This was so similar to my idea for an orchard but I'm so bad at terraforming so I learned a lot from you. I originally was going to do a large two tier semi circle neighborhood with every two hours sharing a garden courtyard with flowers and trees. That way I'd have a place for all generation 1 flowers and also the fruit trees without taking a chunk out of my island. But then I got hooked on the orchard idea that I want to couple with a farm area. I make a dirt path garden square that's fenced in for my turnips every week. So i'll have houses set into the cliffsides of the orchard and some around the farm as well. Thanks for the tips :)

Just a heads up about filling all of your grass spaces, if you don’t leave some spaces free then rare mushrooms won’t be able to spawn in November :)

You are so creative! I am watching this playlist and am learning so many things I just never thought to try! Diagonal bridges? Houses on beaches while you build? Corner curved waterfalls? I never even tried and I am using custom paths with over 300 hours. How did I just gloss over so many awesome ideas? Thank you for being chill and amazing.

You can also terraform over holes when getting rid of a cliff so you can just keep the hole that you dug up the flowers from!!

watching old lost falls builds for the nostalgia (yes i know this was only 5 months ago, but it feels like years 😂)
Speed builds make me kinda dizzy but I watched the whole thing anyway because it was that nice. I can't believe it's never occurred to me to put the trees in last omg I'm forever ripping them up cause I can't see what I'm doing 😅 My fave fruit is peaches too! They look so cute in the autumn-y forestcore of my island. 😊

I actually don't have the recipe yet. I crafted hedges on my other island and sent them to Lost Falls in the mail 😂😂 and thank you so much :')
you can get the hedges diy if you keep buying bushes from leif and he’ll give you the diy, I found that out when I restarted my island

I have a quick question. Is it better in your opinion or from your experience to completely flatten an island, partially flatten or just work as you go along? Sorry if this is a weird question, feel free to ignore!
I'm glad you enjoy them! personally, I don't have the patience to flatten an island. If I have a complete island, I just restart, and if I have a new island, I edit the natural rivers and cliffs as I go :) It seems less intimidating than a totally blank canvas, but you just gotta figure out what works best for you
