Gary Always good to have another skill with fire making. While it seems to have limitations it looks easier than friction fire, so thats a plus. Have a great Fourth and Let Freedom Ring !!! May all your journeys be adventures and your havens safe
LOL, I am still working on friction fire. Getting better each time. This is for sure a bit more forgiving. Happy fourth my friend! Hope you have a great weekend. ATB.
Got one. Have not got it to work yet. I guess I will have to keep on trying. I think they are "For Amusement Purposes Only" Thank you for sharing your fire with us, Gary. Stay safe and stay cool
I had to beat this one into working lol! I agree that it is not at all a survival tool itself as it will never make it into my fire kit, it is a nifty thing to know how to do and could potentially be replicated in an emergency situation with an aluminum tent pole or copper pipe and a stick. ATB bro and have a great weekend!!
Okay, now that is pretty cool...didn't even know something like that was even available...that could be pretty hard on these old hands of mine, so I wonder if one could use a rubber mallet...Always appreciate seeing a fire started without a lighter or matches...very good job! Take great care now and hope you have a wonderful weekend! Bruce and Otis
Thank you Bruce! You can for sure use a force other than your hands, I have seen some even strike the plunger on a rock or the ground. I like staying practiced with other methods mainly because lighters are a bit boring lol. Happy fourth and have a great weekend!
Happy Fatwood Friday Brother 🔥🇺🇸 The fire piston, makes me think of Brother Bill Melton 🔥. I like how you transferred the coal to another piece of char cloth. Love the sound of the birds singing the background. It's good to see you again my friend and wishing you a great weekend.💯🇺🇸

Happy FWF. It looks like a nice, well made kit for 16 bucks. Nice job on your first day of use. Have a good Freedom Weekend, Gary.
It really is pretty good, the quality kind of surprised me actually because of the money. Have a great fourth and an awesome weekend!
