- In this video I take a look at the new QWK Edge, a semi-auto Nerf AEG pistol. Made by the same people as the Challenger Mk3.
Video includes overview, chrono test, accuracy test and gameplay footage!
Zhenduo Toys product listing: www.zhenduotoy...
Bamboo dart high: 152 not 150.
Also Zhenduo offered to replace the blaster as is their policy. www.zhenduotoys.com/QWK-Edge-Electric-Blowback-Dart-Blaster-p17567952.html
that headshot at the start was pretty smooth
Helps when you can see them through the gap first!
Smooth operator 🎶🎶
That blaster is just perfect for our 150 fps cqb games. Gonna wait for the monkee mods version though. They usually upgrade their version.
The lower pic rail is also used for attaching to its proprietary holster, I think. And a pic rail can be screwed to the top front of the blaster.
Perhaps you can try the higher capacity battery. It could be that the current battery has just barely enough juice to power the blaster
That's pretty handy, still odd that they didn't do RMR mounts at the rear like the real thing though.
Also for the battery comment, that could be possible. The stock one is pretty tiny.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT You can attach a 12.5cm rail on the top slide, there are 2 screws on top for m3/m4, but you will need self tapping screws, and not too long m3 screw, Length of 1cm is just nice
And no the lower pic rail does not have any thing to do with its Proprietary holster, its just for torch/laser attachements
Loved the video! I purchased one for testing, but it had problems with 'bursting' and not firing. The replaced it, but the replacement had the issue you mentioned as well. I'm tempted to try it again though, but in the bursting issue, I burned up a Motor, stripped a gear, and the second burned up a battery, even though it wouldn't fire. When it did work though (for a few hours for one event), it was very accurate and consistent. Also worth noting, I did also figure it was the rear magnet. In the case of burst firing, I found the front return switch was defective and not resetting which lead to stripped gears and burned motor.
As for the battery, I measured the output of both the large and small battery, and they are the same. Only difference being mAh, or battery life. I did get cycling inconsistencies if the battery was drained even a little below maximum though.
The cycling issues only arose in mine after firing a couple of mags, so perhaps the voltage dropping was the cause. Might have to try the larger battery and see how that goes. They did not send me one of those though.
Ok you convinced me, 5 min after this video I placed the order, with the bigger battery.
Great video btw
If you end up having similar issue to mine, check the comments down below. A solution was posted involving a metal washer and the magnetic sensor.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT too easy thanks mate, I appreciate it
I've always been interested in the Flux pistol braces, so this blaster would be a perfect sidearm for an indoor war
Ooh nice, been waiting for more info on this blaster!
Thanks for the thorough review.
Great review. Can't believe how accurate it shot with the wind. I not a fan of the color, wish it was more toy like.
if you can afford it, always use dragon darts. they were made for this and the challenger. I never had an issue with those. even if the other darts work initially they will warp slightly if they stay in the mag and cause issues
My edge should be arriving in a couple weeks or so and I'm pretty hyped 😁😁I ordered mines with the bigger battery, the rail to attach on top, and an extra mag as well. Hopefully even with the bigger battery, I don't experience the problems you had with the blaster not cocking on it's own
Apparently the not cocking is due to misalignment of the magnetic sensor inside due to China tolerances. A fix is posted below this video in a comment.
Nice play and detailed information! I feel sorry for Rob who you shot in the face hahaha.
Mine do not have such issue and my serial number 1xxx. But the short battery is not reliable and not well made. Mine breaks down and cause some function issue after firing 500 over rounds.
Fortunately, I got the forsee to order a long battery earlier. And once I put on the long one. Nothing happened and everything works as it shall. I do enjoy firing this manually as the accuracy is insane but once you switch to semi-auto, accuracy drop due to the recoil of auto re-cocking. Of course, you do enjoy high rate of semi-auto firing. But sometimes, if I do pull trigger too fast, it will cause jam occasionally. Overall, this is a very good blaster. If you can ignore the price tag. Go for it. A very nice blaster in my collection.
I am also having the same issue when it does not chamber the next round. monkee mods just put out a video to fix it but he had to harvest parts from the qwk challenger. also monkee mods said that the small battery works fine. according to the latest video.
Make sure the battery is fully charged as well
@@FrontlineFoamBlasters yes I make sure it is. I have the tenergy tb6 charger. works well!
2:32 that battery looking like: 🗿
That's pretty cool.
big battery and some lube(no liquid oil allowed)on slide and the top of the magazine should fix the problem.
Is it really the day that 140/150 fps is low now wow have the standards changed
Considering I have an AEG that shoots 300fps, maybe it is low these days.
As a west Australian there is no chance this will ever get into my state 😭
Considering replicas are fine to own ,and nerf darts are fine ,I can't see a problem, the colour does need to be changed though, and it work probably put a spot light on the velocity of worker Harriers and the seagull ,I guess we will find out now the AEG dart blasters are out ,they also need a bright colour change
This looks amazing... electronically and aeg wise.
I just couldn't possibly justify this because it is literally a firearm replica and therefore illegal unless painted clear.
Hey, I just got mine in the mail and it's working flawlessly so far. I've noticed that mine doesn't have the black plastic plate in the battery compartment so I can directly see the green fire control pcb. Also I charged my battery with a B6 charger and it didn't experience your issue. Maybe a b3 isn't good enough?

