Not go for the thieving big brand, not go for the thieving little brand but find and go for the original designers who mostly happen to be small companies.
Honestly, she is better off for it. I haven't seen an impressive chanel or dior look in years. Chanel did the worst job with margot. The last few collections of gucci and yves st Laurent were also nothing crazy.
These fashion houses like paper dolls. There is nothing special or unique about a paper doll. Zendaya's ability to make any outfit looks 10 times better when it's on her than a paper doll speaks volumes.

I’m not the biggest zendaya fan, but am glad that she’s killing it right now and hope for the best for her, I just watched one movie with her so I can’t say I know her work. BUT she’s stunning and the fact that she’s not relying on those big fashion brands is QUEEN behaviour. I think she would have the possibility to bring a hardworking small fashion house to stardom. That would be awesome. Her outfits are amazing and I like that she’s fitting the theme of the red carpet so well. It’s refreshing to see.

As stylist I don’t agree with the undertone of this video it implies that the brands are only do it because of racism but actually many a list celebrities are rejected by them. It’s more likely to do with the age bracket of zendya target audience. They’re mostly teens and young adults. Zendya herself has only recently started doing more adult movies. The big houses will work with her eventually but more likely when she grows a bit more.
Law said they now want to work with her but they are choosing to be petty about it. I also wouldn't rule racism out.
As a person who also works in this field, that is absolutely not correct. These brands work with a lot of other celebrities that are younger than Zendeya with also audiences in the same age bracket. There is a lot more to it then this.

I find these types of videos very misleading. Lots of big time celebrities don’t get approached by certain designers because they don’t necessarily fit the aesthetic of the house. For instance, Kylie Jenner has never worn Chanel or Dior on the red carpet but she’s worn Mugler & Versace.
Zendaya honestly looks best in designers that are iconic for their haute coutures as opposed to their ready-to-wear collections aka Mugler, Thom Browne, Versace, JPG, etc.

A lot of the fashion houses don't like giving their stuff to celebrities. For one if the celebrity doesn't look good in it then it does not help the designer or house. Victoria Beckham does not give any of her stuff to celebrities either. Zendaya could wear a bin liner and she would kill it. The big fashion houses have MUSES. They do not need some actor or actress to promote their wares
