  • The Robinson R66/R44/R22 Performance Pads calculate Weight and Balance and Performance (OGE/IGE) and also Maximum Continuous Power, Vne etc.
Tim Tucker, Robinson Helicopter Company's Chief Instructor and Claus Richter founder of Gyronimo Systems have teamed together to produce a series of new performance apps for the Robinson R22, R44 and R66. These new apps build on the already popular Robinson apps developed by Gyronimo Systems but add the insights and knowledge of Robinson's well known Chief Instructor. Each app includes not only weight & balance and navigation calculations, but also all critical performance calculations such as Manifold Pressure, Vne and IGE/OGE limits.

I believe it was in 1997 when I had my check ride with Tim Tucker and I never forgot it. He is such a nice guy and he really got a kick out of me wearing the "typical" Vietnam Helicopter "Uniform" which were (original) NOMEX Helicopter pilot flight pants, white v-neck t-shirt and NOMEX gloves. He loved it. He said he has not seen any [civilian] pilot dress like that since Vietnam. Made my day! Thank you, Sir, I took that as a compliment.

Had the huge honour to have this Legend instruct me on the Robinson factory safety course many years ago in South Africa. 👏👏👌🇿🇦

Great App. Been using it for years with all our helicopters, wish they would do one for our one off BO-105 LS A3 C30p Superlifter. Also wish we could put camera gimbals in the app.

I occasionally fly my R44 II with a camera mount, and you can actually add custom items to make these extended W&B calculations. Flip from Chart View (the default) to Table View, you can add longitudinal and lateral weight/arm values.

Looks like a great app. Pity it's only available on Apple devices..

I have purchased your Raven I and Raven II apps but I don't see one for the R22 beta? Do you have one?

    20.6 + 2.8 is 23.4 not 24.4?

Tim has actually made a mistake when he calculates MCP at 8000 feet and 10c he advises the MCP is 20.6 and you can add 2.8 for 5 minutes but he said this will give you 24.6 and it should have been 22.6 just saying you need to do your own calculations.

20.6 + 2.8 is not 22.6... He did say the wrong number, 24.4, He meant 23.4 which he specifies when the app calculates his full throttle.

You wanna watch your weight balance too....if you fly solo you definitely will be one skidlow...can cause all sorts of problems. I hear slimfast is very effective. Also there is aseat weight limit to take into account. you better read up on that. used to be 220 lbs , slightly higher on the 44...which limit I am sure you gonna bust.Anyhoo this is just a subtle reminder to check your weight, eat more greens and cutthe cakes and burgers. Have a nice day.

Not only that. If you don't take care of your
health, by eating right n exercising regularly,
You'll hit the skids sooner... Pun intended, ☠️
