yay!!! thanks so much for having me
So wonderful. Beautiful sound, performance , arrangement, backing vocals. Loved it!!
thank you dr. b!!
Great job to you both!!!! this is really cool....thanks for sharing your gift with the world and most importantly our students!!!!
thanks so much linwood!! :)
I love the lights in the back. Mine are just yellow.
I wonder what this sounds like without the tuning, fake harmonies and production?
Harmonies are real. It usually sounds really bad when I don't tune my guitars.
@@rishabhrajan You auto-tune your guitars? Neat!!
i always wonder what the point of questions like these are? if you have a moment to share, please do. from a creator's perspective, i (or we, in this case) make things that i/we want to make, so whatever i/we do (recording a well-performed vocal, layering harmonies, adding instruments etc.) is with regards to that. if you're looking for something "less produced" and wondering hypothetically what that would sound like, then this is not for you, and you can move on to another video that is more suited to what you want to hear. otherwise, these questions speak more about your attitude than our creative output. if we wanted to make a more stripped down production than what we made here, we would do that, but we didn't want to, so we didn't.
@@dolltrick My point is... in 1940 - folks sounded real - you either had a great voice or didn't. Fast forward to 2023 and everything seems computer generated/enhanced/fixed. So, I ask the question - what do you sound like with just your voice.. no computers, no DAW's, no sound engineers.. just you singing the same song? If you can't do it - then you proved the point.
@@pesto12601 (looks like my response was deleted for whatever reason, so reposting!) it's unfortunate that you have such a narrow view about the role of technology in the arts, particularly with how the development and increased accessibility of digital tools have helped many over the years express themselves artistically. it is limiting to have such a black-and-white perspective of "no tech = real/good" versus "tech = fake/bad". as far as using just one's voice, you're welcome to attend my live shows (or the live show of any artist who you're skeptical of) if having "proof" is that important to you. and if not, there are much better places to direct your energy towards. perhaps you can turn to the catalogs of the 1940s artists you mentioned, or you can find other artists who "sound real" to you, rather than picking this as your hill to die on. we have made a cover that we're proud of, and if you don't appreciate it merely because of contemporary production techniques, that's fine, albeit a loss to you for all the other music produced with technology tools that you might be missing out on.
