Sounds like D4 is ready for launch! Lets go boys 😎
I'll wait a couple more years...maybe by then it will be fun. Of course, you will have to buy 2-3 expansions, so I guess I won't.
Thanks for the diagram Asmon - Look forward to the reaction video Ha-ha. Love the content DM!
I’m just having fun killing things Lol
Yea basically.
Simple guy right there
People overthink their video games too much nowdays, they forgot to have fun. same here
@@joelhodoborgasagreed
DM: Diablo IV got a BBL.
Me: 😲
I installed it, got to level 20 or so then decided nah, I’m done with ATVI games
I’m seriously curious what the focus and value proposition of the yearly expansions will be for this game. New class and storyline per expansion… endgame systems? The vision is very unclear at the moment.
New horse armors
Took them a year to fix their game, and its still just as pointless feeling to play. Ive tried playing season 4 on three seperate occasions and have fallen asleep in my chair due to boredom every time.
I hit the final down swing at level 40 because i realized I'm leveling up to do the same content i did 2 leagues ago. S4 is an improvement to alot of things but it's still got a ways to go
Problem is this change really is only an illusory effect. They've basically squished and trivialized leveling for a short-term feel good sense of progression that will fade just as quick once players start grinding the new progression wall. The litany of fundamental problems the game has are still there.
For example, Blizzard's solution for content is just to fall back on the same mistakes as D3 and use scaling for difficultly, but that ends up violating the power fantasy behind character building. In D4 you feel like a god almost immediately and then as you progress farther and farther it turns into losing arms race against number inflation until the character struggles to kill the same monsters it was crushing at level 50.
Okay what is the solution though? The reverse doesn’t make for a good game either. Having a game just get easier and easier is a terrible idea.
@@tyg-zw7nnI don't think enemy scaling is an issue in regards to how much damage the player puts out. Right now I'm full clearing mobs that are 15 levels above me.
The issue is more that our survivability gets nerfed so hard that you get to a point where you can one shot enemies 10 levels higher than you, but one hit will kill you instantly. It's pretty frustrating that they just artificially raise the difficulty by nerfing the player.
@@tyg-zw7nn Diablo 2 solved that some 25 years ago. You reroll a new character for a specific purpose, or you duel. Both provide tons of hours of gameplay. And people still play that.
@@samuelhakansson6680 Truth. PVP is dope and no PVP player bitches about the existence of PVE. PVE players are whining a lot in comparison. Also Dark Souls is one of the games where at the end you trivialize a lot of stuff. A lot of RPGs actually do that.
@@samuelhakansson6680yeah and PvP is what kept all types of players around. The mainly PvE players could trade the extra gear they found to pvp players needing it for their build, ladder runewords ensured it was always worth it to play some ladder to make runewords (or d2jsp gold lmao) to gear your NL pvp characters.
Seasons the way D3/D4 do them makes playing non-season characters feel really pointless. In turns, it means being basically forced to restart every time, because anyway you won't find anyone to pvp with in the forgotten realms.
Dam bro farming the shit outta this D4 season 😂
'They cut the fat out of the stomach and put it on the ass' it made me laugh, the best and most accurate analogy.
I think im a minority, but they ruined early game for me. Did 1 helltide got from 1 to 17, did second helltide leveled to 28. Did my golem quest and went to WT3 did 1 helltide got lvl 39 went to WT4. The speed of leveling is insane as well as powercreep i have no enjoyment in leveling now. Spending 10 skill points at a time and runing with gear that is 10 lvls or more behind your level is BS. You showing this graph like enjoyment time is longer. Bit actuality time you have is cut by 75%.
The loot hunt still sucks. It went from an obnoxious boring loot system to a more streamlined boring loot system.
These s4 changes are definitely an improvement but the foundations of d4 are just not very interesting past a very short play time.
It's very polished superficially but it's probably the least interesting gameplay of any arpg I've tried. There's a saying about turds and polish that's applicable here, but at least now there's quality of life in the game so it's gone up to 6/10.
