Great tutorial. When I try to copy & paste stroke box, it doesn't appear on AE. Am i doing something wrong?

Jamel-Rashad Thomas first make a new shape layer in After Effects, then copy the stroke box from AI. Paste it in the shape layer in AE. Now apply an effect called “Generate stroke” and you should see the stroke. Hope it works!
