PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING. As we mentioned in the video we fitted this during quarantine after returning from the EU. So this install isn’t 100% completed and more parts are on order to weather proof everything, make the pump quieter, protect the hole in the floor, protect the air intake and heat wrap the exhaust pipe, amongst other items. We said we’d follow up this install in a future video, and we’ll do exactly that. Thanks 👍🏻😁
It’s because we love you that we feel the need to help with trick and tips for your health and well-being and comfort, you’ve been giving us tricks and tips for years, we like to respond likewise ..we do love you, please continue.
Nice install, this heaters are great, have one of 5kw in my Transit connect! To silence the pump, just suspend it with cable ties, makes a big difference! :-D
Hi you could buy a silencer for the room air intake. About the pump ticking. There is also a more silent pump from Autotherm. I would wanted to ask why you didn’t go for the fuel from the main tank. But the red diesel explains it. And the position on the door helps with spilling. Absolutely brilliant position.
Well that saved me asking question re an upgraded turret plate lol 👍🏻 Haha sound like I know what I’m taking about but it’s only because Darren has told me what I had to order for us lol. Hopefully get ours fitted in the next week or so, weather permitting. Hope I’ve both warmer now, useful video thanks guys 👍🏻
I fitted one to my Vivaro last year, just a couple of tip for watchers. If your running the fuel hose under your van, run it through garden hose then the sub frame / chassis this will stop rub on the fuel hose. I used a step drill to cut through the floor. You can use a mount for fitting the heater through the floor which cuts down the problem of melting your motor home installation. Finally prior to turning off, run it at about 23° for 1min this helps to clear the soot from the heater.
These heaters are brilliant, had mine for nearly 3 years and it's kept me warm at minus 10 in Scottish winters. No problems with it, although I think some have had problems with sooting up inside the heater caused by running at too low a setting. Easy to strip and clean though.
Yaay, my husband Alastair fitted our diesel heater whilst converting our van back in winter 2019. It's been so cosy and enabling us to use the van all winter (apart from now we're back in lockdown 😢) He was so impressed with it he fitted one in his garden shed 😁
This is what I use in my van. I use heating oil (kero28). It's not common but some petrol stations in rural areas have a pump with it, about 40p per litre right now. Another great video, thank you.
Yeah it's not common. I can tell you my most local one in North Devon and the one I use when I'm working in North Kent. There will always be one in an area that houses use heating oil because it's very easy to lose track of what you have, run out and then need to top up in an emergency because your family is complaining about cold baths. Guess how I know 😂. If people have oil tanks in their gardens then ask where they get their top-up when they run out. You get a lovely clean burn with Kero. Your heater will last forever. Thanks for all your technical tips. They have helped me on many occasions.
Educational and informative as always thank you. Two bits of kit that may help others with a similar install: You can get something called a “diesel heater turret plate” that safely passes the external pipes through an insulated floor (and makes sealing the hole you’ve cut a lot easier too), and one source of noise from the diesel pump is through the diesel liquid itself in the feed pipe so they make a damper that looks like a grey mushroom - search for “heater fuel dosing pump damper kit”. Stay safe, and warm of course 🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy all your video's , I fitted same heater in our campervan 2 weeks ago and we top rated them and I'm pleased after watching your video how to program it we have just been turning on and off thank you take care
We have an eberspacher fitted in our camper... without a doubt .. it is our favourite item in the van. Ours is heating only and not water too. Diesel heating is definitely the way to go ...
A great video so thanks for that. I helped fit one to a friends van and we put the fuel supply pipe through the cap, this reduces the chance of a leak from drilling into the bottom of the tank, and fitting the supplied outlet. It all works perfectly, the cap will need a vent or screw it down lightly. It looks as though you have that ridged fuel line which is great, they don't always seem to come with that so you have to purchase that separately.
