Winston knew how to play the game. He lost much, when he’d helped John, however small. But still, he knew how to get revenge: the Marquis’ death, and his hotel reinstated and rebuilt. He couldn’t go against the Table. Not even John could completely destroy them. But chances are they really disliked conceding to Winston’s terms after how he defied them so blatantly.

Overall, I think they evolved in terms of action and regressed in terms of script in every sequence. So, to me, the first film has the best script, the fourth has the best action sequences and the second film has the best balance between a great script and great action. I say this about the script because the first one really nailed. We never had nothing more iconic than that monologue Viggo gives to his son. John really only talks when he needs to, there's no silly one-lines like the last one. The dialogues are all great, and they knew better when to breath and develop the relationships and dynamics of the plot.

John Wick didn't die at the End, he just passed out from the wounds. During the duel both he and the opponent shot eachother in the exact, same non-lethal places that the Dr from the earlier movies told Wick to shoot him in, the Grave Scene was likely either a ruse to stave off any potential assassins going after him from under the Tables Nose, it's probably setting up for John Wick 5 which has been confirmed by the Director

Wick was lucky to have Winston as his backup, despite what they went through together. Winston can come up with the right words to eloquently cajole, convince and counter any and all points from the Marquis, and knew exactly all terms to mention before he stopped talking. Dealing with the Marquis needed to be done with precision and care, as well as being confident all the way. Then, even the Marquis would find no fault to argue about.

For anyone who is curious I looked up Victoria Fiducia together and individually. If you translate it into a full sentence instead of two words it roughly means victory through confidence, courage faith and/or trust. Which , spoiler alert; ironically John Wick wins by not acting like the Marquis de Gramont. Which as Winston reminds him ( the Marquis) "You arrogant asshole he didn't shoot". Their personal story archetypes reach their conclusion at the climax of the movie as polar opposites aka the Protagonist and Antagonist. Especially since the Marquis will use anyone he wants to however he wants to achieve his goals. John Wick simply will try to avoid being a hindrance to his friends unless absolutely necessary like dying sometimes even literally.
