I agree with each and every point, I was in Mauritius on student visa and realized no one is going to save/help me. I did manage to find part time work as a cashier and managed work-study balance. I had to sacrifice my good night sleep, had to learn to share my toilet, bathroom and kitchen with fellow Indian students who were into construction. Survived eating just brown bread, egg bhurji, rice and boiled eggs. But my habit of working out at the gym helped me a lot, it kept me disciplined and followed the same routine every single day. I met with many students from Bangladesh/Pakistan/India working in the same mall at different food counter earning minimum wages of MUR 18500/-. They were all agreed at one point, Fresh clean air to breathe, Clean and properly constructer roads, Free treatment at hospital, You just get use to it while staying abroad and dont miss India atleast on the above mentioned points.
Thank you for making such real and informative videos.

When we come here, many of us have a different perspective, but the reality is different. The truth is You are coming to a new country, starting from scratch, with a new culture, and a new way of everything, and the struggle is real. It's good to know the truth before you come.

Canada wants the best and brightest students from India to come here and become engineers, surgeons, doctors, construction workers, etc.
Canada doesn't need indian students coming here to fill roles at Tim Hortons and Dairy Queen.
There's enough teenagers here born in Canada to do those jobs.

100% accurate. I’ve been in Canada for almost 20 years. Came as a student and worked here in a job for 14 years until I got to know the real side of a JOB as well which isn’t explained here in this video. What I learnt is that you must have another side business while staying in your 9-5 job if you want to get ahead in life. Else you will end up paying very high taxes and bills. You will be left with nothing much to save for later years. I got lucky and found a really nice business opportunity which I could start part time, and after 3 years I left my job to focus on the business fully. A game changer for me and many others who I have helped through my business opportunity.
This is a good video for everyone to watch and learn. Thanks.

You can plug in music while doing these chores. Enjoy this too. In India we are too used to being served so what’s negative in doing your own work. Might as well no be lazy

Canada has, for decades, been in the top 10 of least racist and safest countries on planet Earth. Plus prosperous. Now there is a new negative spin that most Canadians do NOT deserve to a high degree. People must look at both sides.
Since 2020, international students have been flocking to a educational system that many Canadians now feel was used by many of them as a loophole-to-immigration. Students utilizing schooling as a back-door (not front-door) ticket to living in Canada. Swarming a 50+ year tradition/system that was not not NOT designed to be about EVERY international student insisting on Permanent Residency. Plus it was not designed to be primarily about students insisting on lengthy work permits (& spouse permits etc.). Canadians have clued in that Canada's post secondary education system has (in 5 years time) turned into what many are now jokingly calling EDUGRATION. Plus 'edugration' was NEVER approved by everyday Canadians.
What about Ghost Consulting that Canada told India to halt? Canadians want the $ greedy agents in other countries to stop marketing & lying to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy (to get). And for any people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're getting greedy too. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 20% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine/trades etc.).
What about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a product? Advertising VISITOR visas too (with the goal of staying once in Canada). Videos not only posted hourly but also not in English or French. With rare input from Canadian-born citizens.
Are most international students truly scholars who came to Canada with enough $ to support themselves while STUDYING? Or economic migrants, who borrowed $ to buy their way closer to the head of the immigration line? To say all the students or their consultants back home have not been at times 'gaming' Canada's education programs to gain western PR or $ is ridiculous. Students have contributed to Canada's housing CRISIS because 97% conspire-to-stay … not just visit with their temporary study permit. This extreme never existed at schools 5 years ago.
What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? Fraud? False asylum claims? What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? Home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Indian nationals buying local businesses then putting Indians only in key positions (while also drastically changing work practices that include working more hours for less money). BC & Ontario are outlawing the Caste System.
Then throw in the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. How can peace be found anywhere with this in play? Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent. Research; "India second biggest foreign threat to Canada after China, says government panel". Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border.
In recent years, Canadians everyday are having to worry about their automobile being stolen by auto theft rings. For just ONE small example of what Canadians see regarding this, research; "arrests in connection with $9.24M Toronto-area auto theft ring".
Canadians are so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful. All are praying it doesn't turn into great anger. Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).
Canadians are aware that some great students are going through hell. And know Canada is partially to blame which is awful. But Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians now see primarily Indians protesting in Canada, making demands (due to IRCC pumping it's immigration brakes because it REALLY HAS TO)? Yes. Protesting because they don't have the credentials to stay in Canada. And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires/demands. And why isn't there large crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino or Chinese or Mexican etc., students protesting & waving their flags? They're in Canada too.
Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until the majority of international students were from India. Coincidence? Mills that Canada is shutting down. AND the bulk of them are near Brampton Ontario and Surrey B.C.. Coincidence?
If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise India's population by 2.65%. Recent asylum seekers crossing into Canada… and especially international students... have raised Canada's population higher than 2.65%. More needing healthcare too (affecting waiting times etc).
Did international students and their families pay into Canadian taxes ALL their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No.
Did Canada force internationals to move to Canada as a student? No.
Did Canada promise/guarantee PR? Or a job? No & no.
Yet do they blame Canada when they can't get PR???
PS: Canadians are now wondering; "What caused all this drama around international students to happen?". And when pondering this question they're thinking about Canada ... and ONE other country. WHY?🤔

