1:10 WOW!!! It's really cool to see dual gauge track on a "mainline" in America. I wish they had turned their entire narrow gauge network into a heritage line, instead of preserving bits and pieces of it.
Thank you for the upload. I really enjoyed the video. I love steam locomotives and especially footage I have never seen before. You put a lot of effort and time into this video. Remarkable clarity for that time era. I definitely give this video 5 thumbs up.

491 and 497 were the strongest K-37’s!
True that
2:48 Talk about a rare shot, probably the first time i've ever seen a freight train comprised of both Narrow AND Standard Gauge rolling stock.
That was common practice in Newfoundland. Look up the narrow gauge railroad they had until CN tore it out in 1988.
All thus footage has been sped up substantially

And is the sound just sound effects or was it really the locomotives in the video?
This was dubbed in (sound FX) from the Green Frog Sound Library!
Is this one when the cumbres and Toltec and the Durango & Silverton were connected
Yes. This footage was taken prior to the abandonment of the narrow gauge right of way in the early 1970s.