I've installed 8 of these around a static caravan park and people love them especially when there making a great saving on the electric @ 25p per Kw 🙄compared to purchasing kerosene at 60p ltr. My top tip... To help prevent the annoying clicking sound in the van; try replacing the fuel inline pipe from the pump into the base of the heater with a softer compound pipe. I learnt this from one heater supplied with a green pipe but with different clips. The noise seems to travel inside the pipe from the pump into the heating chamber. My 2nd tip... be careful where you mount the fuel tank as in summer the fuel gives off gas and will leak into your living/sleeping area making it stinky 😷
We’ve waiting for some better fuel pipe to be delivered so hopefully that’ll help with the click, by summer we’ll have this tapped into our main diesel tank which will be better 😁👍🏻
Hi John and Mandy you laying underneath the vehicle brought back memories when I left school. I told the woodwork teacher I had a motor mechanic apprenticeship he said what on earth do want to do that laying in a cold damp draughty workshop he was right lol take care thanks for sharing 👍👍
John & Mandy on Tour Yes he was but no regrets, strange though some forty odd years later I've started wood turning and making other things out wood. ATB
I cut a big hole, probably twice the size of yours and used a plywood plate to mount mine. This gave additional clearance for the exhaust. Mine is a "5KW" and the exhaust glows cherry red on full bore. The ducting insulation is a good idea, I used exhaust wrap on mine. I would keep an eye on the insulation in case its starts to melt. Another great vlog
Excellent installation guys. Just a little tip If you used the hard plastic fuel filter that came with the heater.... replace it as soon as possible as they crack and it will empty the contents of your tank all over your garage. (Ask me how I know 🙄)
I'd recommend putting a power switch on the screen controller, it will go very dim after a while and I'm sure you've found it quite bright in the night. Also keep an eye on the floor insulation, it's only eps foam so cant withstand much heat and the exhaust will easily exceed 200 during normal usage, exhaust wrap for motorbikes will solve this or you can get a "turret mount" to replace the plate . The troubleshooting Facebook group is a great resource as well. Cheers guys :)
Thanks Charlie, it’s an interim fit as it was going to go under the drivers seat so we bow need some extras for where it is which are on their way.. we use a really low tech solution of hanging flannel over the screen 😁😂
in my opinion you got the best control unit .. and the boxed heater with more comprehensive kit than usual can be had for £63 of ebay right now and it comes with fantastic instructions even reminding people it is a must to always face your exhaust down
Is a very good upgrade I love mine I only use kerosene/heating oil on it. It burns cleaner and avoid gunk up as red diesel has more oil and creates more fumes. Good video.
This is true and tends to be a lot cheaper. 60p ltr from most Narrowboat yards. I took one heater apart after 2 years of use and it was as clean as a whistle 👍
I’ve just fitted a stand alone heater in my single car garage workshop and it’s fantastic. My mate has removed his wood burner and also fitted one too. Great video as usual. Cheers Richie.
i live in a motorhome and ive got truma boiler i run on refillable lpg.. My day to day car/camper is a Peugeot Expert i've got a diesel heater in that. I thought it would be a right pain to put one in the motorhome but i didn't think of using the truma pipework ... go John you're a bloody genius... now lets see where i can actually put one lol x
Hi John and Mandy great to see you’ve sorted the heater great job well done great to see your both settled back in the uk and safe looking forward to Fridays vlog Steve b👍
Lovely calm no nonsense video guys 👍🏼 I’ve had one of these for over 2 yrs still in its box and have been worried about the install.. Worry no more me thinks.. Time to get the tool kit out 🧰 🚐💨
Hi both of you (and Cooper), C.J. came and fitted our diesel heater June time as we were intending to spend Nov/Dec in Scotland but that never happened. I thought of feeding th heat into the Truma pipes but was worried about pushing the heat wrong way through the Truma unit. I take it from your vid it would be ok fitted like that. We enjoyed you live the other night. Keep up the good work. Terry and Norma
I have one of these and its got to be the best thing I put in my conversion. They really are fantastic, and unbelievably cheap considering what they do.
