I will have to find a reason and time to do a transmission fluid change. My blower is exceptionally new still and has barely seen much run time. Despite living in Canada, I live in a region that doesn't get a ton of snow very often. I sometimes question why I even bother owning a snowblower but I do have a bad back so it is a god send to own one when the snow does dump. I will definitely do a video on the fluid change when that time arrives.
@@piercedasian I did one of my driveshaft seals on my 622 a few years ago I now need to replace the other side ( should done both at the same time) I had a very hard time finding the info on how to change to transmission oil and how much it takes. I don't remember what I did since it's so long ago. Called the most local Honda Powersport dealer, they got the seals but they're telling the transmission takes the same 5W30 motor oil. I still have some of the Honda Hypoid Gear Oil in my garage from that job and what's leaking onto the garage floor is not engine oil. You know what they say, trust but verify. Great Video and nice little CRX in the back.
So can you update your status on a PRK surgery after a six year time has passed? I've got a ReLEx Smile surgery not so long ago and my vision isn't as good a I want. Doctors say I have to wait to get a stable result.
What is a ReLex Smile Surgery? That doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with eyes lol. I can do an update video over the Christmas holidays and share my overall thoughts after so many years post surgery.
@@piercedasian ReLEx Smile is a 3rd generation of an eye laser surgeries. The first one was PRK, then LASIK, now there is ReLEx Smile. It's drastically safer and doesn't need time for recovering. But looks like in my case my brain must adapt to it's new optics. Lol You can google it or just check it out on RUclips.
@@MrBridgeHouse wow I had no idea. I wonder while it has smile in the name. Makes it sound like a dental procedure to make nicer smiles. I will check it out later today.
On a HS624, HS724, HS828, HS928, & HS1132 use the left side drain plug. It has a metal spout ramp to drain oil into a funnel then the oil catch pan; no mess. Also I would suggest getting a Honda Shop Manual alot of wrong information on RUclips & the internet. Some of these Ignoramuses don't even know how to use their tools properly.
I would do that IF my blower got more use but alas due to global warming and the location of where I live that snow is sporadic. We will get light dustings of snow and then at least 2x a year a nice dumping of snow. I'll keep that in mind for my next maintenance job on this blower and even do a tranny oil change video.
I am not aware of a procedure that would allow you to do it. The gearbox on these are more or less sealed and should be maintenance free. Unless you're having issues with the drivetrain that I would highly recommend you leave well alone. The gearboxes on these units move SOOO slow that I'd be hard pressed to believe the oil in them would be subjected to any real stresses that would break down the oil.
Thanks for video. I would suggest to put rubber material under machine to remove spilt oil easily.
Thanks for the tip!
Proud of you for replacing the washer😁
Lol most folks don’t but I have yet to see the plug leak by reusing the old washer.
Great video... quick and easy. Now can you please do a trans fluid change on the same blower?

@@diecastdoktor9191 i have the same problems. One of the seal let oil go on the ground. I have to do it before snow. Is it hard to do ?
Luc Vallières it’s super easy to replace the seal, they’re not pressed in and come out quite easy
Nice video 👍🏾
Thanks!
👍👍👍
Glad you liked it

Every once in a while change the transmission gear oil and check it each time for being full. The 622 is gear driven.

How do I change the transmissive oil? In the gearbox.

There is a drain plug at bottom of trans case, and black filler plug by exhaust. It is meant to be changed or added if it leaks
@@Drckarvo thank you for this. I was looking all over for a filling port.😃
