  • There has been some talk amongst New York Rangers saying they should possibly trade away one of the core stars on the team. Personally I don't see it happening but in this video I breakdown the idea of whether they should or should not move one of the core star players on this team.

      Otthman still has a long way to go. He wasn’t even the best player on the Wolfpack this year. Not saying he’s a bad player, however not the type of player you build around that’s for sure as far pearult goes he has done great in the ncaa on a stacked team. Definitely a long way to go before he will see the top two lines on this organization. If the team is to get serious. Chances are one or two of those guys on that list are not gonna be on the team much longer. The GM of the ny Rangers doesn’t keep his job very long building for 5+ years out.

    Resign Schneider bridge deal 2.5mil
    Release Lingdren, sign Zadorov to replace but move Miller into top slot with Fox so he has to focus on stay home defense while Fox drives play
    Sign Toffoli or Bertuzzi for 3rd line RW
    Trade Kakko, 1st round pick for Marchenko to play RW 1
    Trade deadline trade Chytil and eat 25% to get a star on a team that didn’t show up and puts us over the hump

    I'd say there is no shot the Rangers trade one of their superstars. Most of their stars didn't show up during the playoffs, so the only superstars that would draw interest would be Bread and Igor. Igor would be traded over bread atm. Rangers need some new blood on defense. Rangers defense is a major weakness, the Panthers series proved that. They couldn't even get out of their own zone and allowed too many odd man rushes against them. Rangers have too many offensive mind, defensemen and don't have enough defensive minded players. Lindgren and Schneider are really the only defensive minded players on Defense. The Miller experiment hasn't been paying off, he's still to offensive minded and his defensive game hasn't improved as much as I was hoping for over the past few years.

    Bro even if it’s unlikely the thing you’re pretty much saying is running it back which we can’t do, we are miles away from winning with this group we can’t get anything going when we play against bigger, stronger, faster players who can succeed at 5v5. I think Goodrow and Trouba should be out but that isn’t a big enough change. Supplementing the core is not enough bc the core doesn’t show up and it’s not a lack of effort they are just not capable. Drury said he’s keeping everything on the table and that’s smart the end goal is a cup and getting these guys out of NYC is the first step. Kreider I wouldn’t mind keeping, but Panarin and Mika are goners. I’d want Beniers or Columbus’ 4th overall pick this year to get Cayden Lindstrom both have a lot of upside to be superstar 1Cs of the future. Panarin we could get a big package from Chicago if he’s willing to back where he started, maybe even to Columbus, Montreal?

    Panarin should go, he has shown that he totally disappears in the playoffs like many of these European players do (there are exceptions). People are talking about Trouba's locker room leadership but when you play that bad it's hard to exert leadership so ship him out and let Zac Jones play. I would like to see what Mika and Kreider can produce with a legit right wing (Guentzel ???) before they attempt to ship Mika out. As for Kreider I would love to see him finish his career as Ranger just because of the loyalty factor. Package Panarin and Kakko for another star type player (Marner??). The core is young so now is the time to make the push to get over the hump!!!

      Trouba would need to be traded this offseason, otherwise he'll be a Rangers until his contract is up. If the Rangers do trade Trouba, they'll probably be forced to retain a part of his salary. Trouba doesn't have a lot of value in the league currently.

      @@delsanravelvetheart4365 Thank You for your comment. I don't see it, if it's a swap for Patrik Laine, since the contracts should make it a bit of a wash/swap of $8M+/year. Let me know what you think (moreover, the fact that Patrik Laine wants out of Columbus makes their leverage so much more less). I think that it's a question of whether Jacob Trouba will be willing to go to Columbus & whether Columbus wants him.

    • @delsanravelvetheart4365
      @delsanravelvetheart4365 18 дней назад

      @@mariovaccarella6854 The problem would be that the Rangers don't really have a replacement defender, other then Robertson from the wolfpack and he's still a few years away from being NHL rdy. Jones is very small for a defender and I still think Jones needs another year or two before the Rangers really give him a shot. Which would leave getting a defensemen via Free agency, They'd also be trading away the Captain and the voice of the locker room. So trading Trouba isn't as easy as most people think it to be.