I'm really struggling to find much fun, leveling is so braindead now but even getting to 70 with half the time and effort I find myself exhausted by the experience. At this point I think it's probably just not for me but I'm glad for the people that dig it. I guess I just can't believe after all this work were just right back to effectively playing D3.
Agreed, their initial design philosophy was to have D4 be more methodical, tactical and slower paced. But because the vocal ARPG no-lifers kept complaining about not feeling powerful enough and not zoomies enough like every other game in the genre, they gave in and gave more power and zooms. Now D4 plays just like visual vomit ARPG that came before it. Really disappointing.
Imagine thinking blasting helltides for 1-100 makes the game “better” somehow.
The community and the devs deserve each other.
The game is a mindless mess now but hey at least crafting and itemization is slightly better.
I still prefer Last Epoch and Grim Dawn but I will get a max level character this season, its is much quicker now, the gear is more solid but still most of it is meaningless save for mats. I do love helltides now.
no one play those 2 now
@@troll3497 Millions of people do.
@@troll3497I played Grim dawn for the first time this year it goes super hard. I honestly think I just don’t like arpgs as much as I thought I did since helldivers 2 and remnant 2 have been my favorite games to play overall this year.
Yeah exactly I also prefer LE and Grim Dawn, but I am finally enjoying D4 for the first time since my first campaign run haha . It feels like some people think you have to be married to a single ARPG. You're allowed to play multiple and even still prefer certain ones over the others 😮
@@minuette1752 "millions" of people, lmao nice copium dude
I would argue it even climbs more as soon as you start masterworking, finding GA gear etc. The dopamin hits i got when dropping GA2 or GA3 gear were really nice.
Bro this game is awful, but it gets a ton of coverage for streamers on twitch and RUclips
I like it for just spacing out and relaxing after work, when i want mire depth i go play PoE. They both have their role
While he wears a Last Epoch sweatshirt
I enjoy the fat endgame, for me personally the grind to say lvl 100 and getting the gear is relatively easy. Theres no real chase items and the biggest grossest mistake in D4, nightmare dungeons and the lack of variety on affixes there and how the affixes are poorly implemented. From lvl 1 to 100 is identical its a retarded blunder to leave that much potential to waste away. Like guys just somewhat copy path of exile map rolling. Have them seperated per tiers of 10 every 10 levels, more affixes can roll on nightmare dungeons, lvl 100 should have some uber bosses. Theyre also just eliminating grind so eventually i assume this game devolves into diablo 3 complexity and is mentally stale. I get it some of you guys like that shit. I liked d3 infinitely more as the vanilla version. I even beat it pre patch 1.03. But hey complexity and depth is what keeps me coming back to a certain few games
I'm pretty casual but I find myself coming back to it lately after giving up early season 1... can't say it's good but it's definitely scratching an itch
Have a physical copy of the game, and played latest season for like 2 hours.
They sped up progression, made items less nonsensical, and added activity variety. Does this mean D4 is suddenly perfect? No. But at this point there's no denying that these are meaningful improvements. Is it good enough to save D4? Not sure. But it will probably buy it the time to get to the expansion. Who knows what comes then?
Still think the devs saved the game for the most part. Getting glyph exp is still a major pain. Did two characters to 21 and it is a lot of time and work. They polished a problem game. Will it be enough? Not sure but it should carry to the next expansion which will definitely decide if it will survive.
Talk about the ninja nerfs and undocumented changes.
Now if they would change the "cant see shit because the floor is covered in damage AOE"
LAUGHS IN POE
That’s the only reason I can’t play this game. I feel like I can’t see what I’m doing at times.
Made it to T3 a few weeks after release and just dropped it. Burned out so hard on D4, the end-game was just not worth it.
Basically play the same stuff just faster? Idk how long that will be fun for
$10 a month on console.for live service. Wait 2 years then buy it
I wouldnt say its good. Better? Definitely but there's far better arpgs out there
They took out the fat from the stomach and put it in the ass. Brilliant 😂 and yet accurate.
