The Chef Series 2023, 30th Anniversary: Darren Teoh

As part of our 30th Anniversary celebration, we have prepared a stellar line up of chefs for this year's The Chef Series. Our third guest chef was one Michelin-starred Chef Darren Teoh, who visited in April to prepare a number of exclusive modern Malaysian cuisine dishes at our magical rainforest resort. ⁠

Chef Darren created a unique Degustation Menu, exclusively for The Datai Langkawi, served at our fine dining restaurant, The Dining Room. Chef Darren’s menu showcased the uniqueness and diversity of ingredients in Malaysia by looking at the best seasonal produce available and using them without the limitations of a set cultural context⁠. He went on a journey around The Datai Langkawi to find ingredients that could be used in his menu.⁠
