  • In todays video I show what the front end angles look like with the SST 2.0 kit and I'm sure it is the same as the 4" SST on non trail boss trucks!

    I’m really glad the community is debunking the 4 auto myth. I love 4 auto and wouldn’t want to sacrifice that feature. You can definitely tell the difference between 4 auto and 4 hi in a turn. Rains often and roads are slick and it’s nice to have the confidence and control. With that said, you could easily talk yourself in to more lift than needed. Looking at a Cognito 3” in comparison to run 295/70R18 or a 35x11.50 thanks to this channel.

    When in 4x4 Auto, and it shifts in, it's important to remember, those front wheels are turning at the time.
    I don't see that allowing for a heavy shock to the system. Especially on snow.

    FYI, the trail boss/AT4’s have longer CV axles than the standard models. The SST kits stretch them right out.

    Not sure why they didn't just do a 3" kit. 2" via top spacer and an additional inch via spring spacer. This would allow for maximum drop to be the same as only having a 2" level. Would also allow to use stock upper control arms now that I think about it.

    What do you think the best size wheel and tire is for the lift you have? Trying to decide what route I want to go. Im mostly between 22x12on 33s or 20x12 on 33s but still undecided. Thanks dude. Love the truck! Looks so sick!

    Isn't 4 auto using clutches to engage? There shouldn't be that much "shock" when it does engage. From my use of it, you can't feel when you lock up into 4 wheel from 2 wheel. 4 auto is really good for roads that are partially snow covered, where you don't want to run 4 wheel all the time.

    Hey is see this is little old but when ya did your lift did you get a front end alignment I got a new 2023 AT4 with the same kit going in next week. And how's yours holding up. Also if I remember right you were into the mustang. Funny I went thru the mustang thing also now back into my trucks. Got tired of the law messing with me every time I went out. Then again was making 800hp to the rears.. Ye ha..

Not trying to be contentious or anything like that! Timeframe/editing is of interest and could make for an interesting video as well, since so many followers want to know more about HOW you do what you do. thanks!

    I have a 2020 Chevy non trail boss with the 4” kit, angles are the same as yours, 4wd auto worked flawlessly in the snow/ice at work all last week. But I’m always careful on how far my wheels are turned when in 4wd auto
    Regular 4wd just used a lot more gas than in 4wd auto was my only reasoning for using auto

      I was wondering if non tb had worse angles due to shorter axles? Did lift affect ride quality much? I'm trying to decide on sst 4.0 for non tb or sst 2.0 for tb and tb bilsteins. What do you think?

    • @alfredobanuelos836
      @alfredobanuelos836 2 года назад +1

      @@hustleman4880 The angles aren’t too bad on the non TB. I’ve put 20k miles on it now and is full time farm/work truck with no issues. I did replace the rear shocks with bilstiens 5160s as the oem ranchos with shock extenders ride a little rough on the farm. Other than that, still rides good and is comfortable on road trips.
