That reverse charge feature is pretty interesting. I carry a small power bank, but it's good to have options.
Yeah I'd never use a flashlight with this function as a main powerbank, but never hurts to have more options.
Some of their other lights do have that two-directional clip.
It's a bit of a shame they didn't throw it on the MT22, it's definitely compact enough to work as a headlamp.
Nice review, I like that it has that portable charger functionality built into it. I’m curious to see if it actually lives up to the advertised lumens, and how far the light throw is.. I own a few Olights for work and for home/EDC and I’ve been blown away with the quality of them all around. Check them out if you haven’t already!
Thanks for watching! I can't test lumens myself, but eyeballing it the lumens are at least in the ballpark they claim compared to other manufacturers. I have a short showing Beamshots outside of that's helpful to you!
Olight is one of my favourite brands and probably the largest brand represented in my collection. The baton series has served me well for over a decade now. I don't cover Olight lights as much on the channel simply because I don't have a lot of the latest generation and can't afford to keep up at the moment, no have they reached out to the channel like other brands have. I'd love to make more videos on them in the future if there's interest :)
@@gearedforward Nice, I see you’ve got a few Olight vids now that I checked out your channel! They can definitely get to become an expensive collection item very fast lol. I’ve got a Warrior 3 mini, Arkfeld Pro and a Perun 2 Mini for my work in Aviation Maintenance, they are phenomenal. Just got a Baton 4 with charger case on this recent sale they had for home/EDC use and love it! Gonna be real happy I bought it when the power goes out!
@@DamascusBurrito I've got the original Arkfeld and the UV (wish I just waited and got the Pro lol) and love the Perun 2 mini. I have the charging case for the Baton 3 and absolutely love it, the case for the 4 looks like a massive improvement,i particularly like that you can use it with the Perun too.
Darn, you're making that old Olight itch act up again...
That's really quite small for an 18650 light. Shame there isn't a 21700 version, I think that would be more useful for the power bank function.
How compact it is was one of the standouts when I first handled it, good design overall. Completely agree on the powerbank aspect, it's hard to really justify using a light like that with less than a 21700's capacity.
Another video where the power or the performance of a light is not taken outside and shown.
For beamshots I encourage you to watch the associated short, which should be linked in a card.
@@gearedforward Sorry now that I read that back. It sounds very nasty. I didn't mean it like that. I just was searching through a videos of lights. And it was like 10 and a row before. I finally commited on yours my bad I will check that out
@@MrJoeygregory No worries, and I appreciate the apology that was very refreshing to see even if it wasn't necessary!
I hope the Short is helpful to you! It's performance for the size is pretty nice, bar my complaints with the UI, it's a very solid option for a Flashlight.