Glad your heater worked without issue. I bought an identical one but have constant E-10 errors. Currently waiting for replacement parts which will hopefully fix the problems and get it running. If not then I may just buy another and keep my fingers crossed the 2nd one works. Great vid btw! 👍👌
Hi, after a year or so of using my diesel heater Ive collected the following snipets of interest. If you suspend the pump (mine hangs on about 2 inches of cable tie through the bolt hole in the rubber mount) its virtually silent. If you mostly run it at low outputs then the combustion chamber tends to soot up, so its worth giving it a blast regularly, and thirdly, they run happily on paraffin (or jet A1 if your rich enough!) and they don't tend to soot up as fast on paraffin. Hope Cooper enjoys his new heater :-)
Thanks Peter.. we’ve a few things underway to help with the pump, glad to know suspending it helps a lot 😁 First thing in the morning we have it on full to help blast the door and so it’s warm enough to get dressed 😊 Coop loves the new heater 👍🏻
Loving your Vlogs on all aspects of van life. It may be more difficult for you to source on the move but domestic heating oil is currently around 35 pence per litre and recently has been as low as 16p. Stay safe....and warm...
We got one few weeks ago the Chinese one. We put it in summer house as no heating up there and its great . Lovely warm now . We have night heater in the van thats great as well . . Told our mechanic we put one in summer house and got one for his work shed and he loves it as .Yes me with summer house 🤣🥰
That's belt and braces on the heating 👍🏻 great installation too, perfect space for it and I love the integration with the existing ducting. Friend of mine bought a stand alone version after seeing/feeling how good mine is in my van and put it in his workshop, loves it ! Great video guys 👍🏻
Good job mate. Try fitting diesel heater on a ribbed floor van no quite so simple. But nobody tells you (and its not in heater parameters booklet) that they don't work if one does not have correct voltage levels in your batteries, it will drain the batteries. Then you have a problem. Never use engine battery to power a diesel heater unless you run engine every day (as in a HGV).
Great video. Really useful to see how you fitted it. Having done a lot of research on the subject there are a number of options on RUclips, then the best way to reduce the ticking is to suspend the pump so that the noise is eliminated. Hope this helps
Ah yes, we’ve heard that too - a lot of the noise it transmitted via the rather rigid fuel line so we’re looking at upgrading that and we have a protective case for the pump on the way which is supposed to help with that too.. thanks for the heads up 😁👍🏻
Good idea having a second form of heating and a bonus of being cheaper too. My van has diesel heating which is connected to the main fuel tank and works really well. I also found out last year that it is useful to have a backup option. My gas regulator packed up but because we were on an electric hook up we could use the microwave to cook everything and make drinks plus switch the fridge over to 240v however before we go out again I will carry a spare regulator. I think I will also get some form of table top cooker for another option. Cheers Martin
Just a quick tip, as I've not seen it mentioned in the comments. To prime the fuel line, press and hold both the up and down arrows at the same time, and it starts the pump. The only problem with it is, if you let go, it stops. If you've got an assistant, get them to watch the bottom of the heater while you prime it, and then it should fire first time. It does take quite a while to prime the line/filter, longer than you'd think.
Brilliant vlog guys, and extremely informative too. No doubt that will help loads of people with the added tips of priming, insulating outlets etc. Thankyou for another outstanding piece of content. Hope you have a lovely and toasty week, best wishes and stay safe and well to you both and your families ❤️ 💙 ❤️ 💙 ❤️
On Friday you said you left the bikes behind due to weight. What is the length and weight of your MH and what is payload. What category/class were you on the French peage. Only asking as have Burster 7.49m on order. Are you pleased with yours?
Hi Keith, ours is 7m long and 3.5 tonnes. All but one peage charged us the same rate as a car and the one that didn’t was only €2.60 anyway.. we love this van 😁👍🏻❤️
There’s actually duty and VAT on red diesel but you are correct it’s a lot lower than the duty & VAT on Road Diesel. You can also run it on Kero which is fully duty free 👍 and Kero does not wax up in freezing temperatures.
