So from the Pioneers inception (2014) nothing has really changed. I must say my 2015 was very reliable, but after seven years it was time to move on from the 700 that was short on horse power and comfort. I looked at the 1000 Pioneer, but the non adjustable bench seats was a deal breaker. I opted for a 2023 Yamaha Wolverine X2.
Just bought a 2023 Honda Pioneer 700. Love it so far. Had to go out of town, so I only have 8 miles on it so far. It has a roof, a folding windshield, and a lightbar mounted to the roof. Other than that, it is stock. The only minor issue is that it seems loud. Carry ear muffs in the glove box, so that isn't a big deal.
@R2D2677 up to 70 miles so far. Still loud when above 8 mph. Apparently, the windshield and roof make it louder by reflecting the sound. As it gets warmer, the heat coming off the engine is noticeable. Love the ability to carry 2 chainsaws, a Stihl Brushcutter, gas, bar oil, silky hands away and a 21 ft notch pole saw. The not h pole saw has a silky blade and collapses nicely. Before the Honda Pioneer had lug everything by hand. Now, I can take it all. Have loaded up the bed with cut wood to make brush piles as needed also.
We had a 2020 model 700-4 and I’ll say it is a Billy Goat on the trails. If It had bigger tires and alittle wider it would be a trail machine for sure!
You should have listed all the differences in the 23. Redesigned grab bar, built-in rocker switches, bed lights on the deluxe and trail model, stick stoppers, key on power harnesses under hood and upgraded power steering.
Just purchased a 23 pioneer 700 and something nobody talks about is the after market hasn’t caught up. I havent been told what Honda did differently but they changed the frame up n cab enough that Honda doesn’t even have a set of soft full doors out for it yet and I haven’t found any after wire plow and winch’s for the 23 Of course Honda has a plow and winch set up for it but it priced about $1000 more then a aftermarket set up for a 22 would cost. So patiently waiting for the aftermarket to company’s to come up with winch set up and plow set up for these. As for the machine it’s self love it wish it had a little more top end to it but it def had some low end grunt
Can you zoom in on the engine location compartment, oil and differential change access points..with other SxSs oil and belt changes can be a challenge. Are there shaft drive Hondas?
Shaft driven. Automotive style transmission. I have a video on the oil change that shows the engine compartment. More difficult than a full size truck, but a very doable job for anyone who can turn a wrench and drink a beer or two.
Does this model come with a 12v plug on the inside where you could plug a heater in the the 12v if you fully enclosed it? Also is the 1000cc model faster? Thanks
Hey there! They used to have a 12 volt outlet in the cab, but it seems Honda moved that to the inside of the dump bed for use with a sprayer. I’ll have to double check and see if they hid another 12 volt outlet inside the van somewhere. Although I don’t think they did unfortunately.
Thank you for sharing. Big Honda fan but they have created an artificial shortage and I finally gave up finding one and bought another brand. Maybe in a few years the market will adjust.
You’re very welcome! And although I can attest to the frustration of the inventory shortage, I can tell you it’s not intentional. There are worldwide shortages of manpower, parts, components and many other things. We experience this with Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki as well. Just about anything shipped overseas is difficult to obtain right now unfortunately.
Every supply chain is stressed right now, and all types of manufacturing is having start/stop issues. I can’t read minds, but I can attest that it’s hard to keep manufacturing going since Covid.
They are tough to obtain lately yes I do agree. Keep your hopes up! This is the 2nd 2023 model we’ve received in the past 2 weeks. We are supposed to be getting more actually!
Hey David! The width measurement is from the widest point possible which on this unit happens to be the tires. I can get you overall measurements as well as tire patch to tire patch. Just let me know what you need buddy.
I'm not entirely sure what folks think these things should cost. Average 500-750 ATV's are $7500-$9500. I think a SxS of this size for $13,400 is pretty darn good. I don't know of any new small cars selling for $13,400.
Well don't buy one, I love mine don't ever have to work on it. Just use it you need to buy one that's cheaper so you have something to do and complain about.
When will Honda get their heads out and offer a low range in the SXS market? To say its not needed is pure BS. I have 1 and live in CO. Its needed! When I go to sell mine I'm getting a small Japanese truck. Less money more features.
@Uncle Dad yeah it definitely does need more gears, moving between my propertys i cant even keep up with traffic on a 30 mph road without feeling like im running it hard because the engine screaming
No turf mode is a deal breaker for me as well. They offer it in the 1000, so not sure why they can't include it in the 700. Honda's $2000 destination fee doesn't help either.
Ive always thought honda was a good brand, which has created fanboys only beat by honda…. And i’m glad to see the honda boys buy this crap, and get smoked by all the other brands in the real world… cfmoto is better than these… rofl.