The main problem is that there are only a handful of places in Canada where vast majority of the immigrants and students are moving into.
There are only limited number of housing and jobs available. The demand for housing and jobs is much much greater than supply of housing and jobs.
Than you add unprecedented inflation and high costs of living in Canada. No wonder many people are struggling in Canada and things will not change any time soon and will continue to get worse in the foreseeable future.

Thanks to RUclipsrs like you, I had a realistic expectation of how life was going to be in Canada. I see many people either calling you king of demotivation or are rejoicing that they didn't choose Canada. But, sometimes you need to make a choice in life and back it up with hard work. If your life is already great in India, it doesn't make sense to start from scratch in a foreign country. So, blindly choosing to come to Canada will be the worst decision you can ever make. Also, once you are already here it's better to work hard and try to earn some certifications to improve chances of getting employed. If you are acquainted with an easy life where you need not even wash the dishes and look down such kind of work it's better to stick to your home country where you have maids to help with everything. Here, you will need to do atleast majority of work yourself.

But, on a sudden, Reality hits me from my back saying "Surpise MF" and on that time I felt like I fall from the CN tower to Ground. But, now I am back on the track on surviving with a part time jobs. I don't know if I can plan a future in this country yet.

No bro. Coming to Canada is good.
When you have Canadian education, you can go back home to India and then apply for jobs in Canada or anywhere abroad. Or take a job in India at a big company and then apply for Canada PR based on the points based immigration program. Focus on your education first.

Best way to come to Canada is coming on deputation from good MNC company. Else come for masters or PhD studies from top university.
if not for above two reasons, do not come.

Everything you said in this video IS THE REALITY idk y people still think that life abroad is a filmy life, there is a difference between both. And about part-time jobs, I don't even know what to say atp cuz I've been here for almost a year and still don't have any part-time job as where I live is a small city/town and also other cities near my place don't have any vacancies as there are so many students coming. I have noticed one thing that employers here prioritize boys over girls as they can carry heavy weights and are "strong", in my opinion, there are also some who will only hire people from the same ethnic background and people of the same state or speakers of same language.....No hate to anyone I respect their choice but still, it hurts to see this happening. For me, it's not a problem, but some of my friends who have to pay their loans are seriously thinking about why they came here.😕

To be honest, you watered it down even. The situation is even worse than this. For any student reading this, anything he said is true, but if it felt bad? Then know that it is half of how worse it actually is.
Again, not trying to demotivate anyone, I am all in for growth, but upskilling from day 1 is the only way to go. Find a skill, f***ing master it, and then when your work permit starts, it will be comparatively easier for you to get a job. Keep in mind, it won't be easy, it will be comparatively easy. For other students it will be shitty, for you, it will be a bit less shitty.
American and Canadian dream is long dead, there is a 4 yrs of synergy gap between India and Canada, people there have 20% clue of how shitty it is here.
P.S. I am on work permit with a really nice tech job, and I sat for 6 months jobless even after having 4+ yrs of exp in MNCs and top industry certificates. The market is just shitty.