I have a Webasto diesel heater mounted outside/underneath my van (in a protective housing). I do find it quite noisy still and the ticking of the pump is very noticeable but is tolerable and you get used to it. I'm always very conscious about running it when close to other vans or habitation because of the noise outside. Not the best thing for stealth camping though but very efficient. I've thought of adding a silencer but have heard they can cause issues - My heater is not very accessible however for servicing
Excellent video quick tip if you get fed up with the ticking of the pump suspend it on exhaust mountings ticking gone 😁 also it’s easy to put the fuel line into the sender on top of the fuel tank on the Ducato
We’ve some additional bits arriving to help with the noise but it’s not too bad now. We know 😁 we chose the external tank so we can run red as we said in the vid 😁👍🏻
Hi John and Mandy good vid on the diesel heater i'll will check and see were i can fit one and don't forget the vid when you cook that meal for Mandy ppl will be watching out for it😂😂😂👍 stay safe and take care👍
Jings John glad you ordered that when you did as you will need it according to the weather forecast , need to look after Mandy and Cooper 🥶 . Fran and I have been looking at installing one and we haven’t been out in the Moho a lot since we got it. It’s only done 2000 miles since June due to you know what but I have used it at the end of October and it wAs very cold during the night. We have a whale system and I don’t think Elddis have fitted it to its capacity. As you say a diesel heater is my next approach to our heating problem so need to watch your video to the end, glad to see you are all back home safe, hop Cooper is adjusting to the climate change 🥶🚐🥰
Thanks Eddie, coop is not pleased at all, we’ve never seen him want to get back in the van so quickly - ever..! Sounds like a good call to look into a diesel heater then.. hopefully you’ll be out and about soon enough 😁👍🏻
Hi J & M I put a 5k Chinese diesel heater in my workshop thinking it may help to warm the place to say I am disappointed would be mild. Its best temperature to date coming out of the useless thing is 24 Degrees by the time you've got the gauge a foot away its just a cold draft. We have an Eberspacker in our static in Scotland and you can't hold your hand near it for very long. I suspect there is something wrong with Chinese one but at the moment decided you get what you pay for. I can't complain though as I got 60 quid back off the seller and kept it. But it has made reluctant to buy another. See ya keep your heads down and stay safe.
We have a chinese diesel heater fitted in our autosleeper duetto and it works great, but we use kerosene home heating fuel in it and it works perfectly and its cheaper
Hi guys I have the same one on my boat I find it best to use paraffin its burns hotter and saves having to clean it out has often I've had it on the boat for 3 years now no problems
Whichever way fit and gave the correct flow - we did have to swap it once as the back was getting all the flow (straight piece from the heater) so changed the T so more reaches the front 😁👍🏻
Always informative, as we've come to expect. Great to see you with your advice. Look forward to the next one. Diesel heater Definitely needed in the current conditions. Keep it up guys. Take care.
Hi Both, good vid as usual, always wondered why you hadn’t done this ages ago, I’ve had one in my caravan for 2 years now, with no faults. Just one thing I would have done different on your install, that’s is I would have used a turret plate to go through your floor. I also think you should have stressed the importance of having a CO alarm, you probably have one anyway but forgot to mention it. One more thing, there is a product called Afterburner which allows full control over every aspect of the heater, it’s open source, however the developer has stopped shipping them to the Uk for now due to the extra taxes/ paperwork involved since Brexit. You’ll find the Afterburner details on a dedicated Fb page. Hope this is useful info, all the best, stay warm, safe and enjoy👍Neil
Hi ya kiddos , blimey mates, that looks a job and half. Well done , 👏🏻👏🏻 your going to need it , Storm Christoph is on the way. Baton down the hatches and keep safe. Take care. 🥂😘
When I fitted my Chinese diesel heater to the small van I built. I didn’t like the idea of the diesel pipe coming out of the bottom of the tank so I drilled a hole at the top near the filler and used the pick up pipe I think it’s designed for using it I have your main diesel tank. I’ve put the pipe through the little hole and are used tape to hold the nut in a spanner that is designed for brake pipes. So the spanner had a little split in the side to go over brake pipes so when I tightened up the nut I could get the spanner back out of the neck of the tank. Stay safe🚐☕️☕️👍🏼🏴🌈🙏🏼💙❤️💙❤️
Really recomend you install a turett for separation to any insulation and the van floor mate the exhaust on these gets glowing red hot John. Just installed one.
