, as an old man, I have a real appreciation for how fortunate I was to have all this music playing on the radio or tape deck all the time.
In many cases, the 8-Track tape deck! Or, joining the Columbia Record Club where you got your first ten records for .99 cents. Then as the records came non-stop as you kept forgetting to send back the "refusal" post cards, your parents would sit you down and explain the value of a dollar and financial responsibility.
Totally agree. The 70’s is the decade I’d most love to relive.
AWESOME list. You guys know good music. I just loved the Christmas Livestream when you heard IWish. It was awesome. Your Peg reaction was fantastic too. Solid Five andI loved this episode.
I recall stopping in a parking lot to fully listen to Al Green ( different song) but understand. Also stopped to listen to The Rascals: “It’s a Beautiful Morning “… and it was sitting in my driveway in my new ‘78 Corvette, just Curvin 😎
YAY for Steely Dan #2 "Peg" ❤
dude we need an R&B + soul rock n roll livestream for a few hours. just a bunch of 50's through 70's tunes. definitely MOTOWN as a focus
Ha! I've still got the 1st Trombone sheet music for Peg, from High School Band! We actually played and marched to Peg at RFK stadium for the Cherry Blossom Festuval in Washington DC in 1978. I'm almost 60 hrs old now, and I could still play the Trombone part even without the sheet music. Love that song!
All great picks. Just wondering - and maybe you guys hit these on Patreon - but if you haven't hit Rush's 'Closer to the Heart' and Steely Dan's 'FM', well .... please do in the near future.
what????? NO BOSTON??? I MEAN GREAT LIST BUT . . .REALLY??
Might be going a little too far back in the channel, they probably just don't have it on regular rotation anymore.
💯 I can listen to Boston anytime and anywhere.
I still play them regularly and I was 16 when it came.
Love Boston and all the tracks we’ve hit from them, had it on full rotation for like a year straight back then haha, just now a days I don’t think it falls into a top 5 for “songs we can’t get enough of”
@@andyandalex Makes sense.
So proud of you guys. You're such old souls. Great list.
GOOOOOOOOOD MORNING A&A FAMILY!!!☮️💟♾️
RUSH! Oh Hell Yeah! I knew I loved you guys from the get go!
Y’all’s Spirit of Radio reaction is the best on any channel of any song.
That early Rush, first 8 lp's messed with my brain as a teenage drummer. Greatest era of Rush.
I feel proud of myself as I think I was the one who suggested I Wish on the livestream which is where you first heard it 😉 You guys should work through each of his 1970s albums for Patreon, in release date order 😊
crazy i just watched your I Wish reaction yesterday lol
Very enjoyable. Great choices too.
Hey guys, I truly enjoy your reaction videos, so please keep it going. Based on your top 5 it appears that the mid 1970s is your sweet spot. I was your age in that time period so I can definitely relate. Thanks,
I liked your monthly recaps.
Perfect list 😎
Been on an 80s kick lately, just nostalgia I guess, hard to fathom it was really 40+ years ago. "Rio", "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", and "I Ran" have been on heavy rotation, along with some other favorites.
Loved THE list. Surprised but impressed. Can't believe y'all didn't inc an excerpt from each tune. Just a thought. Cheers Gents 🍻🤘🏼
Great list! I remember as a teen adding the new Steely Dan Aja cassette tape to my car cassette collection. Peg always got a clockwise twist of the volume knob.
Cant stop listening to AEROSMITH, because you never play them!
We’ve hit a bit from them, recently did toys in the attic over on patreon!
80s Aerosmith is ANNOYING AF
Aerosmith Seasons of Wither please. You won't be disappointed
I listen to everything from Ella F, Eydie gormet to John Bautista , TS, katy P with Zeppelin and motown in-between....love y'all channel....
So happy "Peg", the best pop song every written, made your short list!
Here's my 5:
1. Old Man - Neil Young (BBC Live)
2. Sorrow - Pink Floyd (Live)
3. America - Simon & Garfunkel
4. Lady Jay - Wishbone Ash
5. The Loner - Black Sabbath
Have you all gone further into Parliament yet?
The Mothership Connection album is all bangers.
My man !
What can I say...? AWESOME list!!!
Great chat video! Of your recent videos Fox on the Run by Sweet is my new beach or boardwalk song
Solid list!
I absolutely knew Stevie was going to be in your top 5. I love how you love him.
It’s been a while! Andy now looks like he’s straight from the early 70’s! Not a bad thing, I was there! Getting thick and hairy. 😁👍🍻
Even though you re making money with your channel-what you really deserve- you guys are adorable cause seem to be true music lovers (almost nerds what I mean as a huge compliment!!!) and no fake! You are passionate, not interrupting too much always try to feel! Please keep doing what you’re doing! Love from Vienna ❤
5. Spirit of the Radio
4. Love and Happiness
3. She’s Gone
2. FM
1. Sir Duke
Great list!
I can’t not be happy if I hear:
Beginnings by Chicago
Brandy by Looking Glass
Living Colour has a version of Love and Happiness and it is amazing.
You are correct... a great version by my favorite band
Great channel guys. You should listen to 2112 live - different stages version.