I don’t think the game will be playable until you can make a holy shock holy shield zealadin
Great video
nah....not to me. This game needs much more interesting things and itens.
This is spot on, it will provide some reasonable short term enjoyment maybe 2 possibly 3 weeks of enjoyment for some. They essentially created Diablo 3 : Loot Reborn
Diablo 4: Diablo 3 reborn
Like d3 I have to play d4 hardcore to keep any interest.
Sounds like the game is finally ready to enter closed beta
It will never be better then the first and second beta....
They just fixed the leveling curve speed while keeping it as boring as it was, zero challenge to overcome at key points. Cap dungeons are a joke.
I approximate most people playing the season will be done with it around 40-60h, if not less. For me, that's two weeks at most.
It's on the right track, but there is still a lot of meaningful content to add.
Honestly, same issue as D3. But then maybe people just want D3 with prettier graphics...
To better understand this could you tell me where the fat come from and went too ?
pretty accurate I'd say, only difference i'd say is there is no increase at the beginning, it's flat lined all the way to the point you do nightmare/pit/ubers
Next season we will further approach D3 levelling speeds, 1 hour or less speed runs from 1-100 lol
I tried, but I immediately got bored.
The main reason I stopped D4 was:
The stats. The stats were just weird. The amount of stuff you had to go through to find something good was just plain annoying, i've heard they've fixed that but I'm not sure.
The grind. I pretty much quit with the first downtime dip because it just felt like such a slog and wasn't enjoyable at all.
Been hearing that both of these have been mostly fixed and I've got nothing better to do so maybe I'll give it a shot again.
its definitely in the right 👉 👉 direction
I enjoy playing this d4 more than the other games. I think ppl just like to complain. You make great videos I enjoy them as well!
Exactly!!!
same
You're right there's no valid opinions on the game, ppl just like to complain. What are they thinking
It's okay to complain if you dislike something, but too often it falls into whining, just meaningless repetitive whining over the same things, it's dumb. That's the actual issue, not the complaints.
Maybe a hot take… I actually didn’t like how they sped up the progression. I don’t actually mind the journey leveling to 100 in the previous seasons. My main problem was itemization and lack of stash. These two problems were now both solved, and to me that’s enough for me to enjoy the leveling journey, but they made us way to powerful and the journey became too easy and too short. I wasn’t even trying, and I’m already level 70 without running any NMD.
In short, the system changes were awesome, but the difficulty of the journey to end game was too low. I can’t speak for the Pit as I’m not there yet.
They want you to get to the Pit asap thats the journey this season, doest seem to be a super hot take but some people prefer it too (especially if you like rolling alts)
@@brennanlesuer2760 I'll reevaluate after trying out the Pit. At this rate leveling rate, I should be there by tomorrow lol.
Please keep in mind that the goal is not to hit lvl 100. The goal is to maximize the capabilities of the character which keeps happening long after 100. Don’t look at the lvl, look at what your character would be with perfect skills, paragon and equipment. Where are you on that path?
DM can you maybe consider uploading videos in a higher quality than 1080p as well? even for people who usually dont watch on a 4k screen (like myself), the 4k resolution option on YT is great bc you get a way higher bitrate. The video looks so much better when using the 4k quality option, regardless if you drive a 1080p, 1440p or 4k screen.
Maybe you can think about it. This is also something that should have happened on Asmongolds channel since a long time, it increases the experience A LOT.
So, still not worth playing, got it.
Game is much more enjoyable
TLDR: still no reason to play
Game feels the same. Boring.
Change clothes put on some perfume but your still the same person when you go out.Thats what Loot Reborn is...
whats gonna happen now that we can one shot everything is people are gonna burn through the content fast and quit also still no ladders in diablo 4 so makes it pointles
The game almost feels flipped from where it was at launch.
At launch leveling felt like best part of the game, then once you got to around level 80 the game got stale.
Now the early leveling is annoying but quick. Then past level 70-80 the game feels like it's at it's best
I expect season 4 to be better than previous. It seems like every other season is the theme. The real Testament for diablo to be good/great. Season 5 needs to continue the step in the right direction.
