    I have ordered one Bjørn. I placed the order June 9th when they opened up the sales. One with every possible option in red.
    My contract says delivery "more than 6 months", and earliest delivery week 11 2023, which is mid-March, that is 9 months.
    When talking to the Dealer in the days before ordering, they had indications that production would start week 35 (last week of August) after the Czech summer holiday, and they expected a few cars delivered before the end of the year, the factory was considering prioritizing Norway due to the VAT on EV's from next year.
    But when the sales opened, that had instructions from the importer (Møller) that they could not set an earlier delivery than week 11 2023, to me that sounded like a "cover our ass" move, if the cars did not arrive before 2023 and the VAT was applied, we can't complain because with the delivery time we have to pay VAT.
    I hope to get a delivery update in early September.
    The Dealer has said they would get a demo car in week 38, last week of September.

    The ID.5 has better headlights that properly turn round the corner doesn‘t it? I don‘t think it‘s worth the extra money, but I think they‘re better if I recall. The gear shifter is near the steering wheel and I don‘t recall if the start stop button says something about engine on it :p

    9:51 - can't agree, efficiency should be taken into consideration especially in the future, when there will be much more electric cars cruising on roads. The more efficient they will be, the less energy will be needed to power them all.

    • @Lubben
      @Lubben 2 года назад +1

      They're already much more efficient than internal combustion engine cars. Electric cars are far more energy efficient (85-90% efficient) than internal combustion engine cars (17-21%), which means that they use less energy to get you from A to B. Efficiency is high priority right now because the current battery technology isn't good enough so you want to squeeze every extra km/miles out of it.

    • @kamilk
      @kamilk 2 года назад +3

      @@Lubben Yes, it should be regarded as high priority now but much more in the future. Keep in mind that what's to come will be a challenge for electric power grids and power plants in many countries due to growing number of electric cars. So the more efficient EVs become the less frequently they will need to be charged therefore less stress for the grid.

  • @Mues_Lee
    @Mues_Lee 2 года назад +7

    The biggest downsize for me (beside long waiting time): those new extra packages. Before you could add single extras, like side airbag in the rear. If you want them now, you have to add extra package for 9750 € which includes DCC suspension and crystal face, which I really don't need and want. I think this is a waste of resources, adds extra weight and extra parts which can brake. Same for example for ioniq 5. I don't know why manufacturers do this.
    I'm driving Skoda since nearly 20 years now, and was always satisifed with the cars they produce, never had any serious problems. And the enyaq is a really really good EV. If we hadn't corona with all the lockdowns and missing parts now, I'm sure this car would sell like geschnitten Brot :D I would rate this car 10/10 bananas!

    • @michalvaner3167
      @michalvaner3167 2 года назад +5

      I guess the packages have two reasons.
      First, you sometimes push the customer to buy more stuff than they would otherwise (because the package contains more stuff), therefore charging them more. So yes, it is extra weight, it's extra parts and it's also extra money for the manufacturer.
      Second, by limiting the amount of different variants the manufacturer makes their life easier, cutting down costs. Running a big factory is a mess already, tracking what customer wanted what, optimizing which variants to make first depending on how much money they get from it, how many parts are missing for it, etc.

    • @martins6590
      @martins6590 2 года назад +1

      Valid point. If I did want at least the same spec as my 80x before the packages arrived I'd have to pay 9-10k more now... Travel Assist was a must as was DCC & HUD for me (so would be MAXX package now), but I don't need electric seats, heated rear seats and actively don't want the lousy Canton Soundsystem which makes it harder to retrofit something serious.

    I've opted for the fat Enyaq 80x Sportline I ordered last year and got 2 weeks ago, because I want and need the extra trunk space. Also the vRS Coupé is the only version you can currently order (was not even orderable last year July) and has a quite hefty price premium for just 35 boost hp more.
    But I concur it's a fantastic car, especially now with the ME3.0 Software.

    Regarding the rapidgate, have you tried to charget it with a 100 or 120 Kw charger?
    Maybe the total will gett better/faster if the coolingsystem is a littlebit to small for the charging speed.
    I think VAG MEB platform was originally design for a maximum of 120 Kw and when they open it for higher i don`t think they uppgraded the battery coolingsystem.
    Maybe you can try to charge the car with a 100/120 KW charger and se what will happens?