Nice one, welcome to the cheap Chinese Diesel heater club! They are a bit awesome, had ours for 2 years now. Based on others advice, we've added a spare glow plug and it's spanner to the travel kit 👍
Really great vlog John Mandy only just started following you guys really loving your little vlogs and this was a really great video I would love van life maybe one day 😁
Hi Mandy, The Police don't dip tanks looking for Red diesel. It's carried out by officers of HMRC. They can often be found in the national service stations on the motorways. You'll see their silver pickup truck with the snugbox on the back with there mobile laboratory...
Fantastic, I've been waiting for you to fit one of these ;-), I'm going to do it myself soon. Please keep us updated on its performance and reliability. Like the way you have integrated it with the installed ducting. Keep up the good work.
Hi John I have fitted a few of these and would advise you to put some small jubilee clips on the rubber fuel pipe where you are joining them to the small fuel pipe and the connection at the heater, great videos thanks to you and Mandy and Coop
It’s supposed to but we can’t figure out how.. we set a temp but it just keeps going 🙈 hopefully someone will know how and give us a hint 😁 We do have a plan, we have some parts on the way to help with it 😁👍🏻
John and Mandy please note that Red diesel is not as clean for you mobile home heater as normal pump diesel that’s why most farm machines and plant have secondary throw away or replacement secondary fuel filter. Might be worth investigating if you can install one of those plastic through away ones in line. Maybe without it will make injector or even the little pump fail later. My tank was spotless in my excavator when I first got it using regular diesel since I’ve changed to save money it’s now full up with a brown growth. I change the machines fuel filters regularly and have to clean the little in line one also that shows how fine a material comes from red diesel. The farmers around me have the same problem and by a bow of these inline filters for around I think £10to £15. Might be with putting some of the red diesel in a jar with tissue paper se if it collects any residue. 👍
Hi Guys. Good vid..when your refining that install..i would get another tank. Same type if you like...But use a stand pipe..and take feed from the TOP. I've done this fot 2 diesel heaters.. Zero chance of leaks from the tank..eventually bottom outlet will fail..not good. Anyways keep up the good vids. Ian &Dee from Ireland💏☘
The tank is designed with the feed at the bottom, someone sat down and designed it that way, so as ours works perfectly that way I’m going to leave it so it’s neat and working as designed

Thanks Nik, I’m sure we’ll pick up other ways to use the panel as we go and we’ll pop them in our vids if we do 😁👍🏻
John that tip on priming the heater was an absolute gem buddy, similar to bleeding brakes remove the cap to remove the vacuum effect. Brilliant
Cheers buddy 😁👍🏻❤️
There is a 'priming' mode you can use from the controller, it's on some of the youtube videos, easy to do.
Well done fitting the heater in that weather stay safe guys
Thanks Mick 😁👍🏻
We have an eberspacher fitted in our camper... without a doubt .. it is our favourite item in the van. Ours is heating only and not water too. Diesel heating is definitely the way to go ...
We had a eberspacher in our T6 and it was epic..! Diesel heating is definitely a great addition 👍🏻👍🏻
I used to put a bottle of water on my eberspacher before bed, was hot enough for coffee in the morning 👍
A great video so thanks for that. Thanks for watching, we’re swapping the fuel line as that is far too noisy at the mo, it’s one of the finishing touches we’re making 😁👍🏻
The silencer has a small drain hole on the side so should be mounted with the hole facing downwards, not sideways.
Thanks for the info 😁👍🏻
thanks for that tip. I have just ordered a heater for my motorhome. I will make sure the drain hole is facing downwards.

Brill video. We love our Webasto diesel heater in our Chausson. Get the Speedos on....
Speedos..? Even summer is to cold for speedos 😁 they are brilliant though aren’t they?
Great Video I do like these heaters, I have one in my camper and also one in my workshop. and being a dry heat its better in the van than LPG

Worry no more me thinks.. Time to get the tool kit out 🧰 🚐💨
Have fun Ian, definitely not as bad as you think 😁👍🏻
Hi both of you (and Cooper), C.J. came and fitted our diesel heater June time as we were intending to spend Nov/Dec in Scotland but that never happened. I thought of feeding th heat into the Truma pipes but was worried about pushing the heat wrong way through the Truma unit. I take it from your vid it would be ok fitted like that.
