Thanks Pastor Andy. I've been telling my grandaughters about the Rapture. The six-year-old won't let us finish our goodnight prayer time without reminding me to say "Maranatha." The nine-year-old will look at me at random times during the day, smile, and say, "Maranatha, maranatha, maranatha"!! From the mouths of babes. Maranatha!

Mat. 25 doesn't have the Church in mind. It is referring to the Jewish remnant during the Tribulation.

@@EnDefensadelaFe during the great tribulation, there will not even be time for getting a group of believers "asleep" to have a need to wake them up in the first place just from logic. This parable pertains and has always pertained to the church and Christianity as a whole (mixed with professing but unsaved people). The whole imagery including the "bride" is depicting church age. *2 Corinthians 11:2* Israel is the divorced wife of God (the Father) that will be remarried but she is not the "virgin bride" of Jesus Christ.

@Karen Templin Clearly, you did not come to learn or edify the brethren. You obviously did not examine the scriptures presented by Dr. Woods. You have no power in suppressing this important teaching. You are an adversary to the hopeful. Belief in Jesus eminent return is our great hope and joy. It causes us to purify our souls and share the Gospel of Christ with others. The suppression of Rapture doctrine is what there is a resurgence of. We will proclaim the coming of the Lord no matter how many of you join forces together with your cut and paste assaults. Repent and turn to Jesus.

Are you not even in the presence of our LORD JESUS CHRIST at his coming? No one is going to take my hope not even you , I was presented the truth in THESSALONIANS and I accepted it that all I needed , JESUS doesn’t make it hard , you either accept his truth or you don’t ,,believers will be coming back with JESUS,I don’t understand how people can’t see this 😳🙄

It can only be that their theology is lining up with their ambitions and desires- to stay here as long as possible, building their own little kingdom and not having to face the Lord for un-confessed sin. Along with the soon coming rapture. I believe Paul was motivated most by the love of God and care and concern for us the church (~ like you Pastor/Brother Andy!). The Lord Jesus has forgiven us and him so much! Paul experienced this comfort of God's love through so many trials. Knowing, believing, experiencing the presence of the Lord, Paul walked in faith as he wrote "that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us." (Romans 8:18)

GOD bless you brother ... I mean that from the heart . I was in the Church of Christ for a long time but because of reading my Bible , ALL the Bible , I learned things they didn't want to discuss . Preacher decided to do a study on Romans. I got very excited until we were nearing chapter 11 & the study ended . Oh well. Not one word about the JEWS & how the Bible says "ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED" For around twenty -five years , I have been a helper to a couple of messianic ministries. I put an advertisement for one of the ministries on the bulletin board... it was gone overnight. No , they don't believe in Romans 1:16 ..." to the JEW first , & also to the Greek ." They don't wanna help JEWS, I guess. I was so in love with the brethren there, it took me about 6 months to finally decide to leave . They also said that when the LORD said , " It is finished ," that meant that all the prophecies in the Old Testament were done away with. I just couldn't stand it any longer . I knew my preacher wasn't lying to me , he was just repeating what he learned in college.

I LOVE how you teach about the Pre-trib Rapture Dr Woods! Such a great blessing to those who believe in the promises of Lord Jesus! From what I've read about the arguments of those against pre-trib, I understand that the post-trib ones at least believe that yes, Jesus will rapture the church afterwards but He will bring them back straight down to the earth again when He comes to separate the wheat from the tares. So the Rapture and the Second Coming are in effect intertwined events. And I've wondered why it is that there should be a Rapture at all in that case, when the Church will be coming back pretty much straight away anyway, not sure if they believe that the wedding feast will only happen in a space of a few moments or if the wedding feast will happen just before the Bema judgement? These people are also convinced that the church must go through intense suffering and hardship as they believe that the church should willingly be martyrs for the Lord. They believe that those who believe in pre-trib are not willing to suffer for their faith in God, whereas they are, which means theirs is the true, righteous faith. I'm thankful to Dr Woods for teaching me in one of his sermons that faith means trusting in God's salvation and not in my own efforts, not even my own faith in God, but in God Himself to do everything for me, as He promises in holy scripture. This is how I come to know that pre-trib means complete faith and trust in God's Word!
I recently saw the film "Before The Wrath" which I think explains the reason for the pre-trib rapture so beautifully too. God bless!

Those anti pretrib people sure go to a lot of trouble to be miserable. Maybe they’re overly grumpy and want everyone else to be miserable with them because the verse where Jesus tells us to “comfort one another with these words” leaves the non-pretrib folks just out out of any ability to take comfort from that and/or to comfort one another with Jesus’s words. They’re looking to drag people down kicking and screaming so there’ll be a big crowd around them, I suppose. What a sad lot they are.

