Lordy!! I get so angry every time I hear about yet another loophole that allows Europe to CONTINUE importing gas from Russia while looking tough! Sanctions don’t work in the modern day because no country wants itself to suffer ANY negative consequences at all!! What happened to the old ‘ Time to tighten the belts’ motto countries used to be willing to suffer to hurt the offending country. How about sanctions sometime that have NO loopholes and NO cutouts?? Yes, I’m looking at you Germany 🇩🇪!
