Although I've had this one planned for a few months now, I ended up playing (mostly) through Celeste about a month ago. The soundtrack is beautiful, and I really came to appreciate this song even more after hearing it during the part of the stage it plays in.
This was another hot request from you all, placing at #8 overall song in the 2020 GaMetal Song Ballot and making Celeste the #7 most requested new (to GaMetal) series.

Everything about this from the heya to the addition of the B-Side version's riffs to glitching to even how the distortion at the end during the solo is identical to the distortion that happens when you hit Badeline during the fight is amazing.
The music is total fire, but are we going to talk about the gameplay. A Golden Strawberry run which looks to be a speedrun. jesus

This was one of the best songs in the game. Right as the song started playing, I instantly knew things got real. And it definitely did a good job portraying that this wasn't something you could just leave alone, hence the name, "Confronting Myself." This does just as much of a good job, maybe better.
Of all the Celeste songs, I did not expect this one (I was more expecting Reach for the Summit). Still a very welcome song.
I wouldnt be bothered if he did reach for the summit instead, both of these tracks were my favorites out of the OST
Personally, I don’t think Reach For The Summit fits GaMetal’s style much. They do metal covers of game’s soundtracks, and things don’t get metaler than fighting your own inner demons with kamahamahas. Though, I would love to see a Reach For The Summit from them too, I’m just a big fan of Confronting Myself.

@@SteelCrustacean First off: that's just straight up wrong. I mean, I guess it depends what you consider to be "atmospheric", but by my estimation less than half the OST is atmospheric tracks. Second, and more importantly: the heck is wrong with atmospheric tracks?
@@Gorfinhofin I meant BotW's Soundtrack, and I personally don't dislike atmospheric music. I like that kind of music when I'm playing a game with atmosphere, I just wouldn't listen to it on a daily basis. I like the JAMS, which I haven't heard much of in BotW.

@@SteelCrustacean Ohh, okay. I get you now. Yeah, most of BotW's soundtrack isn't much to listen to on its own. I think Celeste manages to have atmospheric tracks that also happen to be JAMS. There are only a few that I don't particularly enjoy listening to.
You see, you've got the gamers who play games the whole way through, or those who speed run games, which i imagine is really hard to do on Celeste. But then you got the EPIC GAMERS, like my mans over here making these absolutely sick remixes to already sick tracks.
We have a mod in the discord who speedruns this game so I was immediately excited for the footage as soon as this got pulled

This is easily the best song from the OST to adapt to this style. It sounded fantastic!
Been eagerly awaiting this cover ever since voting for it in the ballot and especially since the teaser at the end of Life Will Change and, oh my god. this is everything i hoped it would be and so much more; everything about how this was done and all the details/execution were SO flawless and i cant wait to listen to it a thousand more times. Thank you for possibly the most moving Gametal yet!!
If Nintendo ever wanted to add Madeline to a new Smash Bros game, they would probably either use this as a guide for the music or just straight up ask you for this. This was an amazing recreation of one of my most favorite songs ever!
The ONLY ring fit fan boy here, and I STILL want to get that final boss theme from Ring fit adventure. Like seriously everyone say that this game has good songs but this song is SPECIALLY underated because alot less people actually finish the base game... Also it has a good Darkest lord from Miitopia vibe with multiple sections and all of that, I really hope you'll cover it one day
people who didn't get to the boss battle (technically a chase scene) are really missing out, and are also not epic gamers, like my mans over here making these sick remixes of already sick tracks.

ChaoticMeatball hope you enjoy it. Its a beautiful story about a girl overcoming her mental health issues by climbing a mountain.
Its super hard, but the climb is worth the effort...
Grand Azel and if its hard you can use the games “assist mode”. It is encouraged by the developers to use it if you have trouble, that way you dont get frustrated and enjoy the ride.
It’s an incredible game with simple controls and mechanics that are explored to a level of deepness that is fun, fair, and exhilarating, with a spectacular soundtrack and story to accompany it.
It’s really a game where everything comes together so perfectly and makes it into an unforgettable experience.
Sorry if it sounds like I’m hyping it up too much, but it honestly is deserving of all its accolades.

I never appreciated the Celeste soundtrack until I just listened to it on it's own. I mean obviously while playing it's probably very difficult to pay attention to anything but the gameplay, but even watching playthroughs it didn't strike me how incredible the OST was.

I've been a bit of a lurker and have silently listened to each your new remixes for the last year or two, and each one is always a great piece, but until today I've never clicked on one of your videos so fast. This is some of your best work so far and absolutely does this already amazing piece justice.
If your interested in making more Celeste remixes, I think the next best candidate would be the track "Farewell".

Celeste has such a fantastic soundtrack (there are actually at least 5 Celeste songs I prefer over Confronting Myself, but this one definitely fits the metal genre best, so good choice)

When the guitars kicked in I felt that. I didn't realize a conversion to the metal genre would work so well for this piece. The guitar wailing during the main climb/ascension leitmotif is probably my favorite part.