You do great review videos and this one is no exception. I'm in the states so a blaster like this would only be good on private fields. I really like the real steel look. Watching the gameplay footage, one of your teammates is holding a red blaster that resembles a manatee. At 15:27 of the video. What blaster is that?
That is a pink P90 gel blaster
@@BradleyPhillipsYT thank you.
I see the next gen of these being killa. They just need to work out the kinks.
If you look at Bradley's shot from 20 méter away, the dart flies only very very WEAKLY like the soft touch of a feather! 😂
Another bradley phillips upload!
I really want this blaster in nsw but worried customs will take it.
I've heard of them taking clear S200 Fire Rats so it is definitely a little risky. Perhaps a local retailer will stock these eventually with no risk to them if they use B709a import permits.
How to you charge the battery pack? balancer cable plus alligator clips?
The fact that it doesnt work seems like a pretty big issue lol.
Whats the trigger pull like? I love the way it looks but if the trigger is bad i'm not very interested..
I'd say it's on par with manual springers, and has a pretty solid return.
Am I tripping, or didn't you upload a video about the Lehui LP55, titled something like "this can take a spring upgrade like a champ"
That was a photo post, but will be a video soon
I knew it; can't wait. Not sure if you done so, but you should compare your stock 2.0 and stock LP55, vs your modded 2.0 and modded LP55. Gonna get your hands on the 2.1 soon?
@@TehExecutioner24 the Mk2.1 would cost me $269 here so I won't be getting one, but I think you'll be surprised at the LP55. Actually managed a high of 193fps and average of 181fps. So that goes to show what the official blaster from Dart Zone could be capable of.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Jesus, well I'll tell you rn from my experience, it's not ALL that, wouldn't say you're missing out on much. Sure, magazine capability is cool, but the biggest gripe I have, is the overall size of the grip and the tiny mag release button. However, DZ is running a great deal on 4 extra magazines for 14.99, which is an excellent deal imo. Was considering getting the LP55, but they currently aren't offering extra mags from what I can see.
I read the problem appears to be only with the smaller battery. Do you have the larger battery pack?
I don't have the larger battery pack, though a comment below has said it's due to the position of a magnet in relation to the sensor inside the blaster.

I wish they made a version with colours and didn't look like a firearm because then i would get it
have you ever heard of spray paint ? its a wonderful invention, believe it or not, its a tin can thingy from which you can easily shout paint out of it !!! I know, I know, I was skeptic at first too, but its very cheap and easy to make anything you want looks just the way you like :)

Hey brad do u know what upgrades I need on my cali burn 4 for 325 fps?
Most likely you'll want a 13mm ID x 18" aluminium barrel, make sure you have a good air seal and try some stronger springs than K26, maybe even some combo springs.
10:00 I'm actually impressed with the results considering how windy it was outside.
I feel bad for all you Aussie guys and the crazy laws you have. I hope it changes for y'all one day. It's bullshit.
What charger should i use?
Excellent look at a unique platform. I only have one question, if you were to loose it today, would you go out tomorrow and get another one?
Personally I would not, 150fps is a little low for where I skirmish. Our velocity limit is 300fps which is more suited to blasters like the Milsig M79.
Can the butt stock be removed entirely? Don't need that as a side arm.
Pretty sure you could but it would require manually pushing down on the retention spring or something, as it's not designed to come fully out when you deploy it.
I feel as though this would be confiscated at customs in Australia.
Possibly, though I'm aware of multiple that haven't been.
Hey man, does it shoots suction cups darts without issue?
No, it would not. The suction cups are wider than the foam.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT i see, thanks for answering
It's absolutely insane that the Glock style "safety" is legal at all, anywhere. It literally, very obviously negates the entire point of a safety.
With Glocks the holster forms part of the safety, covering the trigger.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT I can honestly see that argument, absolutely. What I can't see though, is why you would have the fake safety at all if the idea was that the Glock would never leave the holster until someone was ready to pull the trigger.
To me, it just feels like one of those things where I see a lot of almost plausible arguments but people rarilt ever actually practice enough down the chain of plausible parts of the argument for it to hold true.
To put it another way, to someone who honestly believes and follows the idea that their Glock stays in its holster 247 while not in use, I will abdicate the argument to them, as it seems like a reasonable enough way to prevent negligent discharges.
For everyone else who supports that though, I just feel like they're kinda full of it and are too dishonest to admit they just don't actually care about gun safety, and somehow think that the accidental application of 5.5 pounds is fine as the only thing between life and death for someone else.
My big problem, is I've come across a lot of gun guys, and too many fall into the latter camp vs the former, which when you think about it from a wider societal perspective, do I really want all of those unsafe firearms owners walking around, negligent discharges waiting to happen? No.
The obvious solution to me is just to outlaw not having a safety, at the very least for guns without a very heavy trigger pull (DA revolvers) and perhaps for all manufactured moving forwards. Of course just like my problem with gun owners in a very general sense (because I know this isn't all gun owners) is that they largely are against any increase in limitations whatsoever. Like a very locked in group mentality of "give em an inch, they take a mile".
Where I am (Canada) It's less of an issue as that type of militant, thoughtless pro gun attitude hasn't built up. I'd even go so far as to say I think our laws go too far in many places (Especially since from all the empirical evidence I've seen, handguns illegally coming across the border are responsible for a great majority of gun crime here), so really this is mostly an issue to me in terms of what cops carry and with any thoughts about moving to the US for career reasons.

