    Nice video, very helpful. The only thing I can recommend is to relay what size sockets you used and what torque value is correct.

    Dude. What is going on with that Shock?? Also, great video. I plan on adding those plates this summer when I have time.

    On the nut you taped in is there clearance to put a socket on it to tighter after tje control arm is in?

    "Torque to spec" *hits them with 5-15 ugga duggas* Ah, I see you use the same torque wrench all us home mechanics use.
    Jokes aside, thank you for posting this! I have a set of these sitting in my cart at Rusty's right now. Took my '23 Mojave on her second trail yesterday and took a pretty good hit on driver side LCA mount. This has solidified my decision to buy these ones!

      I definitely recommend them, just paint them better than I did.

    Great video! Have you noticed any issues with articulation in the control arms with this skid? I may be on my second can of rustoleum touching those up

      everything in the suspension still moves freely. I was wondering the same thing after I installed them but I have no issues yet

    Did you use the factory main bolt or a Rusty’s provided new main bolt?

    • @jeepzandthings
      @jeepzandthings  Год назад

      My kit did not come with a replacement main bolt, but the factory bolt was plenty long enough

      @@jeepzandthings great to hear! Mine did come with a replacement bolt, but I used one of the factory nuts on accident and one torque wrench experience later I ruined the provided bolt and the provided nut won’t screw on. Going to put the other factory bolt back on it!

    How are these holding up, was it a worthy upgrade? I just bought a pair.

      @@jeepzandthings good deal, I ordered a pair last night for my Gladiator. Seems like that is a common place to hit on rocks if one isn't running a 40 inch tire haha.

    So did the instructions list the torque specs?

    • @jeepzandthings
      @jeepzandthings  2 года назад +1

      There are no instructions I could find but the main bolt for the control arms are torqued to factory spec which should be 90 ft lbs

    • @ftterlve
      @ftterlve 2 года назад +3

      @@jeepzandthings 90 Ft lbs is for the JL. The JT is 185 Ft Lbs

      Thanks for the heads up I'll have to go retorque lol

    How well have they held up?

    • @jeepzandthings
      @jeepzandthings  Год назад +2

      They have a little surface rust because I'm a terrible painter, but other than that, they have handled all the abuse