We enjoyed you live the other night. Keep up the good work. Terry and Norma
Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed the live 😁❤️ providing you don’t use the truma at the same time as the diesel heater it’ll be fine 😁👍🏻
Top video, stay warm, stay safe.👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you really useful and informative xxx. Hope you're both safe and well xx
Thanks Debbie, hope you are too ☺️👍🏻❤️
John & Mandy on Tour thank you yes we are xx
I have one of these and its got to be the best thing I put in my conversion. They really are fantastic, and unbelievably cheap considering what they do.
They are, we couldn’t believe the price for the kit you get 😁👍🏻
Thanks for sharing your video we could do with here in our lounge this evening it’s freezing 🥶
Thanks for watching Anne, hope you warm up soon 😁👍🏻
Welcome home.. Thanks for the heater video.. Sat in our motorhome now and we have been thinking about this as lpg is getting hard in the Uk.
Thanks Wayne, it’s definitely worth thinking about - we have to drive 25kms from where we are for the nearest lpg
Thank you both so much for this weeks video. I’m about to buy and install one of these for my little connect. Huge Thanks 👍
No problem Stevie, thanks for watching 😁👍🏻
Glad your heater worked without issue. I bought an identical one but have constant E-10 errors. Currently waiting for replacement parts which will hopefully fix the problems and get it running. If not then I may just buy another and keep my fingers crossed the 2nd one works.
Great vid btw! 👍👌
Hope you get something sorted soon Craig 😁👍🏻
Hi, after a year or so of using my diesel heater Ive collected the following snipets of interest. If you suspend the pump (mine hangs on about 2 inches of cable tie through the bolt hole in the rubber mount) its virtually silent. If you mostly run it at low outputs then the combustion chamber tends to soot up, so its worth giving it a blast regularly, and thirdly, they run happily on paraffin (or jet A1 if your rich enough!) and they don't tend to soot up as fast on paraffin. Hope Cooper enjoys his new heater :-)
Thanks Peter.. we’ve a few things underway to help with the pump, glad to know suspending it helps a lot 😁
First thing in the morning we have it on full to help blast the door and so it’s warm enough to get dressed 😊 Coop loves the new heater 👍🏻
Loving your Vlogs on all aspects of van life.
It may be more difficult for you to source on the move but domestic heating oil is currently around 35 pence per litre and recently has been as low as 16p.
Stay safe....and warm...
Thanks for that.. still looking at where best to get that from but red is available most places we visit 😁👍🏻
Oooh fab, year round garden house now 😁👍🏻
It always makes my day to see your faces on a new vlog
Aww thank you 😁👍🏻
That's belt and braces on the heating 👍🏻 great installation too, perfect space for it and I love the integration with the existing ducting.
Friend of mine bought a stand alone version after seeing/feeling how good mine is in my van and put it in his workshop, loves it !
Great video guys 👍🏻
Thanks Terry, it works brilliantly from there and reaches the front nicely too.. those stand alone ones are very cool 😁👍🏻
Great video, you are clever John, along with Mandy’s help. Hope your keeping toasty xx
We are, thanks Julie 😁👍🏻
Top job John.......well explained and a great addition to your van......stay safe.....thanks for sharing
Cheers Ian 😁👍🏻
Good job mate. Try fitting diesel heater on a ribbed floor van no quite so simple. But nobody tells you (and its not in heater parameters booklet) that they don't work if one does not have correct voltage levels in your batteries, it will drain the batteries. Then you have a problem. Never use engine battery to power a diesel heater unless you run engine every day (as in a HGV).
Good to know, thanks.. 😁👍🏻 it was nice and simple with the flat composite floor that’s for sure 👍🏻
Great. Answered all of my questions. Thank you 🙏
Perfect 😎👍🏻
Thanks for the video! Very help. Have you found a helpful pdf instruction manual for this specific model anywhere?
