- Well, I really don't know, what to write about Jóhanna Guðrún's ravishing version of "The Power of Love", I'm just overwhelmed...
But nevertheless I'll try it this way: Whenever I hear Jóhanna Guðrún singing, I immediately have the same thought in my mind "Oh, my God! What a beautiful voice, what a outstanding singer!" I'm rather sure, that's exactly that what is going to happen also to you on watching this video and you will surely agree:
Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir is simply the best... :o)
As almost always Jóhanna is accompanied by her life companion Davíð Sigurgeirsson, for me one of the best guitarists of Iceland and an outstanding artist.
Originally sung, written, produced and released by Jennifer Rush, Gunther Mende, Candy de Rouge and Mary Susan Applegate in late 1984.
The most successful cover versions were sung by Laura Branigan (1987) and Céline Dion (1993).