Sorry to ask this as an obnoxious question.
But with your viewership could you help us get GelBlasters unbanned in other States of Australia! I'm a huge advocate that was this sport to be in Western Australia but unfortunately we dont even have the opportunity now since small voices are barely heard...
how good is the worker bamboo dart?
Pretty good actually, I like them

Surprised you didn't do a accuracy test on full auto. Would be nice to see where the shots land with the bit of recoil it has
This blaster doesn't do full auto unless there's something I missed?
ah ah ah here it is prize : € 223.84 + shipping .... 1$ not = 1€ pffffff
i wait mine.
thats basicly an springer AEG
My Edge is arrived. It was a bad decision to order it. First it was badly put together. Bad O-ring, bad screws, gears were moving, the barell was too thick, no lubricating grease, some wires torn apart, soo a big mess.
After I fix every thing: this blaster NEVER could 150 FPS!!. The maximum FPS with pro Bamboo dart is: 110-120 FPS!!. The distance is max: 12-13 meter! so a big disappointment and scam. Maybe with an upgrade spring help a bit for more FPS. Maybe 130-140 FPS (MAYBE) So this gun is very pretty, very cool, very good looking, BUT: not usefull, not good enough to play pro Nerf games. Itt good for amatures or beginner players. But I think its a waste of Time and money! Its defenetly not worth the price. Dont buy it! Buy a stronger modell something else. (And there is no option to upgrade this gun) thats it.
There is no construction that can achieve more than 120-130 FPS. it does not exist! don't buy it!!! it will just suck. what they say is false: that it is 150 FPS and 15-20 meters. The real one: 120 FPS and 10-12 meters. gears wear quickly. don't buy it!
Hey man, i have been watching most of videos and they are really awesome reviews, i have extensive knowledge with the edge, and i can give freee advice to fix all your jam issues and auto not re-firing issue, after your moddings, you may share another modding review if you would like to help the rest of the qwk edge users out there. You may personally message me for my whats app or telegram and ill be glad to help you fix your issue. Now currently my qwk edge with a 17.2cm barrel but 12.8 ID is hitting a constant 145fps on worker reds on stock spring (1.5 edge spring) and 165 avg on china yellow double ribbed bamboos due to weather humidity in singapore, in your country i believe after these mods, they will hit a good 165 constant on new worker reds on stock spring with a 1/10 minimal jam. on an upgrade spring (1.6 edge spring) and stronger motor with board and microswitch from TaoBao, i have achieved a highest of 182 fps and 190 fps (in your country it will hit about 200fps) on good china yellow double ribbed bamboos. I recommend that you will need a stronger motor and a cnc slide with a 17cm to 17.2 for the upgrade spring other wise it will damage your stock motor and weaken it, but it will definitely increase your fps, slide cocking smoothness and complete 3secs air seal test.
Thanks for the comment, in your experience what is the usual cause of it not re-cocking?
@@BradleyPhillipsYT the magnet on the side plunger is not near to the sensor, its china manufacturing defect, what you will need is a tiny 0.3mm thick metal washer that can fit in to the square part of the magnet slot, fit it in the put the magnet over and screw it in. it should work.
@@JamesWatamii that should solve the issue I had with it. I didn't have any jamming with the darts I used, just no auto re-cock sometimes.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT I'm unable to get af pro 2.0s bamboos in my country, I'm not sure where to get it, any idea where I can get them?
@@JamesWatamii I had to get someone in the USA to ship to me. Only sold there and Canada I believe.