Great video. Really useful to see how you fitted it. Having done a lot of research on the subject there are a number of options on RUclips, then the best way to reduce the ticking is to suspend the pump so that the noise is eliminated. Hope this helps
Ah yes, we’ve heard that too - a lot of the noise it transmitted via the rather rigid fuel line so we’re looking at upgrading that and we have a protective case for the pump on the way which is supposed to help with that too.. thanks for the heads up 😁👍🏻
@@johnmandy Cool. Would be very interested to know how that improves things if you can update us please
@@davidmeadowcroft7626 we will 😁👍🏻
Good idea having a second form of heating and a bonus of being cheaper too.
Cheers
Martin
That’s good to have Martin, we have the instant pot and Nespresso maker to go with the kettle and the hob.. definitely good to have options 😁👍🏻
Thanks Phil 👍🏻👍🏻
Brilliant vlog guys, and extremely informative too. No doubt that will help loads of people with the added tips of priming, insulating outlets etc. Thankyou for another outstanding piece of content. Hope you have a lovely and toasty week, best wishes and stay safe and well to you both and your families ❤️ 💙 ❤️ 💙 ❤️
Thanks Mr W, same to you too 😁👍🏻❤️
On Friday you said you left the bikes behind due to weight.
Very informative video, been thinking of getting one of these for a while now, and you’ve just made our minds up,,,,many thanks.
Glad we could help, thanks Bob 😁👍🏻
Just a brilliant Vlog Guys, I loved it. I’m now thinking should I install one of these 🤔
Definitely a good investment 😁👍🏻
Ordered one through your Ebay link 👍🏻
Awesome, thank you 😁👍🏻
Excellent video quick tip if you get fed up with the ticking of the pump suspend it on exhaust mountings ticking gone 😁 also it’s easy to put the fuel line into the sender on top of the fuel tank on the Ducato
Thanks Michael, he won’t forget.. got to choose the meal then we’re good to go 😁👍🏻
good vid on van life keep posting updates up
Thank you 😁👍🏻
Hi Guys.
I don't suppose you have any info on the wiring?
Cheers :)
Hi you two. Same as ours. It a game changer. Brilliant. Mine is piped to main tank so no cheap diesel for us. 😭. X.
I’m sure we’ll change to that at some point as it really is easier but while we can get the cheap diesel we’ll make the most of it 😁👍🏻
Brilliant vlog guys.
Thank you 😁👍🏻
Great video very helpful
Thanks Chris 😁👍🏻
We know so many people with these bargain chinese heaters that a different one is rare.. glad you got some money back from it 😁👍🏻
We have a chinese diesel heater fitted in our autosleeper duetto and it works great, but we use kerosene home heating fuel in it and it works perfectly and its cheaper
Thanks Kieran, where do you get small amounts of kerosene from? We’ve looked but can’t find any cheaper than the red we’re buying 🤷🏻♀️
Hi guys I have the same one on my boat I find it best to use paraffin its burns hotter and saves having to clean it out has often I've had it on the boat for 3 years now no problems
Good to know, thanks 😁👍🏻
Hi John,Mandy Coops .how did you decide the placement of the T piece to the origional tubing.Thankyou.
Whichever way fit and gave the correct flow - we did have to swap it once as the back was getting all the flow (straight piece from the heater) so changed the T so more reaches the front 😁👍🏻
Hi John How much current does it draw during start up and use. I'm interested in what the battery drain is over night. Thanks Jeremy
|It's 10 amps for 1 minute and then less than 1 amp when it's running after that.
@@johnmandy oh thats not much, thanks very much. Stay warm!
Would you still recommend this heater John ? I’m looking to fit one but direct to the fuel tank
with a modded pump to stop the ticking
Always informative, as we've come to expect. Great to see you with your advice. Look forward to the next one. Diesel heater Definitely needed in the current conditions. Keep it up guys. Take care.
