Random tip from a former dancer and now Physical Therapist. Possibly think about bringing each of the tips of your shoulder blades in an X to the opposite hip that can help people. People tend to pinch their shoulder blades together but keep their shoulders lifted, so instead think of crosses them to the opposite hip. Maybe it will help someone, maybe it won't, but its a visual that's helped a few of my pts! Love you katie.

That could be a thought for your book too, some flight attendants publish their inflight stories and mishaps, and they're hilarious!! But if you're already doing it in video, you'll want to do something different with your book. You can self-publish these days, Amazon has a department that deals with self-publishing, and there are other companies around. What I'd suggest is, structure your book around all the tips and suggestions you have for dancers, from technique to health and lifestyle, and include your own experiences where they're relevant. I can relate, I did disaster outreach and health services for 2 weeks in Houston, 3 weeks in Puerto Rico, and 11 days in Northern California, all back to back, and I would've died of happiness if I'd had someone keeping the household running! Jeaaalous! Also....yes to book, YES YES YES to more about SAB!!!!, and I'd love to see a comparison of classical/Vaganova/European ballet and Balanchine/NYCB styles because it's hard to see the specific differences otherwise!

I was not talented enough to dance professionally, but I pursued ice skating. I had the opportunity to go to Peru and Bolivia during a summer in college. The pay wasn't great, but enough. In between cities, we went to see the sights - Machu Pichu, the Amazon... While in each city, time was devoted to skating, not much partying. The memories are with me to this day. It is so worth it!
Regarding the hurricane, I kept thinking Katie is newly married, in a new area, and in charge of 2 dogs and the new home DOING IT ALONE. As amazing as your parents have always been, I'm sure a part of u just wanted to run to Mobile and relax w/o responsibilities. As always Dame K- so admire your strength even during a scary natural disaster ❤️
