thank you for sharing! I will try that too but I think it's ridiculous that ASUS doesn't do anything about it. I returned the card 2 times and every time they say there is nothing wrong with the card. But now i get more and more users replying to me youtube movie that they had the same issue. So maybe on the end I have enough evidence to claim a fan-assembly replacement because its just an engineering flaw.
I definitely agree with you! It's ridiculous if you even consider how expensive the card is. I think I will even put rubber pads unter the fan screws to limit additional vibrations as seen on another video.
I found out where the vibrations are coming from. The fans are fixed on a plastic frame over the heatsink which at certain rpm is vibrating. I put a rubber pad under every screw of each fan and now it´s everything quiet. To do that I just loosen all of the screws of the fan and I tucked the pads using a tweezer. Just bend the fan a little bit and it´s no problem to do that. I got my inspiration from this video: ruclips.net/video/EomL1oysVXs/видео.html I don´t even need to use my wooden support any more!
Thank you! Thank you! .. now i can sleep again:I have 1 Asus STRIX R9 Fury. I bought it on 14 january 2016. at 1450-1500rpm i had the same clicking-tapping noise. I sent it to the shop they sent it to Asus and they say; There is nothing to fix. I then installed the Card with a plumb level, but before i tested the tightening of the fan screws. Now there was much less rattling and it was at more or less 1500rpm then it diseappeared and came back at over 2000rpm and i didnt know why there was less noise!!! Is this really only about the mounting angle?. To cool down my mind i ivented a theory that the plastic support for the fan is vibrating and tapping on the cooler. Then i saw your discussion and was very glad that my theory seems to be right. I will apply the rubber solution as soon the rattling gets louder again.
I'm glad I could help you with this very expensive issue. I already wrote to Asus explaining how I solved this problem but I didn't get an answer so far..
I have the same card and get the rattling issue at 50% fan speed. Less than that theres no rattling. Do you i think I have the same issue? I thought I could be the bearing at first since it was a rattling noise.
Hi , I think I have the same problem with you was your noise like this : ruclips.net/video/jho_SDyORaY/видео.html ? This is a little louder than mine but it sounds similiar.

Try to use the rubber pads under the screws and you will find out. That is not that difficult

give it a try with the rubber pads
Thanks for answering so quickly ! If you don't mind can I also ask which screws are you talking about? And do I have to remove the shroud?
Artorias take a look at the pictures in my amazon review(German):

Oh so screws are just under the fan? Thanks a lot. I guess I can reach it with a small enough screwdriver