Thanks Shabir, it’s definitely a game changer 😁👍🏻
Thanks for watching 😁 we wanted to see how well the truma lpg system performed before we changed anything. 👍🏻
Hi ya kiddos , blimey mates, that looks a job and half. Well done , 👏🏻👏🏻 your going to need it , Storm Christoph is on the way. Baton down the hatches and keep safe. Take care. 🥂😘
Thanks Gill.. the -2 nights when we first got back we’re a shocker so I’m glad we’re sorted for the storm 😁👍🏻
I did the same with the tank . No potential leaks below the fuel line. 👍
@@stina6762 Yes my lovely it seemed the only sensible way to drill a hole. So now there’s no way it can leak🚐☕️☕️👍🏼🏴🌈🙏🏼💙❤️💙❤️
That’s a good heads up there.. 🤞🏻this’ll be ok, we check it a couple of times a day 😁👍🏻❤️
We installed our one last year . Lovely and cosey they are .
Can’t argue with lovely and cosy ☺️❤️
Really recomend you install a turett for separation to any insulation and the van floor mate the exhaust on these gets glowing red hot John. Just installed one.
Nice one, welcome to the cheap Chinese Diesel heater club! They are a bit awesome, had ours for 2 years now. Based on others advice, we've added a spare glow plug and it's spanner to the travel kit 👍
Thanks Pete, it’s a toasty warm club 😁😂 I’m sure we’ll get one eventually too 😁👍🏻
Did you connect it to the ring heater, so also your water is heating up?
We’ve bypassed the truma (but so it can easily be reinstated) so no hot water from it 👍🏻
Really great vlog John Mandy only just started following you guys really loving your little vlogs and this was a really great video I would love van life maybe one day 😁
The instructions are actually in what is called Chinglish 😆
Haha.. they certainly are 😁😂
I call it Engrish.
Hi Mandy, The Police don't dip tanks looking for Red diesel. It's carried out by officers of HMRC. They can often be found in the national service stations on the motorways. You'll see their silver pickup truck with the snugbox on the back with there mobile laboratory...
Good shout 🙂👍🏻
Definitely an game changer having one of these in your van guys, and having integrated within your original heating ducting " bonus" 😎👍👍👍..
Cheers Mark 😁👍🏻
Great little upgrade , can’t believe the price , a small price to pay for home comforts , stay safe and warm 😀
Truly a bargain for what you get 😁👍🏻 thanks Tony..
Fantastic, I've been waiting for you to fit one of these ;-), I'm going to do it myself soon. Please keep us updated on its performance and reliability. Like the way you have integrated it with the installed ducting. Keep up the good work.
Thank you 😁 we’ve some finishing bits to sort out yet so you’ll have the full info and a proper review in good time 😁👍🏻
Hi John I have fitted a few of these and would advise you to put some small jubilee clips on the rubber fuel pipe where you are joining them to the small fuel pipe and the connection at the heater, great videos thanks to you and Mandy and Coop
Thanks for the heads up Jimmy, we’re waiting for replacement fuel hose then will sort them out 😁👍🏻
Thank you for showing those controller settings, have you learned any more?
You may have said already... just to clarify, no auto temp for the cabin? Is there a plan to try and reduce the noise of the pump?
It’s supposed to but we can’t figure out how.. we set a temp but it just keeps going 🙈 hopefully someone will know how and give us a hint 😁
We do have a plan, we have some parts on the way to help with it 😁👍🏻
@@johnmandy just want to say thank you for taking time for all that you share.
@@johncrisp6683 No problem John, thank you for watching 😁👍🏻
Love my diesel heater had it in over a year I also use red when available defo gets warm great vlog tc love cozy2 💙❤️💙❤️💙
They’re awesome aren’t they 😁👍🏻
Great video, very informative.
Thank you 😁👍🏻
Great vlog, in my next motorhome I definitely want a diesel heater
Definitely worth adding one 😁👍🏻
Thanks Nigel 😁👍🏻
Hi great job. What are you doing underneath the van with the water splashing on the hole area you cut, will it not put damp into you floor?
Thanks, it’s not the final fit as we’re still waiting for bits to arrive but needed it up and running 😁👍🏻
Great informative video as always... keep warm !
Thanks Andrew 😁👍🏻
Hello john how did you mount your diesel tank on the door, cheers Dave
The tank come with 4 mounting screws which I screwed into the door. 👍🏻
Hi guys, have you a video that shows how to fit solar and split charge so I can use split charge in the winter and solar in the summer?