Cheap Trick surrender
Like the idea of compiling top five lists. You could do it for songs, artists, and albums.
Rush, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder... nice.
Certainly not the songs for any of them I'd choose, but it's refreshing to see guys 35+ years younger than me listening to these bands at all.
One common thread I see with all these five…the bass! As a bass player, I dig all of these songs’ bass lines, grooves, crazy riffs (I’m looking at you, Geddy), and just overall melodic aural candy. Great list!!
GREaT video!
Peg is the perfect song to start your day. It's been my morning alarm for years.
I like y’all’s reactions, mostly. Been subscribed to y’all for a long time but y’all have WAY DIFFERENT taste in music than I do. And that’s okay.
Wow, songs 4 thru 1 Are all phenomenal songs and would probably be in my top 4 as well maybe in a different order but all there. To me that opening of love and happiness is just phenomenal.
Wait till you hear Stevie Wonder ~ "Living For The City"....!!!
When you mentioned “Peg” was the first time you heard Steely Dan, it made me wonder if you’ve kept a list of the songs that were the first ones you heard of a particular artist. Like was 2112 your first Rush song? I remember your reaction to “Spirit of the Radio” was priceless.
Hey, A&A: So, have you mastered the 3:52 shower?
I remember when Casey Kasem read a letter where a girl said she made her bed to the single Shining Star, and tried to finish before the song was over. So, I suppose she had mastered the 2:50 bed making.
I enjoyed the video a lot! I’ve got about 500 songs downloaded and lately I’ve just been shuffling through them enjoying it all. You should definitely check out One on One by Hall and Oates for another great sexy time song. 😂
I got to see Hall & Oates back it their 80s hey day. So so so good!
Get some of the Philly sound in there too like The Delfonics and The Stylistics.
Peg!!! Had to buy that 45 record in my high school days!
It's funny how different everyone's taste in music is. While I like all those songs except for "Peg" (love the whole Aja album except "Peg") they are not songs I would listen to over and over again. But I do respect your choices.
Fantastic list guys! Love that all of the choices are songs that we really want to hear on the channel and not songs just fill a void. Great job!
"Love and Happiness" is my fave Al Green. When it comes on at work it's always an immense treat.
I'm going to start showering with better music now. ❤ What a great way to go in happy and relaxed. Great work guys.
Gentlemen - all excellent selections!
Anything from Steely Dan, one word GREAT, they not only sing and play great music, but you can't listen to them without it gets you to thinking what they are saying, thanks guys.
My Top A&A including Livestreams
1)Curtis Mayfield -Superfly
2) Tommy Bolin - Homeward Strut
3) Tommy Bolin - Post Toastee
4).Cat Stevens - Peace Train
5) Thin Lizzy - Cowboy Song
Good list guys. I listen to Yes alot and or the best of John and Vangelis if I need to be in a happy mood. Jaimee Paul , Van Morrison Al Stewart are all good listens for me
Back in the late 60's and early 70's, some of these song were on actual reel-to-reel tapes that you would thread into a gigantic 30 pound reel-to-reel tape recorder.
I Wish - such a great track
Great list gents!! I got to admit, you made this Canadian boy plenty happy with 2112! I too never tire of this masterpiece! My drive to work is ~20 minutes - so the length of this song is perfection door to door. Another home to work staple is Pink Floyd - Echoes. Always in the mood for that.
Love all your other selections as well.
My list varies constantly. Recently it's been Ultravox (since the bassist, Chris Cross' passing) - should check them out! (Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, The Voice, Visions In Blue, Hymn...), Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti (because I just saw Jason Bonham's Led Zep Tribute last month),
And very recently, Loreena McKennitt (she just released a new album) - so I've been on a kick! (another one you need to check! She's Celtic/Middle Eastern/World style music) Fantastic artist our of Stratford, Ontario, Canada - been going since the late 80's.
The Mystic's Dream (live at the Alhambra is a quality choice), Caravanserai, Stolen Child, The Mummers' Dance...much to choose from! Cheers from Canada, eh!
"I Wish" is such a funky tune that has a great message, one of my most played Stevie tunes, along with "Sir Duke" both up-lifting tunes.
Since you asked, two tunes I listen to A LOT! Are "Alone Again or" by Love & "Light Flight" by Pentangle, they seem to complement each other too.
The Abbey Road medley to the end of the album is one that I can never hear enough. But I cannot argue with your list. I knew Peg was going to be there. Very glad about that. I need to listen to 2112
Can’t argue with one single pick. Not one! Thanks. Do this more often.
I just dissed you guys recently (deserved) but I'll tip my hat to your top five. Excellent choices.
What a weird comment
I've been watching these guys since the pandemic. They've really grown but I have a diss for them as well, there are certain groups I've suggested several times for them to listen to and never have they done them.
Night Ranger
The Firm

Quarterflash
Triumph
Damn Yankees

Top five, huh… Mine changes continuously. Top shower song is “Limelight” by Rush. Top ham sandwich making song is “Fooled Around And Fell In Love” by Elvin Bishop. Top overall song is “Year Of The Cat”by Al Stewart.
In 1986, the first 3 songs from the Autograph album sign in please were my shower music. Send her to me, Turn up the Radio, and Night teen and non stop.
