It's been researched that 2 people who have been friends for 5 years or more will most likely remain friends forever. Kandi and Phaedra didn't hit the 5 year mark (they were friends for almost 4 years), but their friendship shouldn't have ended over initial miscommunication. This all started when Kandi didn't reach out to Phaedra after her split from Apollo, but that was only because Phaedra was already at the time hooking up with Jamal Bryant (A.K.A Mr. Chocolate). However, what truly got the feud rolling was when Apollo had his stuff hidden and stored at Kandi and Todd's house, but neither one told Phaedra. Todd took the initiative to help Apollo with that, while Kandi stayed silent. Phaedra took it as a sign of betrayal on Kandi's part and to a lesser extent Todd, since she refused to pay him back. I honestly feel had they made up officially after this scene, their friendship would be repaired. However, after Phaedra's nasty comments about Todd ''getting allowances from Kandi'', Mama Joyce stating she wouldn't piss on Phaedra if she was on fire, and most of all, Phaedra getting Porsha to do the rest of her dirty work by lying on Kandi and Todd wanting to rape Porsha. The friendship was permanently cancelled. A shame really because I can tell they were actual friends outside of the show, not just for a storyline.

Kandi was very insensitive in this situation towards Phaedra. I'm hurt that she was able to just go cold on Phaedra like she did and that's what led to Phaedra trying to hurt her back. Both ladies are wrong and should just sit down and have a heart to heart hug and move on.

What broke the friendship up was, Todd being friends with Apollo and pressuring Kandi to charge Phaedra. What happened with their relationship is, their men getting involved. Both crossed boundaries and both were hurt but you can tell they truly loved one another. My theory is, people usually love you from the beginning and take a liking to you, due to having positive transference and or they have negative transference towards you and they dislike you no matter what defense they use to mask it. It's really fucking sick that til this day Kandi takes 0 accountability. She was mad that Phaedra said she felt like Nene was the most supportive and that she expected Kandi to be. That shit wasn't even bad like she made it out to be.

It's been researched that 2 people who have been friends for 5 years or more will most likely remain friends forever. Kandi and Phaedra didn't hit the 5 year mark (they were friends for almost 4 years), but their friendship shouldn't have ended over initial miscommunication. This all started when Kandi didn't reach out to Phaedra after her split from Apollo, but that was only because Phaedra was already at the time hooking up with Jamal Bryant (A.K.A Mr. Chocolate). However, what truly got the feud rolling was when Apollo had his stuff hidden and stored at Kandi and Todd's house, but neither one told Phaedra. Todd took the initiative to help Apollo with that, while Kandi stayed silent. Phaedra took it as a sign of betrayal on Kandi's part and to a lesser extent Todd, since she refused to pay him back.
I honestly feel had they made up officially after this scene, their friendship would be repaired. However, after Phaedra's nasty comments about Todd ''getting allowances from Kandi'', Mama Joyce stating she wouldn't piss on Phaedra if she was on fire, and most of all, Phaedra getting Porsha to do the rest of her dirty work by lying on Kandi and Todd wanting to rape Porsha. The friendship was permanently cancelled. A shame really because I can tell they were actual friends outside of the show, not just for a storyline.

I think Kandi held back because it was on the show, but her anger tells me she knew more about Phaedra and Apollo, but Phaedra did a lot of “acting” on TV, leaving Kandi to look bad. Kandi had to clear up her own character without going too far and throwing Phaedra completely under the bus.
