for the essay, if your AO1 section was about photosynthesis producing sugars and for the AO2 you wrote about how those sugars are used in respiration, would that count as 2 topics or just one? (because they're in the same paragraph) also thank you so much for all your videos!!

When you talk about ATP in respiration would you mention that it's used to phosphorylate glucose? I don't understand how it's used in respiration when it's made during chemiosmosis?
There’s already ATP in your body you’re never going to have no ATP. You put in 2 ATP at the start of glycolysis but make 4 so there’s a net gain of 2 ATP in glycolysis alone. There’s also substrate level phosphorylation in the Krebs cycle, and then yes most ATP is made in oxidative phosphorylation

Hi! Our teachers always say we need to link between the topics very explicitly- so in an essay about shapes linking together, we’d need to do a linking statement between neurotransmitters for example, AND the next topic of say, enzymes. The aqa website says we dont need to do this, only link to the question, but it makes me a bit anxious getting different sources of info!!! What would you suggest?
what if you read the essay titles, don't know what to write, stress out, then forget the answers for the other questions bc your stressing about essay titles?
Then just tell yourself you'll have an idea by the end of the exam. But if you leave it last and then stress out there isn't anything to distract you to calm
Can you talk about eutrophication and the nitrogen cycle in the same essay or do they count as the same topic?

Hi, this is quite an urgent question, is it true that you can’t talk about mainly plants or mainly animals for the essay? For example, if 3 of my topics are about plants and 1 is on animals, would that be allowed?