@@joelthompson7064 I was pre-trib myself but have sort of "modified" my view from the fact that Revelation 12:1 the first "great sign in heaven" has been fulfilled in September 2017 already. So looking on the current PACE of events evolving at breakneck speed I meanwhile CANNOT imagine this velocity proceeding another full 7 years without extinguishing all humanity BEFORE Jesus even can come back again to save us or ANYONE else from utter genocide. As Matthew 24:22 is still true, so we must have got our timeline corrected from here. We're still going to be saved BEFORE the SHTF eventually but I do reckon with a kind of last minute Bruce Willis rescue under heavy fire in the midst of evolving chaos (already having begun NOW with this current Corona hoax! = Matth25:6 global midnight cry to wake up people!) instead of some smooth ascending in a sweet church pew environment, being able to gently wave goodbye smiling. Now if considering Daniel 12 and Revelation speaking of a 3,5yr world tyranny altogether ONLY I suppose we're already in the first half of the 70th week today which would make me believe in "pre-wrath" by definition. Yet I do still believe the church will be removed BEFORE the Rev6 seal judgements can be opened (modified version). Revelation 12:5 'harpazo' (rapture) is to be expected VERY soon now as we're hanging around in verses 2-4 somewhere since 2017. Hope that helps? MARANATHA, blessings your way! 🙏💗

Though trust more of a response, born of belief, which is a passive/receptive mode of being, trust is understood more often by my peers.
Trust is a result of believing, and is an active evidence of one's belief in Christ. Since a person cannot trust He can do what He promise to do, unless one believes He is everything He claimed and proved to be.

The only problem I have with the doctrine of imminence is that out of the 2000 years or so of the church age, it only really has relevance to the last 70 to 80 years which is the final generation before the rapture, and even then, there will be many who will pass away even during that final generation.
Really, the imminence of the rapture is not as strong a motivation for evangelism as the imminence of death, which has become a certainty for billions of people during the church age. And even that motivation pales compared to the motivation of love for the lost who are perishing if they do not accept Christ before death or rapture, whichever comes first.
But I do believe the rapture is near, and the possibility of being one of that select generation who are alive and remain has always been a great motivator for me to maintain my own faith in Jesus who is the author and perfecter of my faith, the One who I will finally meet in person on Rapture Day. That is indeed a great motivation.

Was the rapture imminent during the life of Paul? - No it wasn’t. There were prophetic events that had to take place before the rapture could occur. In John 21:18-19 Jesus prophesied that Peter would grow old and would die a martyr’s death. If the rapture had occurred during Peter’s lifetime and he immediately received his glorified body then Jesus’ prophecy wouldn’t have come true. That would make Christ a false prophet. In Luke 21:20-24 Jesus prophesied the desolation of Jerusalem and the diaspora of the Jews into all the nations. If the rapture of the church occurred in the first century and the millennial kingdom was set up shortly afterwards then Jesus’ prophecy couldn’t have happened, and once again that would make Him a false prophet. But since Christ is a true prophet we know these prophesied events had to take place. So it was impossible for the rapture to take place until they were fulfilled. That rules out a rapture during the first century.

A seductively dangerous mixture of scriptural truth, scriptural misinterpretation, fleshly argumentation, and scriptural ignorance. If you love the Truth, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, don't be deceived. Be Berean and examine the Scriptures whether what you a hearing and reading is true. Since God's Word is true, it can never contradict itself and still be true. Therefore, only one scriptural contradiction is sufficient for a believer to reject any false teaching:
    1) 2Th 2:1-3 contradicts any imminent "parousia" (coming) of the Lord Jesus Christ. It also contradicts our "episunagoge" (being-fully/completely-gathered-together) upon Him before the "Man of Sin" is revealed.
    2) The context (1Th 4:13-15), preceding the "comfort" mentioned in 1Th 4:18 reveals Paul's reassurance that their departed loved ones were only sleeping in the Lord and would be coming with Him when He descends with a trumpet of God. Moreover, they will be resurrected first, so that they will not miss the harpadzo-Rapture-episunago (complete-gathering) of the elect (Mt 24:31).
    3) The interpretation that the "we" in 1Th 4:15 means that Paul expected to be alive until the Rapture is contradicted by the Holy Spirit expressly informing us that Paul was ready to die in Jerusalem (Act21:13). Furthermore, Paul was fully aware and unregretful, of his approaching death (2Tim 4:6). Since God's Word is God-breathed, and neither the Father, Son nor Holy Spirit is capable of error, "We" cannot possibly mean what Andy claims it means in 1Th 4:15. Such interpretations are made outside the broader context of Holy Scripture, by which careless theology results in careless and faulty eschatology.
    4) The teaching that there are two "second comings", one "for the Church'", and a subsequent one "with the Church", is grammatically rejected by the Greek text, unless you postulate that the parousia-coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for our resurrection/episunago/harpadzo-rapture (1Th 4:15; 2Th 2:1) is distinct from the "parousia-coming of the Son of Man" (Mt 24:27,37,39), after the Great Tribulation, for the episunago-gathering of the elect from the four winds and extremities of heaven" (Mt 24:29-31).
An imminent pre-tribulation resurrection rapture is a fleshly hoax that is contradicted by 25 scriptures, a few of which have been listed above. It will leave you unprepared for His Return.

