❤❤❤❤watching this series❤❤❤the theme tune sung by Jackie. Where have those 50+ years gone - too fast When times were ‘simpler’. As kids we had more freedoms. Came back from school, did your homework and after tea went out to play with my mates in the road (lived in cul-de-sac) and ran all over the place. Yes we ate rubbish, lots of biscuits, sweets and fizzy pop but we had exercise, swimming and on bicycles ❤️❤️👍 👍 🏴🏴🌼🌼
And the years have melted away ..bbc early 70s school holidays in the summer ..a favourite charming import in the days when some European dramas were acquired and dubbed for uk audiences
So glad to have found this. I lost my sister a few weeks ago, a life long equestrian. This was the theme tune to our life way back when. It brings tears to my eyes watching it now. We are playing the theme tune at her funeral in Monday.
So sorry for your loss. These fond memories are bittersweet. Our family members, usually parents(in my case) no longer. With us. I miss my sweet gentle mother. She was in her 30s and happy back then. God bless and comfort you and yours in these sad times.
I had a horse when I was a little girl, sort of a Percheron/pony mix, and though he wasn't a grand-looking horse, he thought he was, and he did this "running around the pasture" thing - a chasing game, and he even arched his neck and lifted his knees up like that.
Part of my late sixties childhood especially in school holiday mornings. White Horses (still got the single!), Casey Jones, Champion the Wonder Horse and the legendary Robinson Crusoe... and every so often Laurel and Hardy.
I used to run home from (Primary) school Tuesdays: 'My Friend Flicka' Wednesdays: 'Champion The Wonder Horse' Thursdays: 'Fury.' 'White Horses' came later... Plus 'Follyfoot' and 'Black Beauty' ... I was also a great fan of 'Bonanza' and 'The High Chaparral' and knew those horse's names too... (& 'Gunsmoke' but less keen on that last one!!).
Hints of incest, smoking, riding without hats, painting horses with wheel paint, magicking up an extra driving harness, talk of the birds and the bees, blatant sexism. Terrible plot, terrible dialogue, terrible acting. Lippizaners not even on the bit! What's not to love??😂😂😂
@@CarlB_1962 I tried twice but when I tried to put in my card number I got some error message about it only accepting a 3D secure card, whatever that is. I then tried PayPal but forgot my password. Tried to reset that and it wouldn’t accept my correct security answers. I give up.
@@jazzman1626 Is it worth contacting your bank? They are always coming up with weird and wonderful ways to make it more difficult to access your own money. I didn’t have any problem.
@@CarlB_1962 Good idea. I’ll ask them next time I’m in. The white horses will be great for kids to see after all these years. I got the Robinson Crusoe DVDs, Tom Grattan’s War and The Flaxton Boys.
This looks like the Lipizzaner stud in Lipica which was in north Yugoslavia, now Slovenia. I visited the stud in the late 70s, while working with dressage horses in Austria.
If only we could go back.😊
Fifty-five years dissolves in the blink of an eye. Suddenly I’m in the sitting room of my childhood home again, watching our black and white Pye TV.
Ours was an ECKO!
I totally agree
Love the theme music, loved the programme, brings back so many memories, brings tears to my eyes everytime i hear it
I remember pretend galloping around my garden pretending i was on boris.

She had a sad life in real life
Who? Jackie Lee?
@@pianissimo369 no the actress
Yes, unfortunately she committed suicide aged just 38.
I’m little again and my mum is with me ❤
Such a shame the English-dubbed version isn’t available to buy on DVD or to stream. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
The place to buy them from is on the screen at the start of this video. A co.uk address.
@@jazzman1626 Thanks. Spotted it not long after leaving my comment. Have bought it now.
