It seems I'm always unable to take advantage of the latest "hot thing". I have a need to buy new wiper blades for my classic Corvette. Every place I go to tries to push "beam blades" on me. I once bought a pair of beam blades that were supposed to fit my car. After ripping the packaging open (the only way to get the blades out), I found them to be so tall that they would not tuck-in under the hood. They would collide with the edge of the hood, stop, and damage the motor. I was furious but the store I bought them from (not O'Reilly's) wouldn't do anything about it except confirm that they were the correct blades per their fitment guide. Not only was my car damaged, they wouldn't even take the blades back that wouldn't fit because the packaging was ripped.
I noticed if you wash your car or hose down your car or windshield regularly your wipers will last a very long time.. I stopped washing my car ( usually twice a year) than my wipers will just slowly rip off . All the dirt, grime, debris, etc on your windshield wipers that causes your wipers to rip off

change wiper blade when they need to be change my blade lasted four years in canada
I replace mine when they are falling apart 😂
it is totally possible to last the wipers for 4 years, if the quality is good and maintain them well