    Speed Bumps, the reason why everyone buys SUVs and not smaller cars now. Speed bumps, a great invention for drastically increasing brake dust and emissions in built up areas. Almost as good an idea as ‘give and take’ traffic management to slow traffic speeds, which has the totally opposite effect as people accelerate and hammer it past the obstruction before they are forced to give way to oncoming traffic.

    I have a Skoda Superb (at least for a few days until my MYP should be delivered in a few weeks), but the difference between the Superb and the Pasat should be the same as between the Enyaq and the ID5. With my car I can only see that the reverse camera for the Passat is better (plus it is covered when not in use). Everything else seems to be equal or better in the Skoda (like you mentioned with the umbrellas in the door, the velcro boot spacers and a few other small improvements such as a removable torch in the boot wall).
    The Enyaq was a close second contender to the MYP when deciding. In the end I decided for the Tesla because it would be delivered this year, can drive faster than 160 KMH (or 180 if you choose the IDX/VRS version) if you want to, has a better acceleration while also being (slightly) more efficient overall and you have MUCH more space for lugage/cargo (and apparently empty bannana boxes). Plus as an added bonus you are not forced to pay for regular VW/Skoda Services.
    What is better in the MEB Platform is that you have a cockpit display (even if it is tiny), have the option of a HUD and it is slightly cheaper (however the IDX/VRS versions are not that much cheaper to be honest). Plus the buttons for important or often used functions is much more intuitive and safer to use while driving, not to speak about manually adjustable air vents as opposed to the software controlled vents in the Model 3/Y which is more of a gimick than actually usefull or safe (you need to open the menu on the screen, select the correct setting, fiddle about with the ventilation aim, all with no haptic feedback, as opposed to feeling for the vent knob and moving it in the direction you want).

    I'd get the fat enyaq. Because i get that one for about 8k€ less in the configuration that i want, compared to the coupe. And i can drive a lot for those 8k.

    Never the less i agree with ABC for most people: always buy coupe

    • @Lubben
      @Lubben 2 года назад +1

      For me the fat enyaq were only 4-5k€ cheaper than the coupé. I already prefered the Coupé, but the dealer told me I should pick the Coupé version. He suggested that I should go for the coupe is because the wait time was significantly shorter for the coupé than the fat enyaq

    After drivning enyaq för almost 1year now I gotta say i love the car, but there are issues.. The backup camera is located between the bright lights to the licenceplate and it reflects so much light that you can barely se anything on the screen. it gets all blacked out when dark outside. It wasnt like this on my previous passat.
    after you leave the seat and step outside the car shuts down automatically and start some diagnosis of the car. if you sit back in the car before its completed it can start giving you 12v battery errors that you nees to go to the servicecenter to fix. it happends when you have kids and gotta jump in and out alot of the car since it does it automatic.
    My latest error is that the ambient lighting is not working from time to time and I've got a airbag error directly when starting up the car.
    Other than that, great car for a decent price if you dont att all the extras..

    Personally I think the ID5 is the better interior. It's clean, clear and comfortable. The door rests and door handles are just odd in the Enyaq and it never felt right to me. Some people complain about the haptic touch buttons in the ID5. Practicality wise I think it's brilliant as you have clean surfaces and none of this switchgear that gets grubby overtime. Let's face it, we are all used to touch screens anyway so touch buttons are not so hard to get on with. The thing most impressive with the ID5 is it just feels right for people coming over to EV's for the first time. It's not an overwhelming in your face car. I checked out the Q4 E Tron, the Skoda IV coupe and the ID5. I felt instantly at home with the ID5 and it all just felt right. Finally a lot of reviewers mark the ID5 down for pricing. I get that it is close to the E Tron. However, equally that's a lot of money for a Skoda. As far as Skoda have come, the brand cannot command that price as it is simply not at that desirability marque level. There is no way I would pay that for the Skoda Enyaq Coupe. At this level I would say go E Tron or the ID5.

    If you want to do something more than just switch a radio station or control AC, just briefly park on the side and do it there safely...
    And as such I think it's a good thing, if common sense does not work, you need to find other ways. Android Auto has the same functionality btw.
