    The reason Zack missed is he rested his rifle on top of the fence post! If you do not put a softener between the rifle and the post (hand- jacket?) the rifle will shoot high every time.Good video I hope this helps in the future.

    Are there drastic, or even mild thermals in the winter ?

    • @PNWild
      @PNWild  Год назад

      There are always thermals. Especially on a cold morning and a bright sunny afternoon. That warm up throughout the day will always cause some thermals.

    At 29 minutes 52 seconds that buck does a classic jump from being hit. I didn't see video of going up to where the buck was standing, was there any blood?

    • @PNWild
      @PNWild  5 лет назад

      Jason Downer no. If you read previous comments the situation has been explained, clean miss. On slow motion we can see the bullet hit a branch above the buck. Another hunter harvested that buck the next day, no other wound in the deer.

    • @zach3305
      @zach3305 2 года назад

      Jeffrey where is the proof of this "broken branch" ???
      Seems like every other shot that gets takin on this channel is either a "miss" or a spine shot.

    Cool view of what my homestate has to offer when you draw them late tags.. don't see much film on wa, nice work. Ps you shouldn't see many hunters when the max amt of tags is around 30 per gmu. 15 is more comon so if you draw your not seeing hardly anyone.

    Guys that was well worth the wait. I tried watching it 3 times before I got to the end. What a slob. So many questions. Was that a coyote that got destroyed by a cougar? How many points did you have? Also Zach I would do one of 2 things either cash it in cause that was one hell of a great season which will be hard to beat or.... just keep riding the wave cause brother you are on fire. At this rate it looks like a state record black bear is going down this weekend. All kidding aside awesome film and footage. Friends and family on hunt like that, doesn't get any better. Keep it up.

    Awesome, thanks for sharing! Ignore the armchair crowd - you all earned that buck with a lot of hard work and patience. Also, a lot of kudos for your stellar ethics - you seemed willing to pass on a buck of several lifetimes if it had crossed an imaginary line onto private land in the middle of nowhere. Your true character is shown and you make me proud as a fellow hunter.

    Shooting off a fencepost will throw your shots high. Not sure why but I've seen it happen and heard about it many more times. Put your hat or something between that wood and the stock.

      matt mclemore it was a clean miss. We reviewed the footage and saw the bullet hit a branch a couple inches above the buck’s back. Also, the buck was killed the next day by another hunter who confirmed again that the deer was not hit previously.

    If 33:33 is 470 yards through the scope, then why are you shooting at a deer at 29:46? Looks like 600-800 yards which assuming the rifle is sub MOA and the shooter is sub MOA is still way too far to shoot. How far was the first shot?

  • @leviredman2294
    @leviredman2294 4 года назад +1

    Looked like a gut shot to me

  • @brianberthiaume1377
    @brianberthiaume1377 6 лет назад +1

    You killed two deer. The first was a gut shot. If you have a playback that can go frame by frame you can see a 2' stream. So exactly how did the other hunter kill that buck?

    • @PNWild
      @PNWild  6 лет назад +4

      Brian Berthiaume thank you for your investigation but your very wrong but it’s okay you can’t always be right. Zack shoots over the bucks back by 8 inches. And we have harvest photos of the gentleman who harvested the buck the next morning. Thanks for playing online game warden tho buddy.

    • @brianberthiaume1377
      @brianberthiaume1377 6 лет назад +3

      Its your video and it shows a stream of blood coming from his gut. Shit happens. I get it. Glad someone found the deer.

    • @PNWild
      @PNWild  6 лет назад +1

      Brian Berthiaume We are really thankful you were there to witness the hunt. We didn’t realize that you know more about what happened than we do.... Seriously though we watched the buck after the misses trot for over 500 yards, no blood anywhere. We reviewed the footage in super slow mo and zoomed in and you see the bullet hit a branch well above the bucks back, and we scoured the area for any sign of blood. Misses happen, this was a clear miss. So again, thanks for your comment but you are simply wrong.

    • @tykeele2
      @tykeele2 6 лет назад +7

      Brian, My Daughter and I hunted the same unit with a different tag the whole time these guys were hunting. I seen a lot of the same Bucks in this film myself during the week of hunting, I even have live photos of Zacks Buck a day or two before he killed it. I met Zack and the PNWILD crew while over there also and they are some great upstanding people. I stayed with a couple other gentlemen while over there that both had the same Mule Deer tag Zack had also. The Buck that Zack missed the day before is without a doubt the same Buck one of my partners killed the same day Zack killed this great Buck. The Buck was not hit and alive and well the day after he missed it until it was killed by my buddy. Before spitting hate on a public feed at least know without a doubt your accusations are correct or just don't say anything at all. We are all sportsmen here, we all love to hunt and the privilege to hunt. We have enough enemies of the sport as it is that we don't need more enemies within. If you care to fact check me hit me up sometime. My name is Ty keele both on FB and IG and easy to find.

    Great video, cool bro’,s
    Gay music...
    Why? Would ANYONE go out in nature, hoping God would pipe in some music from hell?
    Wtf is UP with people doin that??? Ruined the whole thing. I turned the sound off, then on, 3x then just gave up.
    Leave the nature film, natural.
    Please. Or if Anything, at least make it something that fits the film eh?
