    Great instruction Darryl.
All cars should have a solar panel to keep the starter battery at full charge I reckon. If my research is correct the longest life from starter batteries is achieved when it is kept at 100% state of charge (Which needs a good charge controller). I have a hard top, so I can put a ton of panels on the roof, so I really like the idea of using body wrap to attach the solar panels to rather than directly sikaflex them to the panel.

As expected another great video Darryl. We just supplied a bonnet solar panel for a customers FJ Cruiser, works well. With the vinyl wrap its not an issue though for direct adhesion from a lightweight solar panel to the surface we use Fix8 adhesive as it allows for variations in expansion due to temperature change. The 3M tape also works well. We fit lightweight solar using tape with no lifting issues though some customers run a bead of sealant or a alloy strip across the leading edge.
    Nice install

I like it. Love the idea. Most people run a black vinyl panel in that spot anyways, might as well make it beneficial

Really cool! But for Aussie JLs, it seems we're limited to the smaller 35W panel because of the plastic vents!

How's the solar panel currently holding up? Does it pull close to 82 watts?
Thanks for the video Darryl 👌

It trickle charges ok but I've never seen the outputs that are suggested.
