Definitely made the right choice on the flex blue and pigment load, I think experimenting with different base colours is the way to go big 5 from me

In a way, I'm kinda surprised that this hasn't already been a thing... Even going as far as putting the speed shapes at the end of the video to then be voted on for a week, and then posting the video of that particular vote result the following week. Yeah, it'd be a 2 week cycle from initially seeing the options to being a full video thereof, but it'd raise viewer interaction and possibly interest as well.

Do a life saver striped style 6 colour base on the car then spray it that would be something different a bit of work but think it would be good.

Absolutely OBSESSED with this format of using the speed shapes. I think it'll help much later down the line so a project will never feel like a complete bust by having a mini preview to make better educated guesses.
This new format and colour combo gets a 10/5 from me. It's spectacular.
That looks fantastic. I definitely like the new format. One thing I have always wondered when you do your pearl-pearl or pearl-base mix is what the pearls by themselves look like sprayed. These speed shapes allow us to see them on their own and try to predict what will happen and see if we're right. Then at the end when you ask "What should/could we have done different?" we have a better idea of what to suggest. Definitely keep this format.

Okay I can admit when I’m wrong. Gunmetal was my first choice with blue as the second, but I do NOT regret you guys using the blue base!

Hands down one of the most dynamic color shifts you guys have done. That stuff is insane. Kinda wondering what it would look like over a brown base. Blue was the move, though. Looks absolutely incredible!!! Glad you guys are playing with more bases to find better/ different final products!!

I really like showing the new shifts on all the speed shapes in the main colors. Hope it's something you continue to do as it let's us see. It gives us much more information in a vid about a particular shift and how it works with color.

Great format! Showing off the multiple bases is a great way to go forward, showing the potential of future projects. I give this one a 5. It looks like a California Sunset to me.
There are so many times when I watch your videos that I wished I saw the flake over a different color. Having the speed shapes at the beginning is awesome to curb that curiosity, and the end result was amazing!

its almost like you read my comment on the last video about base colors. Total game changer. Would not have been impressed with the color if sprayed on your typical black base (I still think the white scaled up would look good) but this blue base is absolutely stunning. I would recommend this format moving forward.
They have done hypershift over white large scale. It just looks like a factory white pearl paint job with a hint more color.
The White had weird cobweb crack lines forming on it where the coats overlapped, especially here 1:18 you can see in the dip of the curve. It would not have looked good scaled up.
5/5, Absolutely incredible, easily one of the best coats you all have ever done on the channel. I want everything in my home to be covered in this. The only thing that could be improved is I wish the base blew didn't come through quite as much, it's SO close to being truly iridescent with no one obvious dominant color. If the shift could be a bit more intense so the base blue "blends in" more, or the base color itself was a hue gradient or had a slight color shift to it, then it'd be 6/5, literal perfection

Definitely a 5! I love how you showed how it looked on the forms and then chose which color looked the best. When you showed the results, I gasped and got chills. I love this so much. This is one of only a couple of cars that the finish gave me chills.
Format was great fonzi, having multiple shapes painted is a great addition!
I'm actually so in love with that colour. Blue base was the best choice. And was nice to see the options before the final product was decided. Should do that again so can see what works best. Would look good over yellow aswel. It's a 10/5 for me. Absolutely stunning

Looks amazing on the blue! Btw when I've asked for split down the middle on a car I've always suggested it being 2 different colors than white and black. Like Blue and Red, or Green and Orange or something like that.

This is a KILLER combo! Love the shift displaying all the phases from green to purple with the strong base coat of blue coming through... one of the best ones yet for sure...
This is my favorite color and shift so far! I love the new format of testing to get an idea on what it could be. It’s still fun seeing the mystery stuff with the mad scientist but this result is incredible.
Testing the bases like that first is THE way to go, I love that format. Also,, 5/5 that's awesome how the blue is clearly there but the hypershift is an incredible accent in every way.

Man, that's a sleeper! I was expecting it to be more subtle, but it hits your eyes at just the right moment while showcasing the original color of the car depending on the shadows. Really cool!

The lines and curves running into the vertical sided wheel arches on the BMW make it a great base to show off the paint scheme. Stunning job.
The new format, as I was one of likely many to suggest it after last week’s fiasco, love it.
Spraying a color palette of speed forms before committing to spraying a whole car will help all of us learn what will and won’t work far more efficiently; and Spare our eyes the suffering of looking at a disaster like last week’s project.
Love the use of the different base colors that offers an idea of how the pigments will respond to the color - great end result, the blue was definitely the right choice for the base with this one
I love this new idea! Seeing it on all the bases first gives everyone a perfect idea of how it could look full scale, with a full scale preview on top of that! 5 out of 5 and I really like this new idea with showing it over all of the bases first. 👍🏽
Blue was definitely the right choice. I love how this color shift is red to green, so the blue bleeds into both sides creating a full spectrum with purples and teals
5 pigment load perfect for max effect! You see all the colors the hyper shift has to offer and the base bleeds through great! I also noticed the white sample looked more mother of pearl then the mother of pearl in did in on of your recent videos! If you were looking for that mother of pearl look, this over white is definitely the way to go!
First, THANK YOU for showing the speed shapes with different bases! I've wanted this for a long time and it's so helpful. Secondly, I think the funniest line I've heard from Fonzi in all the years I've been watching was, "Scream at your phone or computer. I'll be able to hear you." :D And said so deadpan I almost believed him for a second!!

Pretty sick. I like the mimi-demo with the speed shapes. It let's you avoid combos that just won't work, while at the same time gives us an idea of what other combos might look like in case someone prefers something else.

I would love to see this format stick around for future videos. To make it easier on you, I'd suggest spraying a bulk number of speed shapes in each color, then every week spray one of each with the pearl of the week and pick one to go full scale.
Why haven't you guys done all your videos like this. Seeing an example then picking the best base will always yield better results. Thanks for showing us this whole process. Please continue with the sample base colors!
This is an 11/5! I think this might actually be my favorite combination that I've seen on this channel so far. I'm absolutely in love with the new flaky holo that you've just gotten a well. I think it would be really fun to play with the hypershifts and holos together, but not as just one overall coat; instead, do some accents of holo (stripes or something) over an overall coat of hypershift, or something like that.

For the final result, I give it a 5/5. For the new format with speed shapes I give it a 10/5. Showing us what it looks like over different colors is a fantastic move. Knowing what the difference is between black and blue base means we can make better and more informed decisions about what we want our flail look to be. Thanks for doing them!

1.) As otheres stated, it's a good idea to show what it would look like on other colours, would include Yellow base as well, as no one wants a DIY project or spend money to "experiment" and if you're already doing this, you could easily add it to your website for potential customers to estimate what that would look like on their car.
2.) That was a crazy shift, especially getting hit with the green and yellow shifts when you're solely focused on the blue/purple change.
