Something crazy about this mod is that there are plans to bring the NFS World map fully integrated into the campaign, the only reason it wasn't there at the first version were technical problems during development and it was pulled back until they can be solved. If the issue ever gets solved, the campaign could potentially become even longer

I hope they add a bounty system so cops would be an important part of the campaign, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense imo
@@QuadrupleAndy I hope they finish some of the closed roads so they can finally be driveable. Because the devs never finished the NFS World Map. It was still a WIP even when the game shut down in 2015. SBRW hasn't been able to do anything with it. Idk if thats because of a lack of dev tools or what but it would be nice to see it fully finished.
@DarkNeon27 I doubt that they will edit the map, even if they gonna end up doing nfs world map campaign. The team working on the world was probably understaffed and their map plans went a bit over the scope, imo. They planned canyons and failed to deliver that and then planned whole ass tri-city from undercover lmao.. Hell, they didn't even ended up makng san-juan a part of the map. I'm not really a fan of the World map myself, because I always thought that the canyons should be in-between of Rockport and Palmont and I really doubt someone in the community will do anything map editing wise and it's a big task, since Carbon map is kind of messy. There are some early leftovers that feature only the drivable roads, but I'm not sure how helpful that is. I only have seen map ports, never the edits and I'm not sure if you even can export your models from blender into nfs as a drivable part of geometry..
10:37 thing is, even in the current build that I have, the defending feels somewhat more worthwhile to do since the reward for redoing events isnt as low as it is in the vanilla game.
Bigger lobby sizes than Horizon, The Crew, or Solar Crown, with graphical fidelity that's good enough to pass muster, and a _way_ more engaging game as a result. Modders and indies have been riding the dub train and _pouring_ coal into the furnace and it has been WILD to witness.
EDIT: 16:10 is _merciless,_ but needs to be said. Indie devs understand these games better than the greedy corporations that published them.
Ive been waiting for this moment for decades. I love NFSC, it's my favorite racing game.

I personally always loved nfs carbon, when i was looking for mods last year i found some but i was like, whats the point of adding cars if you're not gonna be able to use them. Hearing that this campaign will be so much longer is EXACTLY what i am looking for when it comes to nfs carbon.

I just got nostalgia trip for vanilla Carbon. I had beaten it, had not enough and sunk my teeth in Most wanted for the first time. I was planing to give a try to Prostreet after Im done, but now I see what I shall actually do thanks to you. Thank you!

What happened to Criterion is a shame. Burnout can go toe to toe with any arcade racer imo.
Nfs 2015 was good, but the fact they got so close to something decent without actually achieving it made it hurt more
Nah, I think the Ghost and Criterion NFS games are better than most of the Black Box games. Out of all of them, I really enjoyed Underground and The Run much more.

As much as I love NFSU2 and MW, Carbon has always been low key my favourite of the open world tuner focused NFS games (I hesitate to streight up crown it my favourite Blackbox game because I also love Pro Street), so to see it be loved and supported by a project like this one is both surpring and welcome. I`m going to give it a try for sure, even if I don`t normally do multiplayer stuff
I loved Carbon, many people I knew didn't, but there was something about it that I just loved. Especially the online drag racing, and the point to point downhill racing. I still have my physical disc stored away and would instantly play this as soon as it is available!
I love nfs carbon more than most wanted. the canyon always gives me a fizz and high adrenaline when I'm racing against the bosses
I have been itching to play NFS Most wanted again lately and mainly because of how much I enjoy the driving physics. Going to just wait for this instead, thank you for posting this. I never knew about it until now.

Carbon is my favorite of the BlackBox NFS. I know some disagree but the vibes, music, and mechanics are basically home to me, with most of my hours spent in that game on OG Xbox.

As far as I know, another improvement that was made is that a lot of faulty code from BB was fixed, and a lot of space wasting garbage code was removed. Making this the definitive version of NFSC.

Has anyonr seen the half-life Gordon Freeman mod for Carbon? 🤣 Literally a game changer lmfao
My biggest issue with this mod that caused me to stall out my career playthrough was just how many drift events there are. I get some people love the NFS Carbon drifting, but having to complete 1-2 drift events per area of map to progress becomes a grind, especially with the increased score requirements for drift.
They're essentially rolling that back for the new release! I mentioned it in the vid, but you'll only have to complete 3 out 5 events per territory meaning you can skip a lot of the drift events if you want.

i ve heard the game forces you to do every race to conquer a territory? i mean i dont have any problem with that but some people say that the drift events are insanely hard....
This was true in older builds but won't be in the full release. You'll only need to do 3/5 events
I've tried mods before that extended the story but it just made the game more repetitive for me. But the online part is what I've been waiting for years. Can you engage in pursuits with your friends in multiplayer? Imagine if they add a mode where you can choose to be the cop and bust your friends similar to Hot pursuit.
There's also the fairly recently launched UG2 on unity which just looks and feels awesome. Incomplete game but well worth a look

Is this not just the battle royal mod (which has been around for years now) with online functionality and some extra bits? I know Rx is/was a dev with CBR team, but this only has Rxs name on it. What's up with that?

If i remmember corectlly, one of the main canyon drift event in the early game was impossible to beat due to insane score that the ai was putting. Is that has been fixed?

Oh I had ps5 controller issues for the nfs u mods . Will this carbon co mod require to figure out getting a pre working game, Prior to modding? Is mod free with donations on? Do I need separate way of controller mapping fixes, as I've never tried carbon on pc.