Why even make people level at this point. Just give everyone a lvl 100 character. The problem with this game and most games now are that they have no challenge. Everyone complains about all the hard parts so devs take the challenge out and try to give rewards as much as possible to the casual. If you only get rewards then the experience is ruined bcause it becomes boring and you having nothing to work towards. It’s the rule of scarcity: the more you have of one thing reduces the value of another thing. Constant rewards and loot plus easy gameplay makes the game pointless. Why look for top gear when you can barely ever die except for the high end pit runs. What’s the point of fighting anything else throughout the world. The leveling system is meaningless just to get to end game where you run basically the same gear and stats as every other player minus a few percentages you get from masterworking. Even the gear you find is pointless because you have no sense of accomplishment when you’re wearing it. People like to feel some form of bragging rights when they get a good drop but everyone you see is just running around transmogged from the beginning. So why make people level or find gear when the entire point of the game is to meaninglessly blast an inflated game.
I would so love to have new classes to play with, not just one, several... paladin, monk, demon hunter... some other magic class... not just more of the same for 4 seasons
Blizzard wont give you free new class every season. They will add new class every expansion. its a big work and not gonna happen for free bro
give blizzard 40$ then you can have your new class
@@lashaxoperia5917 not saying it should be for free ofc... new classes would be a good reason to pay and many players would actually return to try them out
A class is a ton of work. If you got a new class every season they would suck.
DM, you know that everyone will meme the shit out of your "fat to ass" portion? 😀
Make wt5 so it's hard at end game.
When someone reached hell on d2 it was a massive challenge compared to the previous difficulty and overcoming killing the first monster you come on contact with set the bar moving forward. It was fun
Yes 🥺
Dont play the game.
it's alright. definitely a better experience than day one in terms of content variety. Love the helltide changes and addition. Nightmare dungeons are pretty freaking stale and should be looked at.... looking for something a bit more dynamic happening inside of them. Pit is cool for now. Gauntless is interesting. Build variety needs some work....I'm going to wait for the first expansion to see if they add new skills or anything along with a new class before I do a big ass write up on why the game is dookie haha. Good fun.. I'll play for a week or so more and on to something else.
Isn't all arpg about grinding I play them all but never finish endgame as cannot be bothered to grind for hours and hours for 1 item of gear ..wish they would add loads more campaign storylines to get you invested more
Diablo 3 at least let you run through the story at higher difficulty tiers as an option to xp grind. I would love to play through the d4 story at level 70 or something
d4 still shit
Diablo 4 is like trying to resuscitate a dying man using defibrillator.
I think it's cool. They finally have it as what they said it would be. It's fun running around in the overworld killing shit and then a mini boss spawns and then other players show up to help you for a bit and then you keep going. It's funny to me that "playing the game" is "boring" and people are waiting for more game to play...
Completely loving the changes and additions to the game. I am 100% happy that the grind is gone!!
Its to easy
@@HDGaminTutorials I am not a Try-Hard. So easy for you may equal fun for me and many others as well. We all enjoy our hobbies for what they bring to our lives. I hope you find something that brings you some enjoyment as well.
That's a sweet message I hope you gave a Good day the game is great there just needs to be some challenge ATLEAST the capstone dungeons should be harder the base game is fine
@HDGaminTutorials i don't play for difficulty, not this game at least. I go play poe for that but when im tried and jjst want to kill some things without thinking, its perfect (:
And that's fine for the base game but there has to be a middle ground somewhere having to wait to 100 and doing the pit to have any challenge isn't necessarily fun either
I gave the update a tray and the gameplay loop is still really boring… all the enemy types are recycled…. IMO POE, D2, and Grim Dawnis better….heck titan is year is still better than d4. D4 will never be a good game it’s just a interface sir battlepass and microtransactions sales
Wtf is up with them upping the level to put royal gems on your gear. I log in after months of not playing and my royal gems are no longer on my gear. The level 90 requirement to put royal gems on your gear is utterly stupid.
