I used to stay at The Federal in soi 11, back in the 90’s. But I think The Federal is gone. There was a lot of parties and fun back then. Nice video, nice to see that soi again, cheers!
Yea have done that myself, short stay at the start and the end of a trip. Land, one or 2 nights in a hotel to get over the flight then off elsewhere. Same on the return.
The grand swiss . That is the front entrance. Stayed there on my 2nd visit to bangkok. Not guest friendly thou. Hence not returning. Rooms outdated and dark . Pool had a nice green glow to it thou. More off a budget hotel and not worth it. Better n cheaper places around this area. The only thing grand about it is the name.

Suk 11 was a good place to eat and unusal set up.
Zanzir bar is also good place with live music in the evening if you dont mind the mossies 555
BKK is great for one night but want to get out after that. I sort of associate it with going home lol.
