Almost 10 years ago this version of Great Spirit first hit me right in the heart and it's now more poigniant than ever before in these times of mistrust. Almost 10 years ago this version of Great Spirit first hit me right in the heart and it's now more poigniant than ever before in these times of mistrust. I swear this song opens up a channel in me every time I hear it and every emotion I have ever felt rushes to the surface. I feel that connection and that power that comes from something far greater than us, I feel that sorrow and pain for the past and what coud have been had we chosen a different path, but I also feel incredible unity, hope and love for the future if we stay true to the message and embrace all life, not just our own.
