why did you say "Do they have UCL level?" What do you mean by "UCL level"? which teams do you think that they have "UCL level"? Barca is not a favorite like Liverpool but still a contender. Barca may have flaws but it has stars who can decide the fate of the match. In this match Busquet was a star who pass that accurate through ball to Semedo. Napoli is not weak. They beated Liverpool. Barca have flank attack but it's often executed by speedy fullback or winger. The injury of Dembele, Alba didn't help. Fati is not mature enough. Vidal is not fast enough to play winger.
3:15 You said that Napoli defended in a narrow shape, and that the field seemed narrower. With that little space in midfield Messi still managed to dribble 4 times in first half ( 8 through out the match, a very big figure ) and you said he didn't nothing special? How many players did that against this Napoli in San Paolo? .
stop talking about valverde's barca! it doesn't exist anymore! and by the way, quiqe setien is less reassuring than valverde to be honest. Barcelona have lost their identity as the tika taka club and that's final. :-/
@@thefootballplanet5784 because they copied Reals former transfer policy better known as Galacticos era policy in Catalan.. They buy high priced players but do not care if they are suitable at all which gives setien/coach no choice and play fucking Griezmann and Vidal on the wings
It was in the away UCL group game against Inter last season (2018-9) -- during Messi's injury. An incredible pressing performance that game. They never seemed to try it again.
In my opinion you forgot to say that - Barça's goal came from a not sanctioned foul on Insigne, so they didn't produce any clear chance at all actually - after the draw, Napoli had two big chances because they started being much more aggressive and this could have been a tactical key Great job, keep analysing!
Problem is Barca hasnt the players. They havent a winger or a midfielder who isnt deep. It would be nice if you could answer these question in the end of the video!
They need quick wingers , barca mostly exploit the middle with quick passing but can only exploit wide with their fullbacks mainly alba and semedo, firpo was poor, dembele keeps getting injured and fati is too young, the gnarbry type of winger is what they should be looking for
@@kairihd3521 Aggree 99%, I dont think that Gnabry is the right one but tbh we need wingers. and a variable midfield. We just have controlling or deeper midfielders you cant play in a half room with players like fdj they arent the type of player
@@999-p3o I didn't say gnarbry, I said a player with his kind of attributes and if we get winger messi can become an attacking midfielder which he already is sometimes
Kairi HD Messi will be one of the front three playing as a 10 its normal since 2016. And that isnt a problem you can play him also as a false 9 and he is doing his job. We just need a winger who can play outside, he doesnt need to be fast but he has to be good in a thinner space, technically gifted and can play in a half space and obviously on the wing
Kairi HD We need toooo much really. We need better players for pur midfield, Todibo has to come back like Alena and variable players upfront. The board is terrible, our attacking players are 3 central attackers and one winger, our midfield is the worst. The names are sensational but all of them are deeper CMs or at least not a traditional 8
Great analysis PF, it's almost shameful how Barca attackers don't make runs w/out the ball in this day and age, on a k.o. UCL game! If they keep that lethargy up Napoli truly have a chance to impose them yet another Camp Nou failure in the european stage. Oh! And great guitar music too...
What gonna happen when messi is gone .I think Barcelona is up for a few years rebuilding ,I got the feeling the results won't be there for some seasons in a row ,real Madrid did a better job ,building a strong team ,less dependent on Ronaldo or a big star .zidane must stay ,the next seasons will be keystone for both real Madrid and Barcelona ,I think zidane is the man in madrid .barcelona need changes maybe even a knew president ,but they can't keep going like that ,they are loosing their indentity little by little ,also messi eventually will start aging .I'm really surprised no one seems to realise the gravity of the situation . it is just my personal opinion. Great chanel ,big respect ,and great content thank you piotr . football is a game a science ,it is not only about money ,stars and transfer fees ,you remind me why I like the game in the first place ,the strategical aspect of the game is the game itself. 👍
I'm a barca fan but genuinely think barca aren't going to win the CL this season. Dembele and suarez (two important players were injured) we can't get near to penalty box and score some real goals ffs. Also, midfielders aren't creative to create some real chances
True, xavi and iniesta were irreplaceable but we could get a player at least who knows to play barca football. Bartomeu and the board ruined barca by buying wrong players. I would take an example Vidal is a great player. Hes a warrior. His work rate on the pitch is incredible but he's not playing the way our midfielders supposed to be.
As you probably realised- the reason for little to no wing passes and crosses was because of the lack of wingers in Barcelona FC... All they need is a left winger along side Dembele!
Junior Firpo is easily one of the worst LB I ever saw. He needs to evolve a lot if he wants to be up to the task, but I don't think Barcelona is the right place to evolve as a player. Barcelona left flank is absolutely dead.
Dude Napoli center backs are huge and that compact formation crossing is never the right choice, it's patience wait for them to make a mistake, everyone does

One of the worst and silliest analysis I've ever watched, 90% of the vedio decrediting barca, you ought to realize that Barca's pressing and amazing ball retention is forcing opponents to play deep, an open game against barca would lead to barca demolishing other teams. Recent defeats have only been due to counters as teams have no better way of containing setiens barca, you just sit deep, I wouldn't give much credit to Napoli though. When making a vedio focus's on the pro's and cons of both teams not this shit
Idk what vedio is lmao. In conclusion Napoli left so much space for Barca to exploit it and they didn’t. Griezmann needs to work on his movements and stop looking at Messi when he has the ball. Yeah pressing has improved but it doesn’t matter if your not attacking the space the opponent is giving once you recovered the ball.
Discredit Barça?! Man I'm a Barça fan too and I agree with what he said! Our saving grace is the 1 away goal! At one point Frenkie had the ball and zipped to the opposite goal and none was there to pass the ball, no Messi because he was playing so deep. Are we at the UCL level, no we aren't!