@@sigalsmadar4547 Thank you for your challenging response. Perhaps my wording was careless. I certainly did not intend to conflate a verb like, “Harpadzo” with a noun like, “Episunaigoge”. That would be nonsensical, and demonstrate ignorance. “Harpadzo”, a verb, means, “to snatch up/away. ”Episunigoge” a noun, is comprised of a root “sunagoge” (assembly/collection/leading/gathering-together), with an intensifying, modifying prefix, “epi”, thereby meaning “a complete assembly/gathering-together/collection/assembly” of some contextually defined set of people. God’s use of the term, ”Episunigoge” in 2Th 2:1 is contextually referring to two events, which the Thessalonians were fearing they had missed: the “Anastasia” (resurrection) of their dead loved ones and their subsequent “Harpadzo” (snatching) to a meeting with Jesus in the air (1Th 4:16-17). God often uses scriptural co-texts like this, to define a richer/fuller/more-detailed meaning of a word, or event to which He is referring. Jn 14:3 is an example, wherein, He uses the verb, “paralambano” (take-close-beside) instead of the verb, “harpadzo” (snatch), in order to more fully describe the rapture-process. This same (identical) synonym substitution is repeated in four other descriptions of the rapture (Mt 24:40-41; Lk 17:34-35).
Regarding Mt 24:31, the adjective “eklektous” (literally, called-out-from, hence, selected/chosen/elect) is linked with the the verb, "episunago”. The context (about and spoken to believers) defines which chosen people God will be completely gather-together from the four winds and the extremities of Heaven. Making faulty assumptions or unwarranted and unnecessary postulates, like Andy does, only causes confusion and misinformation, and conflicts with other scriptures, which promise our resurrection at the “Last Trumpet” (1Cor 15:52) within the “Last Day” (Jn 6:39,40,44,54), followed by our rapture (1Th 4:15-17), immediately before “The End” (1Cor 15:23-24).
Read your Bible. Don’t be deceived by emotionally seductive myths, or persuasive, highly-educated false-teachers, who should know better.

Pretribbers avoid providing a verse in scripture for the following 3 beliefs ..... 1. Jesus' return is imminent , can happen any second. 2. The church will ot go through tribulation. 3. The rapture happens before the tribulation. *_There is no such verse for any one of the preceding three beliefs in scripture......_*

There is no such thing a 7 year tribulation in the Bible.... Daniel, Jesus, and John all say the tribulation lasts 3 1/2 years. This is an explicit teaching hroughout the Bible.... Read *_Matt 24.15_* Jesus says the Tribulation starts at the Abomination of Desolation as spoken of by Daniel the prophet in _Daniel 9.27 and 12.11_* (whoso readeth, let him understand) .......the Abomination of Desolation is 3 1/2 year or midway thru the last week of Daniel's prophecy...... hen read *_Rev 12.6 1,260 days is 3 1/2 years and Rev 13.5 42 months equals 3 1/2 years...._*

I do agree with THAT statement of yours. As Revelation 12:1 the first "great sign in heaven" has been fulfilled in September 2017 already and the second one the "Red Dragon system" is on the way I suppose the 7yr countdown has already started back then (as there is no reason with God not to be correct in counting His missing Sabbath years from Israel). Nevertheless, I do believe in the "pre-everything" rapture view anyway so this makes no difference for me. Waiting for Revelation 12:5 'harpazo' (rapture verse) now. We're flying soon and VERY soon, Maranatha! 🙏

One verse teaching the Trinity.... *_Matt 28.19_* Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them *in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit* ..... *_Thus saith the Lord!!!!_* In case you missed it, this verse of Jesus himself speaking, says _'in the name'_ 'singular' one name 'Father Son, and Holy Spirit' ....... There are no verses that claim the Church is raptured before the Tribulation......
