I don't know how I missed this video, Lee, but more brilliant ideas! I can't find the right kind of frames over here in our dollar stores but I have not given up and will keep looking. Can't wait to finally try them. Thanks again for sharing with us all.
Bless thank you ever so much my kind friend i really appreciate your kindness and support. I will be doing a video on number 4 very soon Stay safe and happy snapping 📸
Great idea with the picture frames and I will have a go at this, still trying to figure out how the last portion of the video was done, brilliant. Great work I’m happy I chose to follow you
As always easy, interesting and fun. The settings bigger and visible (thank you) and something that you have that do not sell in the stores... HUGE PATIENCE
Lee you are absolutely on fire with this channel, keep up the good work. So much fun, informative & cheap cheerful concepts and ideas. Absolutely love the one you posted on Instagram :-) Happy Birthday from down under! Thank you my good friend.
Alka seltzer :) great video Lee, love the frame idea, definitely going to make one, iv got a little 1ft tank, but it's still a pain to empty, yr way will be so much easier.
Lee, sometimes I see photographers using max flash sync, then I see others, like yourself, who may or may not use max flash sync. So the question is, when using flash, what determines which speed to set it for - is it strictly to satisfy the exposure triangle for a "correct exposure" or what? And this - how does one determine the power value of the flash for a particular setup? Bushels of thanks!
Good day my friend thank you for taking the time to send me a message. There is a couple of reasons I use a flash with macro photography. If I am taking pictures of insects or moving subjects I use a flash for the sole purpose of freezing the subject and to take the dark shadows out so the picture is more sharp. The power of the flash for this method is usually around 1/32 because I don't want lose the national colours of the background.. With my indoor water droplet shots it really is all about bouncing the light off the background to cast the colours into the milky water. So it really is about the exposure triangle more and it really is a fantastic way to learn about the triangle. But to be fair and truthful it really is all about freezing your subjects like I said and a good rule to use is to start off at 1/64 power on your flash and work from there. Also there is no rule to say you have to say you have to set your camera to the flash sync. I ofter set .y came at 1/80 of a second at f8 and iso 400. And just put my flash on 1/64. Because I am only using the flash as a filling light to remove the shadows. I hope this helps you out and once again thank you for taking the time to send me a message Happy snapping Lee
The video at the end… did you use something effervescent like Alka Seltzer to create the fizz? Was it colored? If so, how did you color it? Thanks for the video. The mini tank idea is brilliant, small, inexpensive and so useful!
Hello Lizzette I did use a Alka-Seltzer you was spot on I used food colouring to get the colours just a few drops in the bottom of the tank is all you need 😉📸🙏
Hi Lee,that was really brillient enjoyed watching and i am sure i am gonna enjoy shooting. You are really the coolest guy i have ever come across. You make things look real simple and that inspires me most, THANKS A LOT and as always waiting for next surprise. What a coincidence, I just was browsing RUclips for paint/ink in water photography, and suddenly your video pops up. What a brilliant idea to use it with oil. Can you also do a milk/paint/oil macro video one day? Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands
😭Tesco not longer seem to sell your backgrounds! Was watching you video with water spray and dandelion clock. Don’t have a 100 ml lens or the same lighting as you in my room. How do I work out the best settings for me?
Lee Hall I have a 50mm fixed lens, a 18-55 kit lens and a 50-200mm. All Fuji. I do have extension tubes. I can use one but when I put them both on, it doesn’t seem to work??
@@lynnscholes1617 right try these settings and let me know how you get on. Just use your 50mm lens and extension tubes Iso 200 F8 1/50 stutter spead. Then try getting a table lamp over the top of the dandelion clock please let me know how you get on
definitely a must try!! the ending w/water /oil moving about w/music was very tranquil 🧘🏻♀️😊 images were beautiful too 😍

@@LeeHallphotography Awesome, thanks!
@@usernamemykel you are most welcome just please don’t let flash photography get to complicated. Keep it simple
What is your backdrop made of? It appears solid but at least some of the flash light must penetrate it.