Hope Honda puts the trans alp 700 DCT in this, with low range! Would be amazing
Right On with this straight fwd walk Ben….luv ur details on shift points….do wonder how they do with larger boots on though?
Another great video! Pretty happy with my 2023 deluxe. Working on making some new content if anyone is looking for an owner’s perspective.

Shaft driven. Automotive style transmission. I have a video on the oil change that shows the engine compartment. More difficult than a full size truck, but a very doable job for anyone who can turn a wrench and drink a beer or two.
And it should be a 5 speed like the Pioneer 520
Does the 12 volt in back come with base model??
Does this model come with a 12v plug on the inside where you could plug a heater in the the 12v if you fully enclosed it? Also is the 1000cc model faster? Thanks

Up or under the front of the dash (pretty much centered). Not intuitive. But it is there. One in the bed is more obvious.

Have they added a full size hard doors yet?
What all you get with it window top
Can it seat 3, like 2 adults and a small child?
Nice unit!!!!!👍
Is there a 2023 pioneer 3 seater available yet.
no temp gauge?
nice unit, too bad they are not available, I also give up and will buy a competitor brand
They are tough to obtain lately yes I do agree. Keep your hopes up! This is the 2nd 2023 model we’ve received in the past 2 weeks. We are supposed to be getting more actually!
Do they still have the rev limiter on it at 45mph?
Yes they do. Unfortunately the motors in these things aren't quite made to go much faster. They get pretty close to red line at 45mph.
Does it have a Turf Mode?
No
Are the measurements from tire to tire for the width or just the machine?
Hey David! The width measurement is from the widest point possible which on this unit happens to be the tires. I can get you overall measurements as well as tire patch to tire patch. Just let me know what you need buddy.
@@benattwiggcycles that is what I wanted to know Thanks
@@vonbone You’re welcome!
Ridiculous they cost as much as a small car, no reason to cost what they do

I don't know of any new small cars selling for $13,400.
When you go up to the 1000cc engine sxs they go up to the high teens and 20s and can go up all the way to the 40s. Insane
@@benattwiggcycles Plus $785 destination charge and $400 freight surcharge.
Well don't buy one, I love mine don't ever have to work on it. Just use it you need to buy one that's cheaper so you have something to do and complain about.
Is there a new car you can by for 15k that will go off road as well as this?
More gears!?👏🏻
What size trailer do I need for this unit...
What is the top speed of the 700 machine
Hey there Pete! These machines typically top out around 40mph.
At 32 she's screaming
Try to find one in Oregon !
Now if dealers could only get them in stock...... lol
Haha I feel your pain brother! I say to to Honda all the time!

If they’d just give the 700 turf mode.
And an extra gear or 2
@Uncle Dad yeah it definitely does need more gears, moving between my propertys i cant even keep up with traffic on a 30 mph road without feeling like im running it hard because the engine screaming

Glad they got rid off velts driven t
They need low gear and more power and this thing would be a c
They need to add more power.
Quel largeur pour ce 700
Honda need to bump there speeds up on the 520 an 700 models. To hard to ride with other people cause to slow.
Shirt has to go
I managed and ran a Honda and Acura car dealership for 16 years. Honda usually does well in their vehicle designs. This one is a joke.

Cfmoto is junk
What’s the top speed?
Top Speed is 45mph on these