Hi. Can we please review the difficulty in s4? The game now feels like a sophisticated "Vampire survivors" with AOE flashes and effects. all just explodes. and all enemies just one shotted.
I have enjoyed diablo 4 all the way....because i am a casual player and real life just prevent me from playing more than 6 to 8 hours a week. if you get tired of playing the game at this point, i think it is because you powerplay it. Also it is a fun game to play while drunk, and i would never play Hardcore and have permanent death, what is the fun in that for a game where you are just having fun, and getting away from real life for a short while.
Does gold still matter in d4?
More important than ever, need so much and get so little. It’s the biggest bottleneck in the game for me so far at level 100 working on masterworking.
Look Diablo 4 is a solid game now. We got our solid base game with a decent endgame. Now we jus need endgame to the endgame lol. RAIDS CLAN RAIDS!
p2w
Then it was fun, now its super fun
To me the only part of season 4 I haven't enjoyed so far is the nightmare dungeon grind for glyph XP. I feel there needs to be another way to grind out glyph XP. All I want to do is grind out the helltide and I have to stop to level up my glyphs kinda sucks IMO
In diablo 3 you played seasonal for armor sets ect..Now im forced to make a new character for what reason?Make eternal characters matter and ill come back.
Season 4: Mc D4 - When you need a ARPG on the run. Will be kind of tasty, temporarily satisfying, but shortly after kind of still hungry and feeling a little unwell.
Which isn't a problem if you need that fix.
Pretty much going the d3 route at this point.
D2 > D3 > D4
Nobody asked
D2 sucks donkey dick. Nostalgia drives this opinion and literally nothing else.
D2 > D1 > D3 > Immortal > D4
D2 has problems tho your inventory was for charms and potions everything else sucked
So is the time at bottom of graph over a 12 hour period?
I guess it's alright. Not sure why I would play d4 instead of PoE or Last Epoch. Hell, even Torchlight Infinite felt more fun and had better mechanics.
I looked up how to upgrade gear then turned on my steamdeck to play last epoch
Torchlight isn't even shovelware
Last epoch is basically Diablo 4 with shittier graphics.
They have definitely improved the game since release, but like you say... PoE is the best ARPG on the market to which Diablo just doesn't achieve the same heights and maybe won't ever due to PoE having had support and content for 10+ years. Last epoch was great on my steam deck and easier to keep stable than PoE is at times... havnt tried diablo on my deck though.
@@sebastianwilliams2743 not at all. One skill in LE has more customisation than the entire d4 skill tree.
I'm definitely loving it. Much better. Leveling is better and faster. 💪🌪️
I think what they can do regarding endgame - add a mode where direct competition is placed on acquiring materials in a dungeon run for summoning world bosses(could maybe be coupled with pvp). So, you compete say against 10 other players(players that have more or less the same level in nightmare/pit dungeons and gear score so there is balance between the players) to acquire materials that gives you access to summon a world boss where the top 6 players in this dungeon run has access to the world boss fighting together. Defeating this boss can increase your amount of tempering or even gives battlepass gear(Still believe all rewards in battlepass must be placed in ingame activities that can be acquired by anyone in this type of game activity that is coupled with progression) This gives a sense of progression and competition to be the best and look the best and still be a partaker in such activities. Don’t know if such system is implemented-haven’t completed the game yet.
Improved yes but still too easy and too casual. Good for 2 weeks and off to another game.
D4 is much better than overhyped le..
really wonder how he came up with these lame video ideas
This poor guy just keeps beating a dead horse… DM it’s time to move on and open new doors.
After a few hours of playtime the base game feels identical. D4 still bad. Items reborn feels like a totally uninspired failure.
Not gunna lie its still bad, the game just isnt fun, i played on launch came back this season got to 80 and just could not be bothered logging in, somehow diablo 2 is still more fun lollll, or overwatch or many other games id rather play
Nobody cares if you still think it’s bad people are having fun let them

There's no need to drag out leveling it's a waste of time. That's why people just power leveled d3 and it was fine
