I just got into Paramore and I only recently found her music, and to be completely honest I don’t like it as much as Paramore. It’s just not my kind of music. I do however love seeing how she evolved over time. She’s doing her own thing now and though I don’t know all of the details I’m gonna take a wild guess that in the last 13 years she’s been through some shit. It makes me happy to see she’s doing well and doing her own thing the way she wants it. It’s reassuring for me as I struggle through school.

And that is why most Americans don't have sex. Really the American media culture is slowly cannabliszing itself along with It the true human nature. most Americans are so robotic these days and are not supple and open to softness, of any kind. Just causllus and unhuman. Slowly and constantly learning to love pain and tolerate it. On a daily basis. It's sick! "Do you taste old shame when you lick my wounds". = The shame and pain that is put onto us and every lgbtqia+ person, that always will be a part of us. "Had a life in hiding, but a storm kept coming in". = Moments and phases where we can't be our true selves, even though the pressure to be ourselves is there (and increases). "Sugar on the rim" and "You took me by surprise" = the sweetness of finding needed, unknown support, that was lacking the time before.
"Maybe we just had to feel it, So we'd know the difference" = For me it's changing my gender expression to discover who I really am. For others it might be exploring their sexuality.
"When we tell our gory story" = similar to the old shame and wounds, the experiences of lgbtqia+ people can be brutally painful and it's important to open up to relieve the burden and share knowledge. "With sweetness on our lips" = We still take pride in our identity and experiences.
"Bitter if you walk away, sweeter if you stay" makes me think of lgbtqia+ people who we lost and also the people that turn away from our community instead of supporting and helping us.
After this reflection i might cry listening to the song but it's also such a bop and makes me happy. Hope this helps you understand and is not too much to read. :)
